1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your house for investment in btc. on: January 30, 2018, 05:45:15 PM
Is too late for Bitcoin!
I suggest invest in some reputable altcoins...the only reputable with future i have in mind is....ETHEREUM...

It's not too late for bitcoin but yes there are probably better alternative coins now. That's besides the point, selling your house to invest in any crypto is absolutely absurd, it will only lead to loss and disappointment.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: January 16, 2018, 06:35:16 PM
Of course, eventually much more: it's just its instability that creates a block toward general acceptance.
At present, it's practically useless in normal economy.

It has its benefits and its disadvantages. We would be able to gain a lot more adoption in terms of an actual use case, on the other hand we would lose a lot of the people who are in bitcoin for speculative reasons or treating it like an asset.
3  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your goals in 2018? on: December 16, 2017, 02:50:59 AM
I have a goal to own 1 bitcoin, hopefully I can achieve that if I work hard and am sensible with my money, or of course bitcoin could crash but that wouldn't be such an achievement. I want 1 $25k bitcoin.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: Difference of Trading and Investing? on: December 08, 2017, 02:38:40 AM
To me investing is buying something and waiting a long time before selling for profit. Trading is buying something and planning to sell at a specific price in the short term.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: Electronic Money vs. Physical Money on: December 08, 2017, 02:16:24 AM
Electric money is the future and physical money the past, first we had gold and then that become redundant with paper money and soon now paper money will be removed completely by electronic money and payments. Very seldom do people use cash nowadays.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: December 08, 2017, 02:07:05 AM
For bitcoin to have a stable price demand would have to be stable also which is a long shot. If it were stable it would probably lose popularity, it would lose all of the speculators and investors and instead gain people to use it for its use cases like payments etc.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Beside Cryptocurrenices where would you invest? on: December 05, 2017, 03:29:32 AM
Besides cryptos the first place I would like to invest is in real estate, it is such a sure investment and the earlier you get started the better set up you can be in later life. I would also invest in stocks and shares.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are there fees to move coins to/from wallet? Why? on: December 04, 2017, 07:21:49 PM
Not sure if I understand correctly. Say I buy coin from Coinbase / Localbitcoins.  If I want to move what I just bought into another wallet, it will be charged?

I also heard when you buy, in general the buy price is about 3% higher than market price.  Same when you sell.  This mean if I trade at 6% higher, it will only be breakeven minus the fee (unless I keep them in the online exchange wallet)?

Another question is, if I want to keep coins in H/W wallet for safety, I have to consider fee and the time for transaction confirmation which is tired to the fee.  If there is a big drop and gain, everyone wants to do the same, the time will take longer even if you choose fast transaction.

First question is answered above pretty much perfectly. Second question: fees and speeds are dynamic, if there are a lot of transactions because everyone wants to move bitcoin then it will require a higher fee for a faster confirmation.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: December 04, 2017, 07:15:21 PM
I feel it depends person to person but generally it is better to invest than save, it is important to split your money between the two but if you had a large chunk you should put more in to investments than savings. This is because savings will grow only by a very small amount if at all whereas investments can grow largely and you can be rewarded financially in later life.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: November 15, 2017, 10:49:14 PM
Honestly while I believe in bitcoin and its uses, replacing a national currency is not one of those uses in my opinion, it is simply not suitable to be used as a national currency, perhaps alongside one but not exclusively.
11  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you Think we Are alone in the Universe? on: November 14, 2017, 04:34:32 AM
There just has to be other life forms out there somewhere. It's just a matter of time before we find out....

Exactly right, there's just too many planets out there that there's no chance we are alone and no chance in my opinion that we are the most advanced of the races. One day we will find out and probably we won't survive it!
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I stop Buying BTC? on: October 25, 2017, 01:48:30 PM
I think probably up to even 10k you should put aside any spare income you can and invest it in to bitcoin, it will be worth much more in future years.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best way to make money with bitcoin in 2017? on: October 13, 2017, 02:34:40 PM
The best way is to be a successful trader, but this requires a lot of skill and also some starting capital. If you do not want to trade then you could try signature campaigns to make some small income for reading and posting within the forum.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Money above all things, Yes or no ? on: October 13, 2017, 02:20:10 PM
Money makes things easier. Going to church doesn't really feed your stomach but if you have money, you can go to church happy and full.

Unless of course you are a corrupt minister/priest and you milk the church and churchgoers for all of the money they have, then you can go to church and be full of all the 'donations'.. With regard to the actual question, I think money is an important aspect of life and certainly goes some way to providing happiness but it should not be above all else.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: Is NOW the best time to buy or enter in bitcoin? on: October 12, 2017, 05:29:07 PM
I think that right now is probably not a good time to enter in to bitcoin, the price to me seems quite bloated at the moment and liable to fall at least 10% below its current price in the near future. Still it is not a bad time to enter as I believe the price is still headed upwards for some time in the long term.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: October 09, 2017, 07:29:49 PM
I think eventually in the future all persons will have some sort of a biometric chip. Within this chip could be the functionality to link to a bank account containing a currency such as bitcoin. A person would then use said chip to pay for anything that they need. This is probably a way in to the future but at this point it would be highly unlikely there would be any need for real paper money.
