2  Other / Off-topic / The New Ideas Thread - Walusimbi & Co. on: May 30, 2013, 10:01:05 PM
The hardest part of starting a business is not coming up with the idea but taking the first step after the idea. Well this rule doesn't seem to work for me. I have no idea and yet here I am... stuck with a collection of over 1500 companies that are ready to help me take that first step after the idea (all from different fields and regions including Africa's best - Walusimbi & Co.)... does anyone have any ideas on how/where I can get any good ideas?

It is already hard doing it the usual way... so why would you want to make things harder by wanting to have it work for mac?

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Price on: May 19, 2013, 09:35:54 PM
I'm nearly sure that  LTC will rise to  at least 6$  ,  roughly  2-3 month time
everything depend on popularity.

I think  there is no  CPU-only  coin  , just  smart people  letting us  mining only on  CPU miners  Smiley

I agree with your value estimate but I disagree with the time estimate. After the Bitcoin bubble don't you think 2-3 months is so short a time?
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is bitcoin?? on: May 19, 2013, 09:34:02 PM
- No more than 21 million bitcoins will ever be created.

Truly amazing. Question is, is it possible for one person's bit address to hold all the 21mill? (hypothetical)
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Freelancer.com Scam Alert on: May 19, 2013, 09:12:57 PM
Freelancer.com has just announced that they will start accepting and paying their contractors in Bitcoin but I believe this is another one of their scams.

I started working from the Freelancer.com platform with a $0.00 balance. I got my first project on freelancer.com and completed it. My client was happy with the work and even gave me a bonus. I was paid a total of $640. Freelancer.com embargoed my earnings and refused to release the money to me for no good reason. I even tried to get my account closed but they blocked me from doing so until I withdrew the funds (which they were holding onto).

So now, after a week, I log into my account and find that I have a $-40.27 balance (a negative balance). Incredible!! On my statement it shows that they refunded the money to my client. But... without consulting me? So, what this means is that I worked for a client and instead of getting paid, I was charged the amount I was supposed to have earned?

On contacting the Freelancer.com Support representative, he said that this was NOT an error. He even threatened to suspend my account if I didn't upload the amount. So, my client is seated somewhere earning more money from the work I completed. And he has also got back the funds he was supposed to have paid me. Courtesy of Freelancer.com.

I had done everything in the powers of a low-wedge freelancer to ensure that I didn't get scammed. I had checked the client's profile before applying for the job and Freelancer.com had marked it as "Financially Verified." I had also checked the client's project history and indeed, he has paid other freelancers before me and received positive feedback. So why did they target me?

What's for sure is that I have been scammed. Sadly not by my client. But by Freelancer.com.
