1  Economy / Economics / Re: What should I choose on: December 30, 2018, 11:48:45 PM
Hi guys, I just graduated from college and wanted to have a better income but didn't know what to do. I want to find a solution to get around this situation. There are just friends who invite businesses to provide income, and there are also those who invite to invest in cryptocurrencies. If you are in my position and faced with these 2 choices, which one will you choose:
1. Invest in cryptocurrencies
2. Opening a real business

Give me the reason why you choose between the one above

regards
For me in my own opinion is, I choose both of those choices. The better ways to earn more is to make a multiple sources of income so that if something's happened you have already a backup income. It's really up to you if you have doubts for yourself that you might not earn it back then you should probably start thinking about your future.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the right time to buy ETH. on: December 30, 2018, 11:25:22 PM
Knowing that we all suffer through this bearish trend and now we hope it's almost over it's the right time to buy ETH!
ether has a very low price at the moment because it is stable at $ 275- $ 300. That's around $ 800 3-4 months back and probably will recover soon.
Given that ATH, this should be a good price to buy a few ether because it will return some good profits.

Ethereum is one of the best coins after bitcoin. Indeed, now it has been defeated by XRP, but soon ETH will take over the position. I think 2019 is the year for rising ETH prices. I will continue to invest in ETH, this is a good opportunity to buy because the price is cheap.
If you're thinking for long term investment for sure ETH is one of the coins which has a good benefit as you can see the price is so cheap to buy. This coming 2019 I guess, it will give us a good benefit and it might also give us an opportunity to earn bigger profit, let's wait and always think positive for the outcomes of the next upcoming year.
3  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit "trading" - buying and selling Bitcointalk merit on: December 30, 2018, 10:58:22 PM
I think merit system is very good thinking by admin of bitcointalk.org. By merit system anybody can know his posting quality when another person give merit for his quality post.

But if anybody misuse this merit and sell it by money its fully opposite of forum rules and regulation and i think it should be punishment for that.

There's already a punishment as tagging the account of merit abusers. It's not easy to spot it however, if its blatantly obviously at some point, DT members will not be hesitant to give that account a red paint. However, I'm not really sure about the red trust is effective though, because if you go around bounties, there are still campaigns accepting participants even though they have a red trust.

Merit abusers will always be here as most of them are after for what they will earn if they will rank up. If you are not greedy, you will just do your job and use the community to your advantage. Learn more about the world of crypto and maybe, contribute to this community if you already have something that you can share with.
Most of us here are after to the, as what we have the SMerit which I don't think it is very helpful, because we can't deny the fact that some of us here are trading their merits. But there's a good thing for this merit system brings to us, one of these is to control the population of new users in this thread and to avoid multiple accounts.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: I want to Exchange My 0.09 ETH to BTC on: December 30, 2018, 03:13:10 PM
Well it's not actually a waste of mine, but for sure if you did that without no further research and knowing the market is not good that's your big lost.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do with the current market? on: December 30, 2018, 02:56:20 PM
I think we should wait till what will really happened to the market as of now it is not actually good and the flow of the chart is rising and falling back, but not as usually happens last few months which it is totally down.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PONZI SCAMS ARE STARTING TO RISE on: December 30, 2018, 07:32:16 AM
I believed that Ponzi or whatever you want to called had been with this industry since those scammers discover that they can make a lot of money here because people are too gullible to trust blindly. Specially if someone would offer attractive returns. So the only way to fight them back is not to fall for the trap. Just used your common sense and I'm sure that you will be fine in this market.
People here in the Philippines can easily be fooled in investing money its because of the bigger profit we may get through and since those scammers have an experience about bitcoin, people who don't actually know the flow on how to earn in bitcoin can easily be fooled or as you say it's a trap.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [repeat] I AM HODLING on: December 28, 2018, 09:58:30 AM
I'm newbie in cryptocurrency space and o missed my opportunity in the last bullrun because I have not a single coin or token at all but now I'm started gathering more and more so I will be holding till I see another huge bullrun before selling and taking more advantage of it
Then this maybe your chance to buy at it's lowest price and by the end of this year we will be expecting about the bull run so we should keep holding until the next year will start.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: a factor that will make bitcoin recover on: December 27, 2018, 04:55:31 AM
the question is what will make bitcoin recover and can have high prices again?
For Bitcoin to be able to recover it needs a mass adoption, I mean Bitcoin is already popular but some people still don't want to get involved to it in many reason and one of the reason is legality in some locations. But the biggest solution for this is for countries to create regulations about cryptocurrencies and since many countries still don't have law and regulations there are people that are still afraid to adopt cryptocurrencies. If governments will post a good regulations, there will be more traders and investors will be tempted to enter the market.
As what you have said yes, it needs a big amount of mass adoption which one of this are investors and the legality of bitcoin in which government in every country is the only one who can make it possible, besides we all crypto users can get benefits of in the near future. Bitcoin is already popular by now, due to the price right now we all know that there's a good and bad possibilities that can bring to us.

