"A freight broker is an intermediary between a shipper who has goods to transport and a carrier who has capacity to move that freight" MEANING..DOFT NEEDS A DOT NUMBER AND SURETY BOND. If you look at marketplaces like uship... they have both a DOT # and Surety bond.

You cannot claim to be the "Uber of trucking" if you're just like Uship.

You guys clearly know nothing about shipping or real-time freight applications.


Sometimes I see questions like does Doft need a license of a freight broker.

The answer is no.

Doft is not a broker - Doft is a marketplace.

The difference is that the broker is involved into the cashflow between the shipper and the carrier. He receives the payment from the shipper, cuts his commission and pays the carrier. That is why he needs the license from FMCSA and a surety bond.

Doft is not involved into the cashflow. Doft factors the payments. What does it mean? Usually the shippers and the brokers pay drivers 15 to 60 days after the shipment is done. Some brokers can offer quickpay at an additional fee. Doft makes the payment right after the shipment is completed and the POD is received. Then Doft collects the payment from the shipper. Still Doft doesn't cut the commission. Doft has a fixed service fee.

Broker decides whether to work or not to work with each particular carrier. He does the complete carrier's safety checkup. And if something goes wrong he can be accused in negligent carrier acquisition.

Doft does the complete carrier checkup before any motor carrier is assigned, but it is the shipper who decides whether to work with each particular carrier or not to work.

That is the difference.

Does DOFT have a valid DOT# and Surety bond?

When you look up this information it states "expired or invalid" Now why would a company with thousands of users not have a valid DOT# and Surety bond?

Legally in the US a freight broker needs to have both of these to operate on any roads.

Also, When I offered to share real information about this company from PROFESSIONAL venture capitalist and Angel investors...A mod decided to delete my post. Does this forum condone SCAMS? Clearly..DOFT is lying to people and telling them they have users (That they do not have) nor do they have any Angel investments nor do they have A legal basis to operate as a FREIGHT broker in the US (Since the DOT# is invalid)

Can DOFT answer these questions directly?

Also, You can see DOFT has tried numerous roads to get investment but failed..Look at Crowdfunder.com

Can DOFT state with 100% certainty that they have actual verifiable trips going on right now and if so will they provide investor access for due-Diligence??

Here is the biggest question..If DOFT is  successful like they claim..Why are they doing an ICO and not traditional funding from a VC or a real angel investor? If you look at crunch base your investor pool is no name investors (Are they real?) can you show 120k check or wire depositing into your company bank account?

If you copy what other people do and not innovate...how do you expect to win and provide a ROI? You surely can't win a pricing war with your competitors since they have 100s of million in funding (in the case of Uber Billions). Most importantly..Truck drivers want cash in the form of a FIAT currency.. The average age for a truck driver is 55+ ...now why would a 55+ year old man or woman want to risk financial hardship so close to retirement? The short answer THEY WON'T

WHAT MAKES DOFT DIFFERENT? Short answer..NOTHING.

Full disclosure: I'm the CEO of a trucking app that actually innovates and builds business through handshakes, road trips, and cold calling. No scrapping here!!!

 I could be a dick and share feedback on DOFT from a few VC's and Angels that they spoke with, but I would prefer they do the right thing and end this Fraud ICO (Return any funds received).

Interesting, it seems to be a very promising long-term project, but I need more information about ICO, I hope dev give more detail about this project, good luck
     they are just scraping loads form old system, their adoption is fake, drivers and shippers are years and years away form using a coin, Doft are just using the old system to make money, they are not solving any real problems for the shippers or drivers. Don't waste your money on them!
Event though the post is so simple, but i think that this project is really interesting.

Does your company work only in the USA or also in other countries?
If only in the USA, are you going to scale? Most likely in the country there are no problems with the cost of sending and the currency that you pay.
But if the work takes place in different countries, then there really is a need for a crypto currency.

2 What do you mean when you say we do not solve problems?
a - There is a problem - Brokers and shippers pay 14 to 60 days from the delivery date. They ask a fee for a Quickpay. We pay 24 hours after the load is delivered with no additional charge.
b - There is a problem - Drivers move empty about 30% of their time. We solve this problem by offering backhaul loads.
c - There is a problem of unscheduled shipments for the manufacturers, or so called HOT loads for the Brokers. Our service is on demand and it sure helps to solve this problem.
d - We also save time for both parties - and that means we are more effective. This saves money.

Background on Doft.

They have little to no users. (Look at the playstore reviews)
No outside investment from Angels or traditional VCs (if they claim to do 150k in business daily or monthly...Angels and VCs would jump at you like Transfix or Convoy)
No sustainable business model
No industry experience (Do these guys know what a fifth wheel is?)
No organic Business growth...Why would you aggregate loads from a load-board if you claim to be the Uber of Freight?
No real board that backs this company.

The founders have entry level job experience......and the app is pretty much a script you can buy online and rework to look like yours..NO IP protection.

AVOID like the PLAGUE
