1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin the most popular cryptocurrency? on: October 27, 2017, 11:38:09 AM
I believe that they're popular mainly because well it was the first of all cryptocurrencies to be made. Honestly most of the other coins are scams and greedy ways that the developers make money. The only other coin I can think of that isn't a scam are dogecoins! What do you think?

because the network effect must not be underestimated. Actually usefulness of bitcoin currency is growing with the square of participants inside it (Metcalfe's effect). For this same reason most money flows into Bitcoin and not alt-coins, which gives Bitcoin even infrastructure advantage (new applications, etc....).
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: October 25, 2017, 05:22:59 AM

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Bitcoin? on: October 14, 2017, 07:25:26 AM
I personally know quite a bit about Bitcoin. However, this thread is for the community here. The idea is every post should contain NEW info which hasn't previously been posted in this thread.

For example, I will start with the obvious: Bitcoin is internet money

Is this a perfect explanation? Of course not. This is where you come in.

Please post the most detailed aspects about Bitcoin you know, without repeating any info previously posted in this thread.

The idea is as we scroll down, the discussion should get continually more complicated as we dig further into the technology, development, history, etc.

Make sense?

So I will repeat the starting point: Bitcoin is internet money

Bitcoin is the first decentralized peer-to-peer payment network that is powered by its users with no central authority or middlemen.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where does Bitcoin came from? on: October 14, 2017, 04:13:06 AM
Where does bitcoin came from? How it's made and how does it expand/grow? Thank you for any answers.

base on my searching on the internet bitcoins are created in a process called mining, where a computer repeatedly works through a series of calculations that are designed to be difficult to solve, but to lead to a specific answer.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi? Why did he hide his identity? on: October 12, 2017, 11:01:42 PM
Why did Satoshi hide his identity? Has anyone seen Satoshi in real life?
Is Satoshi one person? Or is it a community?

As i know satoshi is a creator of bitcoin because he his identy It is always better for a decentralized application inventor to be anonymous. That helps the "community effect" where the community knows that the application belongs to the community.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Become A Bitcoin Expert on: October 12, 2017, 04:30:26 PM
should learn a lot in this forum will certainly get many benefits. In this forum many people who already know about bitcoin, we can learn from all the people in this forum by asking or by learning from the talks they discuss about digital currency.

to become a bitcoin expert you should create bitcoin account to become an expert in bitcoin and blockchain is no different from anything else you want to become an expert in, you have to read about it.Research some wallets, download one, on your PC, your phone. Purchase some bitcoin, not necessarily a whole lot, just enough.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: October 12, 2017, 08:09:38 AM
Do you think that sometime in the future, Bitcoin might overcome Paypal, as it scales in capacity and userbase over the years?

We already have the ability to create our own marketplace with OpenBazaar, that uses Bitcoin as its payment method, so it should be no surprise that the combination of these two may be a fierce competition for both eBay and Paypal.

Nevertheless, feel free to vote on the poll above and express your opinion about it, if desired.  Grin

it wont not paypal if paypal ever did then blockchain will disapear because people will buy btc from paypel as an easier way.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin survive? on: October 12, 2017, 04:59:23 AM
After there is a BCC can the bitcoin survive or bitcoin will be much more up the price after this
What do you think about this?

yes if bitcoin will keep survive if people around the world keep using bitcoin. but if no one use bitcoin anymore bitcoin will dead for sure. So it's depend on ourself.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does China hate Bitcoin? on: October 11, 2017, 11:38:19 PM
since when are we focusing all our attentions to one country in the whole world?
and since when did we centralize bitcoin to only one country and stood around watching what they say or do to decide the fate of the decentralized and global currency that people created and control?

... oh right, since the bitcoin rally stopped and we wanted a drop to make profit and buy back cheaper coins!!!

I don't think that they hate it but they want something even more. i think They want to ban bitcoin and create their own coin that could surpass btc.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advantages of paying with Bitcoin on: October 09, 2017, 12:31:12 AM
So today I purchased web hosting from Namecheap using Bitcoin and it was incredibly cheap, simple and best of all, anonymous. When it comes to website ownership, depending on the kinds of sites you are building, this can be an important thing.

One of the reasons why Bitcoin took off initially was because of its privacy and anonymity benefits. Back then there were so few places where you could actually spend Bitcoin, so people ended up purchasing illegal things to test out the platform.

Now, we can see and trust definite advantages that Bitcoin as a technology brings - secure store of value, anonymity, global/universal currency, transparency (blockchain), software apps can be built on top, etc

but I really just wanted to get your opinion...