10  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Mangyayari paba ang bullrun ngayong taon ? on: November 09, 2018, 06:53:15 AM
That's right agree ako sa point mo marami naman altcoins jan though hindi natin malalaman kung di rin lang natin susubukan, for the mean time let's just save bitcoin and ready ourselves for outcomes na mangyayari if ever tumaas or bumaba by the end of this year.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Want to get Merits?? Read this!! on: November 09, 2018, 06:21:22 AM
OP, sorry, nothing personal, but I think this thread wasn't really needed. You put effort into your post and collected correct information, but the problem that there was so many similar topics and you just repeated points which already been covered so many times. I think that there are more than enough information for newbies about Merit.
Accept it or not, 99% of the users are in because of merit. So why not tackle the issue head on. It is like everyone wants one but doesn't want to talk about it.
I think you exaggerate Merit too much. Not everyone here need Merit, same like not everyone came to Bitcointalk to earn money.
Maybe this person didn't know that someone has already opened a topic/thread about how to get merits, but for some reason it is actually good seeing this person trying to help other users and shared the idea of earning merits.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: How is bitcoin this year on: October 28, 2018, 03:09:26 PM
although this year the decline of bitcoin is very sharp but bitcoin is still leading in crypto, and like in the past year, bitcoin is really going to increase later this year .
Yeah this year bitcoin value is decline so much but all cryptocurrency only bitcoin is always on top value. And I think this coming year bitcoin will rise and give us good profit so it's better to calm and patient to wait.
Market is volatile and we can't actually predict what will happen to the prices but still we are all hoping that by the end of this year or maybe the next year bitcoin will give us a good profit, for only those who believes and have patience.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When Bullrun will start? on: October 28, 2018, 12:54:57 AM
Hey guys. I know it is very hard to guess but let’s try. I think bullrun will start in November, of not I think in January or February of 2019. What is your opinion? Which factors do you think will influence bitcoin pump? Want to read your thoughts.
Hopefully the bullrun will happen by the end of this year just like what happened last year or maybe by the start of this coming 2019. There's no specific or exact date if when will it happen but for sure it will give us more benefits and opportunities.
14  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trading, campaigns, gambling or mining? on: October 27, 2018, 01:57:53 PM
Which one would you prefer or best to earn? As far as i have come across, crypto is the best platform to have good earnings. We have many who have a good experience on it and still into it without a regular job. Many have left their main job after experiencing double income from crypto. Many have become millionaire and have changed their lifestyles. Which one would be the best to have good crypto earnings?
It depends on you if you are really dedicated and do a hard work here in crypto. Yes there's a lot of opportunities here in crypto which others have already achieved but the propability of making successful is only less than a chance to what they've expected/predicted.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money on a long-term period on: October 27, 2018, 12:14:05 PM
How to save money on a long-term period or an essay on black metal.
This is the translation of my original article. The original is here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4452770.0

I apologize for my English. This is not my native language and I have to use an automatic translator. But I think that you will understand my main thoughts.

