1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] (QTUM) - A Scalable PoS Smart Contract Platform - MainNet Complete! on: January 06, 2018, 11:05:04 PM
This has gotta be the most annoying investment of all the currencies I'm in atm. How is the price ALWAYS so much lower than any other coin in the top 20. 80% of the other coins don't even have a product or a working main net...its JUST ANOTHER COIN that does the same shit the other 1000 cryptos do. I don't get it. I look at the price of this every now and then and I'm like why the fuck am I wasting my time and money on this. You've got articles partnerships, updates, main net up, staking wallet, its a gateway coin. Wtf more does a coin need?? And its like - 12.00% on the 7 day spread. Meanwhile Tron and literally just about any other shitter in the top 20 is like up 100% AT LEAST within 3 days. Does anyone here know anything I don't? Is this actually one big scam waiting to erupt?

Hey I hear you on this. If we were evaluating projects on adoption, QTUM should be the next platform after ethereum. The thing is that QTUM team does not go out of its way to pump the coins price with news, etc. I still think QTUM is going to make some moves to the top once people cant stop noticing how good of a project it is.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XRB]Cryptocurrency's killer app: RaiBlocks micropayments on: December 10, 2017, 08:08:50 AM
Can anyone explain aside from using DAG why RaiBlocks would be preferable over highly scalable and fast existing currencies (Ripple, Lumen, etc). This really seems like a flavor of the week coin, not saying that's a bad thing. If you can make some quick money go for it, but Im not convinced there is any real reason why this coin would prevail long term unless they start getting the level of partnerships  that some of these other coins with similar performance can achieve.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRIG] TRIG Token - Blocksafe Foundation on: December 02, 2017, 06:13:31 PM
If you missed it , Blocksafe Masternodes will earn 25% (Monthly). $TrigX $trig $ammo

More details  https://medium.com/@BlocksafeUpdate/blocksafe-ama-dec-1st-fe79e535ad58

How can you determine the % return when you arent sure about the amount of coins it will take to hold a masternode? Am i missing something here? I am super excited to hold mine... just wondering how you can conclude 25% without knowing the # of coins needed
Yes, it's really strange. Anyone can explain?

They said in their AMA 1500 tokens gets a masternode. Not sure where the confusion is it’s on the medium post where the 25% figure came from. My biggest confusion comes from what wallet to use and blockchain/protocol they plan to use. Coinmarket calendar and the rumors were suggesting QTUM, the white paper says the tokens are ERC20 and then further down at the bottom they talk about using a counterparty wallet. Can someone please clear THIS up for me? This kind of disagreement within a final white paper is not reassuring to me.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | DPOS | APPS & DAPPS | Mobile App Store | Blockchain Incubator | Rewards on: November 28, 2017, 12:37:01 AM
29th will be Rise ICO right? Will bittrex holders receive the coins as well?

I read a lot about rise today but what ICO are you talking about here.
Can not find anything about that Huh?
pls explain

On Coinmarket calendar there is a date of the 29th where supposedly the Intralet ICO is supposed to be happening on the RISE platform, but I am getting skeptical about that if there is no other news anywhere else. Can anyone confirm this?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Obsidian ODN - CryptoCurrency & Secure Anonymous Messaging on: November 25, 2017, 03:52:50 PM
5800 Sats now. Any particular reason?

Yes. They’ve been making showable progress lately, with their first app, the messenger supposedly going live at the end of the year. They also are doing a complete relaunch with new marketing that is scheduled for December 4th. Lots of positive news lately that I think has contributed to the price rise. Unless something shocks the crypto space on the short term I think price will keep rising in Advance of the 4th and depending on how the work they’ve done is received it will either crash back to $.25 or keep going. Definitely makes sense with the activity this team has had lately.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Quantstamp - The First Decentralized Smart Contract Security Platform on: November 21, 2017, 08:43:49 PM
Anyone knows how much the circulating supply is? How many tokens they sold from the 650M ?

I’ve been wondering the same thing. All indications to me is that the entire 650,000,000 is in circulation from he token sale since I think they sold out and they said they would burn unsold tokens. Not sure if this is true, the information really isn’t readily available. 650,000,000 puts this project with a decent market cap already and I would have to agree with others is probably pretty expensive. Never know in this market though. I like the team, but their website needs an upgrade bad.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💎💎[ANN][NEBL][[PoS] Neblio - 🏙Enterprise Blockchain Solutions on: November 21, 2017, 03:13:18 AM
@Jimmi Andersen sorry but you have not answered my question... Why people sell Neblio at $2,80 when they could sell it at $5,99? They are diversifying their funds? Investing in new projects? I really do not understand what you said, the use cases is more than clear at this point.
If they are so clear then you could perhaps mention a few? Just 3?