What are some advantages of paying with Bitcoin?

for me once and for all because using it we as consumers do not have to risk our financial future when we do things like our Christmas shopping.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin the most popular cryptocurrency? on: October 08, 2017, 01:41:15 PM
I believe that they're popular mainly because well it was the first of all cryptocurrencies to be made. Honestly most of the other coins are scams and greedy ways that the developers make money. The only other coin I can think of that isn't a scam are dogecoins! What do you think?
Well if you'll think of it that ay, bitcoin is popular because it's been the oldest of all crypto coin so it is only normal that most community have already known it which makes it that popular which unlike  other coin that has only been released  like a year or two. There is ETH which is showing potential to be popular yet it is not a coin.
Bitcoin provides a lot of opportunity to both young and adults in the community so it is only normal for people to spread word about something where they can all benefit.

Base on my searching Bitcoin was the top performing cryptocurrency in the last three months, despite the mega-rally earlier this year in so-called alternative coins, or altcoins. And also bitcoin became the first decentralized crypto currency in 2009.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: October 08, 2017, 01:54:37 AM
I've been talking about Bitcoin to family, friends and random people for years and nobody seemed to mind when BTC was under $1000. But now that Bitcoin has reached $2000, people are starting to realize that owning 1 BTC is beginning to be out of reach for the average person.

I've had more people ask me about Bitcoin lately and wanted help buying Bitcoins. What about you?

There are so many people asking me about like some of my friends they are asking me what are doing me here and are you earning here.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money? on: October 06, 2017, 03:52:27 PM
There are many differences of bitcoin and real money.. bitcoin you can use it online as alternative real money you can buy anytime there.. in bitcoins you should have too because many other will exchange it fast and instanly in our place.

Base on my researching that said the money in any form when in actual use or circulation as a medium of exchange, especially circulating banknotes and coins. And the bitcoin is there is no central authority creating new money or clearing transactions.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: October 05, 2017, 05:14:23 PM
Bitcoin is difficult to explain. I also felt difficulties in understanding bitcoin for the firs time. Let's share how to explain bitcoin to children of teenagers. In My country I can say 98% children don't know bitcoin. In fact, bitcoin can be future money. If the children not familiar with cryptocurrency or bitcoin, how can they face the digital era in the future.

Explaining bitcoin in teenager or children are very hard and if you dont have a proof or good information about bitcoin but if you teach carefully and explain well maybe they can understand the bitcoin.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: October 05, 2017, 12:57:55 AM
I just wanted to know that, what amount of risk is there in investing in bitcoins.
Right now i am planning to buy btc approx 3-4 btc and just hold them as i guess the price of bitcoin will increase in future and i will get some good profit. But i want to know what is the risk involved. Can bitcoin price decrease and is this right time to buy the bitcoin.

Probably the biggest risk to the future success of Bitcoin as both a currency and as an investment class is regulatory risk. If China, for example, decides to ban its citizens from holding bitcoin, the price of the digital currency would crash. China is by far the largest market for bitcoin trading, with over 90 percent of trading occurring in the People’s Republic. Hence, any negative regulatory changes would have a direct impact on the world’s bitcoin investment.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: October 05, 2017, 12:05:55 AM
I have think of it and i have save up bitcoin just a the small amount because i have plans for it to have fun like travelling didn't even save it for future purpose. so i wanted to know what are you going to do with your bitcoin if you save bitcoin. Why do you save bitcoin for? and why? what is the purpose why you save up bitcoin to your wallet and not to spend it.

For me i save bitcoin both fun and for future purpose. Fun why because i come out and get together with my friend and future purpose why when im having a children someday i will use my save bitcoin to them in studying.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What impresses you the most about Bitcoin? on: October 04, 2017, 05:13:24 AM
Bitcoin has been impressive in a lot of ways since it's beginning but the one thing that blew me out the most was the ideology. A foolproof peer to peer online transaction system based on blockchain technology was just a beautiful set of works executed and implemented by Satoshi and no wonder it has already made its mark in every field it is being used in.

i agree because Bitcoin has been impressive in a lot of ways since it's beginning but the one thing that blew me out the most was the ideology. and i really think that if bitcoins can not eradicate this problem, it can at least provide something for their needs.
19  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: October 04, 2017, 03:22:14 AM
Recently, i often see discussion about Bitcoin Bank. More and more people come here and ask about bitcoin bank & surprisingly i see few user agree with this idea.
So, i would like to find out the percentage of user who agreed with this idea.

Honestly, i think this idea is stupid and worst idea that i've seen in my life. What do you think?
p.s. we don't talk about bitcoin debit card OR any centralized service which only ask name and email address.

Yeah i strongly agree that idea is stupid and worst idea that i've seen in my life. With Bank you often use to keep your cash and receive stable interest every month or year but with Bitcoin I think we no need to send it to bank.