Hello friends! Bitcoin is cool. I am an enthusiast of bitcoin and I hope for his growth. But periodically, all holders have to face problems. In this topic, I would like to share with you my idea (and experience) on how to keep the constant value of your money (and even multiply it by a percentage higher than inflation) over the long term. What do I mean by long-term? Period of time in the range from six months to several years and even up to tens of years. The latter is also possible (I think so), although, personally for me it is more of a theoretical interest.
Why is this relevant and how is it related to the cryptoworld? I think that you already guessed). It's wonderful to be a holder and a tractor) crypts on bull (and, especially, a long bull market), but from time to time come to us very different times. Yes, from time to time long bear markets come to us. As an exemplary example of such a market, you can cite the year 2014, when almost the whole year bitkoyn, and with it the rest of the crypt, basically fell.
I foresee a similar scenario in the not-too-distant future; of course, after the cue ball is once again otzemunitsya (well, if it really happens).
So, suppose that you are an investor with some margin of crypt. Let's say that you were able to correctly anticipate all the roller coaster growth and the beginning of the bearish crypt market. There are signs that this is serious and for a long time. You'll have to wait for turbulent times in fiat or its steeblechkan equivalents.
But!:
Will it be right to keep money in fiat on a long-term basis? (by default, we mean that the fall will be indefinitely - long, from six months to several years - the bitcoat cycles are stretched).
Finite money for long-term storage has many drawbacks. Firstly, whatever they say, and Fiat - it's just pieces of paper and figures in the database (in the case of a non-cashier), not protected against rampant inflation (which, by the way, is very different from officially stated). Nobody and nothing can prevent the state from printing these pieces of paper and tsiferok as it deems necessary. A real example before our eyes is the depreciation of the ruble against the dollar in 2015 +/- 2 times and the subsequent price increase. In my opinion, only solid material assets (or bitkoyn can protect you from such devaluations, but it, as we agreed, in this case is in the hands of bears). Below I'll talk about this in more detail, and now a little about how I came to the conclusion about the effectiveness of saving funds in black metal. I came to this idea spontaneously - intuitively.
In 2014, I thought about building a house with a garage, more precisely, first about the general extended foundation for them. For these purposes, I purchased a sufficient number of metal fittings. I bought with a decent amount of this excess, as I kept in mind another building object. After the construction of the foundation, the majority of the reinforcement remained, however, and the construction season was crumbling. For a while I forgot about my metal. He was lying on my plot in front of the future garage with a huge heap (tied up). I remembered about the valve only in 2015 after the devaluation of the ruble. And I was pleasantly surprised at the preservation of the value of my money))). I tried to test the remaining metal. After the announcement on Avito, several real sellers responded at once, which pleased me pleasantly. They were ready "right now" to buy up all of my armature.
Although the price I put even higher than the market ... it's by the way, eloquently speaks about the liquidity of black metal. This gave me serious food for thought and I ... changed my mind about selling, and used metal for construction on another of my real estate properties. But the very idea of keeping the value in black metal, as they say, has deeply sunk into my soul. I realized that in this capacity, black metal, perhaps, would plug the belt and gold and real estate and, even more so, cash (there were crypto accumulations at the time, but no one knew how long this "exhausting flat" would last) . Before the next crisis in the crypt (the current one I do not consider a crisis), I plan to decently recoup with black metal. Most likely in the form of reinforcement, it can be profile and round pipes, most running sizes)
And now let's compare in order the black metal as a means of preserving value with cash, gold, real estate and, for example, antiques).
      1.) Black metal and cash
1. "Internal Value" (hereinafter referred to as the consumer value). Cash has no intrinsic value; they are unable to perform functions other than exchange (for other money, assets or goods). That is, theoretically they can depreciate completely (a fantastic scenario, but nevertheless). Black metal can always be used for its intended purpose in construction.
2. Stability of value on the long-term. In the long term, Fiat is gradually depreciating, black metal is not. It, of course, can rust, but we mean responsible dry storage indoors. The joke is that my armature was lying open for several years. It is a bit rusted, but no one pays any attention to it, the cost is preserved).

3. Compactness
Black metal is not as compact as various forms of fiat money, but it is not necessarily seen as a drawback. But it's not so easy to steal it). Compare that it's easier to steal: a bundle of banknotes (crack non-cash money) or a ton of black metal))).

2.) Black metal and gold.
Gold has many of its forms, each of which is not very convenient for long-term storage:
Gold bars (hemorrhoids with banks, registration, difficulties in selling back, state monopoly and seller bank, unfair prices for you.) If you store gold in a bank, you pay decently for storing your gold, as a result your savings melt)
- Investment coins. Again, you will trade with the bank in a way that is not profitable for you, because you are in unequal relations with it.
- Jewelry. The problem with the sale. There is no uniformity, each product is unique. A substantial part of the price contains the work of a jeweler, which your buyer can evaluate.
- Various forms of non-material gold ("paper gold", assets tied to gold, various derivatives on / from it) Intangibles here are the main minus.
Gold loses to black metal in practical use. In the regulation and limitations of its turnover. In too great a variety of forms and the absence of rigid unification (which could have a positive effect on liquidity)

3.) Black metal and real estate
Real estate loses to black metal:
1. The need to register transactions in a specially created for this purpose state institution
2. Real estate objects are too diverse and not uniform, which can make their sale more difficult. Each property is unique in its own way.
3. Black metal has a "volume flexibility". You can buy a little more or a little less in a fairly large range. The real estate object needs to either buy in its entirety or not buy at all ("take what is given")
4. Black metal is mobile)
5. Buying a property you "buy" and neighbors and infrastructure that may wish for the best and with what (and with whom) you have to put up. With black metal, this is not necessary.

