The idea of a burn is good for several reasons:

1. Shows the team burns coins when they could hold on to them, thus meaning they aint money hungry and are building up trust. Its a good reputation move.
2. Whales can buy lots of coins before the burn without having the price go up crazy and keep a good $ per token ratio, this might probably happen just before the burn. And then price reflects it after burn.
3. Keeps a good balance for small buyers and big as well.

I`m not sure about Gimly but...being in partnership with eBoost, a huge scam coin from 2016 that disappeared and now re-appeared in 2017, same style, same everything.

Not because of satoshi21's previous scam, nor that its a tainted coin. But because this coin just makes people that hold it bitter and grumpy. Madness.
