Looks like both my Back bets were matched at separate times, but I still don't understand how that works. On previous occasions my Back bets showed up as matched immediately, I assume because I was matching someone else's offering, while this time I was also matching someone else's offering yet it took a period of time for each. It's not like I created these markets or came up with these odds, so who did?

Who creates the markets and odds at BetBTC? Is it always the end users or is there also someone else doing it to prime the pump and get the conversation started? Even though I believe I understand the difference between a sportsbook where users bet against the house and a betting exchange like BetBTC where users are supposedly betting against each other and the house makes their money taking a small commission, the mechanics of how this works in practicality at BetBTC are still baffling to me. For example, I saw a market offered today for the David Haye vs Tony Bellew boxing match taking place this Saturday. There were moneyline odds offered in the market to back Tony Bellew to win at +205 with a limit of 0.012 BTC at the time I backed it for the maximum allowable and then I also took some on Tony Bellew to win by KO/TKO/DQ at +430 for 0.03 BTC.

I didn't create these odds or markets, so I have to assume that I am matching someone else's wager at the time I back these bets, right. Yet, both of these are showing as unmatched bets? How is it possible that these are unmatched? Aren't I matching someone else's bet when I click "Back" and confirm and the bet is accepted? If I am not matching someone else's bet, and I didn't create the markets or select the odds manually then who is creating these markets? Is there an oddsmaker or webmaster employed by BetBTC that puts these odds out there and hopes to get backers for both sides?
3  Economy / Gambling / Re: FAIRLAY - SPORTS BETTING for experts - highest liquidity, provably best odds on: October 03, 2017, 11:59:44 PM
Hope someone can help with an account issue. I've had an account at Fairlay for quite a long while that I used occasionally, but when I went to log in today it would not accept my user name and password that I had been using. I noticed that login fields since the re-design now ask for an email address (instead of a user name) and a password but it would not accept those either. So I followed the Forgot Password link to try to re-set my password and it said that I was sent a new password. But I haven't received it yet at my email address a couple of hours later now.