4.) Black metal and antiques
Antiques can be uncomfortable for a novice investor. In it it is necessary to understand. It takes years to develop competence. This is a separate occupation. Again, internal heterogeneity and a huge variety of antiques can affect liquidity. In regions and small towns this direction may be undeveloped (and most likely not developed). The practical importance of black metal is much higher than that of antiques. I think that in a crisis this is manifested more strongly.
So, I briefly outlined the prospects for investing in ferrous metal. We can say that this is one of the ideal instruments that hedge the risks of crypto currency. But does black metal have drawbacks? Unfortunately - yes, more precisely, I would say, features. More precisely, I see only one feature - a disadvantage. For a resident of a city, especially a large one, owning an asset such as ferrous metal may not be very convenient). All the same, you need a garage, or some kind of storage space on the property rights or opportunities for free access. Friends, that's all. Write how you wait for the bearish long-term markets)

It is not easy to save money. Trust me, it’s not easy, especially when you’re working on a job that pays you monthly and it happens that you’re being owed some of the times just like they will do at our work place, they will just owe you to the extent they will ruin your plans of saving money. Sometimes they will owe workers up to three months before paying and by the time you solve your daily problems, trust me there will be nothing left to save. ☹️
Well in my own opinion it is not easy to save money it's because of our daily needs and that's why a lot of people even if they have already a job it is not actually enough, our needs are getting expensive from time to time and we need to work hard in order to buy and as what you have said there will be nothing left to save.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading stressful for you? on: October 25, 2018, 02:36:28 AM
I believe it is!
What do you do to relief trading stress?

then don't do trading!
it is obvious. if you find it stressful then it is not something that you should be trying, for your health if not your financial situation.
there are millions of other ways in the world that you can make money or profit on an investment and many of them have lower risks and stress compared to trading.
I think you have also a point which it's actually true and besides if trading is not good for you then it's time to make another ways on how to deal and make more enough money but for me all I can say to you is we've also experience that way too maybe you should need to be more patient and don't let stress feel you down.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: first term "HODL" on: October 23, 2018, 09:57:26 AM
this is interesting, because everyone will often make this decision. traders, investors, or speculators.

the term "HODL" appeared in 2013, and came from a GameKyubi post in this forum. with the big theme "I AM HODLING"

he posted the theme because bitcoin dropped to $ 600 from $1300.

and today, investors prefer hodl. but, what is the decision for traders today? or many investors are turning into traders?

Probably the thing will happen again in the near future. We just have to wait and see it for ourselves without making any conclusions for now.
There's a fact that our conclusions could end up into two possible things which is good or it could be more worst from what you have expected.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of HACKERS! on: October 23, 2018, 05:10:20 AM
I prefer a wallet that has secure backup, the back up should be encrypted to avoid hacker on having access of the account. This will allow the user to restore a wallet without having to type in your seed – the password will be enough, and the QR code of the seed doesn’t even need to be displayed on the screen of your device. This can provide defense against malicious software trying to capture the screen of your computer or smartphone. Wallet such as HODLER possess this feature and it really an effective way to keep from any act of hackers.
I totally agree with you about that sometimes we should be careful when we are trying to access our account even if we are in our homes or using public computers and aside from don't leave your account opened so that all your important files will not be accessible by someone.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lets be careful on what we are investing on: October 14, 2018, 03:49:20 PM
Yes, previously we invested in many in development coin which makes us lose money in the market. Recently you can see there are some projects which will help to develop what they mentioned in the roadmap. So it is always good to research before investing into anything.
I've done that also before which I was trying to research and being updated to all their social media accounts but still it ends up into a scam which is they've got a nice platform.
20  Economy / Marketplace / Re: issues on the internet on: October 14, 2018, 01:24:47 PM
The Internet has helped people all over the world to come closer to each other. Thanks to the development of the internet, people have got a deeper understanding of technology 4.0 and the blockchain or cryptocurrency platform. The market is also heavily influenced by the internet and the price. The same as that we need to study the truth of the news before believing something.
I do agree with you about the internet which it helps us to make things less effort and efficient, but we should do more research about the news outbreak before we make our own perspective or opinion about what happened and yes, by the help of the internet we can now easily do a search but the fact that not all the information being given are true.