I guess this is a strange thing to question. Neblio is a platform, similar to quite a few other platforms. They all share the same utility. Are you questioning the use cases for Lisk, Stratis, Neo, ethereum? Yes, there are a lot of them, but im not so sure that's a bad thing. We are talking about technology that is about to rapidly spread across the globe. If you think there isnt enough room for the existing platforms to all thrive and carve out their own users and markets then I disagree. Quite frankly, I think there's room for a few more. Just look at any industry and see how many successful multimillion/multibillion different companies exist within them. This is just the beginning and still and I dont think the market is oversaturated.

Also, I think Neblio is smart in targeting existing businesses and their jump to blockchain. While all platforms are more than receptive to this, there is definitely going to be a huge market for these types of projects. A lot of companies will begin to find use cases for blockchains within their business. Platforms which help the development of these applications in the most seamless way possible will thrive.

I was little wary of another platform project back when Neblio started its original rise in popularity, but I have become much more open to the idea that we are seeing just the beginning here.

So tl;dr "because blockchain hype". Problem is that there's a ton of new blockchains in development.

Certainly a valid criticism. But to just say that this project has no value or does nothing is simply false. Its up to everyone to weigh the risk/reward and decide for yourselves whether the market is oversaturated or not already. I think most people think in terms of their locale, city, country even. This is a global deal and business comes down to relationships. There is plenty of space for these platforms to all succeed as long as they have good products and they actually can successfully build a customer base.

Anyone heard any updates on roadmap? Is Q1 still the target for release of APIs? Have they hired anyone yet? These are the things I’m interested in.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💎💎[ANN][NEBL][[PoS] Neblio - 🏙Enterprise Blockchain Solutions on: November 16, 2017, 09:23:25 PM
We finally did it! We are going to be listed on binance exchange, be ready to trade NEBL in one exchange that is growing the most. I hope we can see the price raise because last days are being so hurtful for my little nebbels. Dev made an annoucement in slack, remind to join the channel!

NO!

"Nebliodev:
As I just posted in slack. To be clear, We are always in discussions with new exchanges. Any official statement regarding Neblio and Binance will come from the Binance Team."

This is good that someone clarified. It just didnt make sense to me that the Neblio team would slip up like that. Im Pretty sure this is against any agreements for these exchanges.

other people expirincing tokens not delivered?

From where to where? Can you be more specific?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Obsidian ODN - CryptoCurrency & Secure Anonymous Messaging on: November 15, 2017, 08:01:09 PM
Is this coin have any new planned features for future that can grow price? If i join website how many coins can i get from website?

They have hired a company to help them do a relaunch of their brand, which is supposed to go live on December 4. I think this is a good move because I think that a lot of people have a hard time understanding what obsidian is and is trying to be. I think this project has huge potential especially at these cheap prices. A new white paper with better information about what they are trying to do is a step in the right direction. The coin itself has bottomed out at $0.22 - $0.30 for quite some time now. Obviously its lost more and more against bitcoin, but I think there's a lot of potential here since they do have a decently sized team and seem to be giving this a real try. I feel like this sounds like every post made by someone trying to support a crypto that has been in the gutter for a long time but there's definitely some upcoming events to be looking forward to with this coin. I wouldnt write it off just yet.

Does anyone know the actual circulating supply of this token? Also, it says its trading on Etherdelta, and I can't find it under "AMB" or prefix that CMC has it referenced at. Anyone know whats up?
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SUMO] SUMOKOIN - 🔏 Digital Cash For High-Confidential Transactions 🔏 on: October 21, 2017, 09:24:54 PM
So is this intended to complement Monero / AEON? Or would it provide similar service in a different region/group. Im on board totally with this family of coins, but Just trying to see what people think is different about them. Specifically this and AEON.

Basically SUMO is a Monero clone with the fastest growing community and fair developers. It demonstrated that it can survive attacks and implement solid fixes without disrupting functionality of the code. Stable and continuous development and open communication from dev team makes me believe that this is "LTC to Monero". It doesn't have a lot of resources like Monero, but it's obvious there is a way more dynamic progress - GUI wallet, easy miner etc.. in just a few months.

In contrast to that Aeon is considered to be a light version of Monero, mostly due to participation of smooth, who with his professor-like rhetoric is able to manipulate community into believing in the future and supporting what I consider a dead coin (now it's a second time it went dead). Despite the weak code it was pumped recently and miners are heavily pushing diff higher. Once they start to shift large amount of coins around they may realize how weak the code is. There is two years period where only fixes were implemented in a very unprofessional way ( no testing, rollback, fix of a fix..) and to me it still looks very outdated, missing features and eating all memory. While it is marketed as cryptonote-light, it's just minor tweak of protocol to make it look like you get double hashing power and more revenue. It is still not using db to store the blockchain and randomly strange things can happen. I was not able to send coins for a week, transaction went out but was not confirmed for days. Rescan of the wallet showed coins again, but transfer was not possible due to "invalid transaction". To me as end user it is a platform I don't trust at all.

