If it was running without cooling and you unplugged it while very hot, that can cause damage to the ASICs.
Just noticed this interesting tidbit.
I'm using fans to keep them at a 'warm' level, can you elaborate on why unplugging while hot can damage the ASICs? Is it due to the sudden mechanical movement or something related to removing the electrical charge & temperature?
Cheers

NoComply, hello, thanks for responce. Already fixed secret key problem. It caused because generated key wasn't passed to validator.
Confirmed, working nicely now.

One request: would it be possible to add an API endpoint to get WMP's current XMR rate. The rate indicated on the dashboard appears to fluctuate (as expected) but it feels inefficient to poll some external service and do the math to adjust for differences if the external XMR rate differs from WMPs rate - exchange rates of exchange rates gets messy. Something like:

Code:
https://webminepool.com/api/{secret_key}/get_wmc_rate

Or just include WMPs XMR rate with other api responses, such as /user_hashes/{username}, as that is likely to be polled fairly regularly and will save API load.

Had a moment to read over the docs and noticed this:

Assuming it's referring to the Private key column at /keys, it doesn't seem to have been generated when the Site key was generated:

And this is the error when trying to add a new key:

Work in progress or a site hiccup?

.
Testing it out briefly and looks like a tidy service. I'm having difficulty creating a secret key to use with the API requests (maybe I've overlooked something somewhere). Whenever I "Add a new key" at ./keys and enter a Key Name and submit, it's showing the error "The secret key field is required." Not sure what a 'secret key field' is exactly?

Nice game! Was up 100k and lost it all, cringe haha
One observation: it might be nice if the Balance was formatted to 8 decimal places (including trailing 0's) while it's updating, just a small thing but I had a hard time keeping track of the remaining satoshi sometimes. Good implementation and fun while it lasted, well done!

Thanks for your feeback. We will do the changes soon.
No problem Smiley

Sure, you can go that route. I believe that each stick has unique id that can be retrieved (at least on *nix, never tried it on Windows) and with a bit of scripting you can probably automate everything
Sounds familiar, I recall it being numerical in relation the the lsusb enumeration so, --usb 1, or something along those lines. Never had a real use for it personally but definitely a nice feature to have and might be suitable for goose1072.

Can you control frequency

Look under USB Management in cgminer. You can blacklist certain devices. I haven't tried in South so I don't have specific steps for you

not looking to blacklist it (think it disables it when you do), even though I am not sure if it would keep that one at 100 while having the others go to 200+

You can always try running two instances of cgminer, with different parameters.
For example, start the first one @200, with autodetect on, plug in "other two" sticks, disable autodetect after sticks are detected.
Start the second instance @150, with autodetect on, plug in the "middle" stick, and that's it.
Might it be possible to run two instances and use the --usb switch to target specific devices? I haven't used the switch since initially playing around with cgminer, so I might be misrecalling the exact purpose of of it...

Been experiencing a lot of 'auto-claim' activity from Brazil recently so extra checks have been implemented on addresses with claim/payout requests originating from there. There's always one that has to ruin the fun.

13  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: December 13, 2017, 12:17:10 AM
Hello All, I've been going through this thread trying to see any similar issues to what I'm seeing with no luck so far.

I have just setup a new RaspberrPi3 with the latest Raspian image. I have been able to get the vthoang cgminer 4.10 setup and working, and with two(2) 2pac on a powered USB hub the SW launches and logs into my pool with no problems. I'm running at the default freq of 100 for now. After some amt of time, anywhere from 2-6hrs the Pi seems to crash and is unreachable. I'm not exactly sure where to start to see what kind of problem I'm running into. the Pi is running headless so there is no screen to look at. Any suggestions?
I get lockups with my zero on the odd occasion, I've never really found a solution. Running cgminer with the real-quiet and net-delay switches helped a lot though. Other than that, I've read suggestions that it could be: the pi hitting a ram limit, possibly a usb library hiccup, maybe sd card quality, but none seemed definitive. There's some old (different hw) discussion here which might shed some light, or maybe one of this thread's veterans might be able to chime in with something more concrete that I might have missed in this thread.

OK I'LL BE CLEARER NOW

I have a NVIDIA gtx980. I can and i know mining directly with the wallet !!! ex "ccminer-x64 -t 1 -a sha256d -o 127.0.0.1:35651 -O user:password" : Is good

I have a GekkoScience 2Pac . I dont can and i dont know mining directly with the wallet !!! ex cgminer.exe -o http://localhost:33332 -O user:password --gekko-2pac-freq 150 --btc-address MEcXEiE2re5oGSdgNRyLp7gDU8XfFj4dyA : Is not good Why? (Marycoin)
I know nothing about Marycoin, but reading the announcement thread, perhaps the 2pac (ASIC) isn't supported yet? Total guess btw, just interpreting the last post by the Marycoin dev.

...Admittedly, it was a real bitch to compile cgminer of anykind for macOS, so I understand your pain. Keep trying, you'll get there. Just make sure you read the brew install error messages very carefully. Some of the module names are not the same as you have for apt-get in Linux/Ubuntu, so you'll have to try variations in brew to get them to install correctly.
Can't emphasise this enough. It was a breeze setting it up on a Pi (Debian), but on macOS, woowee I remember it feeling like a never-ending game of solve-one-error... then scour the some obscure github comments section for some alternate switch or package update... only to encounter another error, sigh... and repeat Cry
It did work in the end though, so hang in there. Just hope I archived the cobbled how-to txt doc if I need to repeat the process in the future. Fingers crossed I won't as it's been chundling along happily on a pi zero for quite a while now. For the low price, they're a great option worth considering.

My 2Pac has been running well for several months. However, lately it has started to mis-behave.
It will run for 1-2 minutes, and then disappear. It requires me to unplug the USB port and re-plug it back into a different port in order for it to get recognized again.
Plugging into the same port does not cause the 2Pac to be seen, it must be into a different port.
If one port is unusable, how do you make it usable again? I assume itīs a hub? Do you power it off? Or restart the system?
Im running on a RPI3, so it has 4 USB ports.
All I do is stop cgminer with a ^C, unplug and replug into a different port and restart cgminer.
No reboot or power cycle needed.
Not related to your problem but thought I'd mention that its possible to 'reset' the USB ports via the command line without replugging. I don't have it to hand but it's mentioned over on the Pi forums with some discussion and pictures of different cmds to reset different ports. Off the top of my head you can reset 2 ports at a time (top pair or bottom pair) or all 4 at once. Quite handy for remote management.

I've finished registering, and I'm now browsing your website. I'm enjoying the interface, congratulations.
Thanks, its a work in progress.

Great service! Now we just need a way to ingreate it into FaucetHero.

Thanks, yeh that would be great, have to check in with AR about that.

Update:
Faucet-Hop sprinted past the 30,000 requests mark sometime today, a lot of users hopping between faucets. If you're an FO and would like to join the fun the - coupon code above is still valid. The interface has been updated to include a some useful faucet stats. Plenty of things on the to-do list still.

I'm seeing people signing up and adding referral URLs as faucets... that's not how it works.

This is a tool for Faucet Operators only.

Cheers
