Does anyone know the optimal setting to mine Ethereum on these 3 cards on SimpleMining?
Geforce 1080
Geforce 1080 Ti
Geforce 2080 Ti
The calculator software on some websites say my hashrate should be higher than the one I have. Thanks
Unfortunately there’s a hardware issue with 1080tis and most older nvidia cards. As the DAG grows over time the hashrate drops. My 1080tis used to get 54mh, now they get around 44. So my guess is you’re seeing older numbers on those calculators. |

Did something happen in an update that would cause my 5700 XT rig to give me the " not enough GPU memory to place DAG, you cannot mine this coin with this GPU..." error? The rig has been working great until about an hour ago. Now it just reboots, errors out without mining, and reboots again. Details on the rig: 8 rx 5700 xt 8gb cards of several different brands, Celeron chip, 16 gb ram, running SMOS Claymore 15.0 on a usb thumb drive. I am writing another usb drive with the v1281 file to see if that helps. My 480-580 rigs are still mining fine at this time.
Edit, new image did not help. The v1281 program updated to v1294 I think, then finished booting only to have the same not enough GPU memory to place DAG, you cannot mine this coin with this GPU error/reboot sequence.
Claymore hasn't been updated in a very very long time. Switch to another miner like Phoenix or TeamRed |

Did the ETH DAG limit get big enough that 3GB cards don't work anymore?
One of my rigs with 3GB Nvidia 1060's stopped working today.
Did it? Mine is still going. Make sure you’re on the latest claymore. Weird. I'm getting cuda error 11, can not write buffer for dag. Im using claymore v12 Same. Rig down. And cant apply overclock settings or anything. Mine stopped last night. Looks like we're done with 3GB cards on eth. |

Did it? Mine is still going. Make sure you’re on the latest claymore. Weird. I'm getting cuda error 11, can not write buffer for dag. Im using claymore v12 Try a fresh usb image. |

Now I have invalid capcha in Safari, it's working in Chrome
I’ve had the same problem for months. I just keep refreshing the page and logging in and after several tries it always eventually works. Sometimes take 10 tries or more. |

- bminer-v12.2.0 (Optimize CPU usage. Fix compatibility issues with grin-pool.org and grinmint.com. Experimental support for Turing GPUs. Allow bminer to run with older NVIDIA drivers.)
- gminer-v1.20 (reduced CPU usage with Cuckaroo29)
- xmrig-amd-v.2.9.4 (Fixed Masari MSR)
- xmrig-nvidia-v.2.9.4 (Fixed Masari MSR)

Is there a device command we can use to specify which Nvidia GPU's we want to run on grin-miner or bminer? Thanks,
Yes. Bminer has this feature. Add -devices 0,1,2,5,6 |

New miner version:
- grin-miner-v1.0.0 (mainnet release, and also reduces VRAM GPU requirements from 7GB to 5,5GB)

Solved with driver Nvidia 415.13, Cuda 10.0, i was on 396 Nvidia 396.54, Cuda 9.2 Smiley
What's the actual procedure to do this ? I'm far away from the rig, I need a long distance solution. Go back 2 or 3 pages for instructions on how to do it by ssh. |

Getting 0 GPS with grin-miner-v0.5.2, anybody had luck with this miner?
I have the same problem. Before the mining this flashes on the screen quickly: Thread 'unnamed' panicked with message: _called `Option::unwrap()` on a `None` value_ See grin.log for further details. Same issue with 1080 ti 11gb Solved with driver Nvidia 415.13, Cuda 10.0, i was on 396 Nvidia 396.54, Cuda 9.2  Thank you! I thought that might be it, but didn't want to update the rig for nothing. Looking for a ” Miner OPTIONS” configuration for CryptoNight-Heavy that makes the AMD RX580 8GB cards run with their peak performance.
Under Windows 10 with SRBMiner these cards run around 950 H/s per card, but in SMOS they end up around 660 H/s in both XMRig and XMR-Stak, so if someone know which setting I need to add to the configuration in SMOS to solve this speed issue that would be great.
Yeah I need one also, I think its a threads issue 2 vs 1. +1 We need to be able to run 2 threads. How can we do this SMOS developers? Just a quick update on progress. Addition of per-board frequency support is moving along...
REALLY looking forward to this. I have one ASIC where one board runs 10 degrees higher than the other two. Has anybody tried re-pasting the heat-sync or something to try to lower temps? |

Hi guys, anyone here knows how to successfully program OhGodETHlargement on startup.
Tried editing rc.local, but once miner updates, file gets erased.