Anyway I wish bright future to both coins and supporters of them and I hope next year there will be finally some real world usage of SUMO and massive growth in traded volume.

Thanks that was helpful.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][UBQ] Ubiq - Smart Contracts For An Automated World on: October 21, 2017, 08:43:21 PM
Meanwhile many ubiq owners/miners have noticed that some (a hand full) users here have nothing positive to say about ubiq.
I personally think this is okay (even if they´re just posting negative things regardless if true or not), everyone should have ist own opinion.

But why the hell -when ubiq is just scam and shit etc. in your individual opinions- you guys are not just quit from this thread and go to the end of the rainbow (alternative coins) where everything is legit, fine and you can make big $$$ within ultrashort time?

I dont say you´re stealing others or my time. No. It´s still exciting and funny to read in an ubiq thread peoples statements that ubiq is evil and everyone is just fuc.ked from the team and so on.
Don´t get me wrong, i´m in mining since just 3 months now, and in my understanding this is a mid- to long term coin (so no rainbow, lambos and chicks ala sex drugs & rock´n roll within days or weeks) but you guy´s are just complaining and crying like little Girls and (again: in my opinion - spreading FUD).

Finally... to check alt crypto charts every day multiple times, and awaiting a huge rise, and saying everything is shit because it´s not rising... i mean wtf? Are you guys 12yr old Boys or what?
So considering to switch to a coin thread where you smart guys believe it´s legit and worth would be healthy for you peoples minds because you would be able to focus on positive things instead of (in my... again opinion) troll around.

I agree that its amazing how quickly in this space people turn on a project when the coin doesn't rise all the time. I personally pay attention to the community that surrounds a coin as well as the idea. It also seems like mining and the amount of people willing to mine a coin seems to be highly correlated to success. Ubiq in my mind has done those three things very well (idea, community, mining). However, it does seem like in order to achieve what they want to achieve they are going to need some real connections in the ethereum community with companies that are willing to transfer their coins/tokens onto the UBIQ platform. That remains to be seen whether that is really a viable business model and I also wish there was more information available as to how the team was doing on that front. It might be more of a matter of time if this recent wave of ICOs decides they need something more stable once Ethereum updates continue to occur, but I do think UBIQ will probably need a bigger team if they are going to succeed with mass adoption.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AST] 🔥 AIRSWAP: Peer-to-peer Decentralized Exchange backed by ConsenSys on: October 21, 2017, 07:41:08 AM
So the white paper literally doesn't saying anything about how it creates value for the tokens. There's a lot of cross over here with Kyber, and I believe Kyber's white paper also references this one. This is a risky one. Obviously decentralized exchanges are coming and will be a big hit, but they can't all be successful. These are going to have be valuable services for AST tokens to be worth much in my opinion. I agree with a previous poster - not sure why they really needed a token.

Trying to stay positive for those invested in this one. I wish you all the best in luck. I will be keeping my eyes peeled for the best decentralized exchange. Bet your butt if it's AirSwap Ill come and congratulate all and trade a few..
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: October 20, 2017, 02:46:58 AM
One report is causing this? i find that very hard to believe.  There's no way that a single report like that is generating 40M+ worth of volume...

I know its almost impossible to believe myself. But the same thing happened last month when they recommended NEOGAS. Remember when Gas like launched out of nowhere? It was because of the same report. I'm not sure if the issue has been released yet but the news was already spreading that their pick of the month was ZenCash.

**Edit - I also went back and checked -his august edition recommended OMG and it was right before OMG spiked from like 5-6 to 12. I'm telling you this guy has pull with people with money and so volumes seriously pick up after he issues his recommendations. Of course I wish I could pull that off myself but since I cant it just pisses me off honestly....:-). I love though that there are people making money off of it as that is a great reason to be in crypto. There's just something about the whole thing that really stinks.

I didn't benefit from this at all, and honestly I congratulate all that did. But I find this Palm Beach report to be the most ridiculous bunch of BS. I'm sure Zencash is great and all and I find many of the other coins they've covered to be quality, but for one report to have this much sway over the market is just nonsense. There's a bunch of serious sheep/idiots with money that do whatever this guy says. I wish I had the report right before he publishes it every time. This guy is making a killing.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MONETHA - Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: October 19, 2017, 05:47:35 AM
I listed to an interview on ICO alert from this team. This project has a long way to go to be successful. I wish these guys the best of luck but this is a very competitive space in crypto and they are really going to have to hit the ground running. They should try to partner with Angie's List or something with their ratings system. That might be a winning idea if they can figure out a way to incorporate a network of services that people really want.

The price is super low so I considered buying in but aside from short term pumps I think it might be awhile and require some proof of concept before this is going to go through a long term price increase.