Anybody has implemented this successfully? Mine is still auto starting ETHlargement since I posted how to add it to rc.local a couple weeks ago. My rig rebooted 5 hours ago and updated, and yet it's still auto starting ethlargement. I'm not sure why it's not working for you. |

I would also like to ask to implement OhGodAnETHlargementPill as a button, or something else that doesn't need ssh.
I can not use ssh for a reason.
the reason is 'cause you are newbie?)))) but yeah i definitevely agree, the hive has "just button" for this. And moreover, i've got on 1080TI 48 MH on 1080 - only 30 MH after ethlarge. i can't find out wtf is wrong with it, will try hiveos, maybe smth interesting come up. ahaha lol, please stop joking bro. nope, i have other reason, absence of static ip on my 4g router. P.s. About you hitting 48 mh instead of 50+, try flashing latest image on usb. Just curious, why do you need static ip? you're not connected to the same router I guess? |

Thx I figured it out . I get 52 MH/S core +0 memory + 800 200w

Why. Why i do have 47 MH on core 0 memory 800 pl 200 msi 1080 ti x trio. This card on topic "EthLargement" perform 53 mh. How i can fix it? my 1080ti's range from 43 to 53. You can try playing with the mem and core, but some cards just won't go any higher. Start with core 0 and mem 0 and work up from there. I had a card that hashed 47 at 800, but 53 at 400. your PL is wastefully high too. try 160 and you'll probably see no difference in hashrate. |

I tried "OhGodAnETHlargementPill-r2" with my 6 x 1080ti, but I only went from 35Mh/s to 40Mh/s. Anyone else in my case ?
Mystery solved ! It seems I had a very old version of SimpleMining on this rig since it was running for a very long time. So I flashed a newer version and now I go from 35MH/s to 51Mh/s. Excellent ! Hello, How did you manage to use OhGodAnETHlargementPill-r2 on smos? Thanks 1. You need to connect to your rig with ssh. 2. Open a screen with : screen 3. Type : sudo /root/utils/OhGodAnETHlargementPill -revA 0,1,2,3 (where 0, 1, 2, 3 are the ids of the GPU) 4. Detach the screen with : Ctrl + A + D (so it can run in background in the screen) On step 4 you say it can run in the background screen. Does this mean we need to keep the SSH window open? Thanks Here's what I did so it automatically starts when the miner boots: 1. SSH into the miner, type the following: sudo vim /etc/rc.local 2. edit the file by adding the ETHlargement command above the miner script. Here's what mine looks like below (FYI, to edit the file with vim, type "a" on your keyboard, then edit the file as normal, hit "Esc" on your keyboard when done, then type":wq" hit Enter and it'll save. Make sure you have the "&", it's important and makes the command run in the background and stay running. ---------- #!/bin/sh # # rc.local # # This script is executed at the end of each multiuser runlevel. # Make sure that the script will "exit 0" on success or any other # value on error. # # In order to enable or disable this script just change the execution # bits. # # By default this script does nothing. sudo /root/utils/OhGodAnETHlargementPill & bash /root/utils/rclocal.sh & exit 0 ~ ~ --------- DONE! reboot the miner by typing "sudo reboot", BAM problem solved. |

Is there a way to run 2 threads with xmr-stak-v2.4.2-cuda8 or set intensity like I can with SGMiner?
I had to change to XMR Stak from SGMiner when everything went to Monero7 and XMR Stak hash rate is really low, I think it must be doing a single thread.
Did you try Claymore instead? I'm getting about 900 with it. I need something that can do Monero7. Claymore can't unless something changed I'm unaware of. I'm stuck between xmr-stak and xmrig, SGMiner used to work but not since everything forked to Monero7. SGMiner I could pull 800-900 with my cards but using XMR-stak Im getting 650, I couldn't even get XMRig to work right. So yeah for like a week I guess, I've been doing XMR-Stak at 650 per card. I just hate I'm missing out on 200+ per card. It runs great but the hash rate sucks. Im guessing its a single thread... I have no idea what to put in the script to get it to run 2 per card.
