I think the developer has been fairly transparent in announcing the plans for partnering with Mirai are no longer proceeding. And that instead, xGOx is pulling an in-house team together to work on its own MN coin to serve a similar purpose (rather than partnering with another developer).
Things are proceeding and there is some activity, but the changes I would think have to be very involved considering how big a pivot this is now. That's all I know for the past two weeks or so as it's been somewhat quiet. There are announcements and some more discussion in the xGOx discord if anyone's interested.
Bottom line, I think we're in a bit of a low-key accumulate and stake phase until the next big announcement from the developer.
Staking will halve again in about 20,000 blocks so this is the last chance to get over 100% ROI for the next several months. Likewise, this means the total supply growth rate will approximately halve as well and be going up relatively slowly and much more stable compared to January (~60% versus 500/250%) during the bull market.

This coin is a PoS or only a masternodes?
XGOX is a POS coin only. There is a separate and unique masternode coin being developed called "Mirai" that will complement the functions and use-cases of XGOX in that it will be associated with and optimize the back-end development and operations of the games/websites/affiliates/partners the XGOX gaming token is used on (among other things). It is a separate project and developer from XGOX, although they collaborate closely. The Mirai masternode coin is approximately 2 months away from launching, and will be available initially only by swapping XGOX tokens for Mirai. Is there any actual purpose for XGOX? I have only seen it being pumped and dumped without anything solid. Most coins just pump and dump like that anyway.
Hi there - sorry that no one responded to your question sooner. XGOX is a gaming token used for online gaming platforms. It's already today currently in use by large third-party sites such as 1xBet (for perspective, this site receives MILLIONS of visits in traffic per month), as well as working on developing its own suite of games that utilize the XGOX token (so far, there are early functioning prototypes for Black Jack and Slots that are available to play). The developers are really good at what they do from what I've seen, and are putting a ton of time into first making sure this is the most functional, fast, and easy-to-integrate token on the market and using this to continue to expand their already many affiliations and other relationships. The team is small, so the primary focus is the development and partnership side of things for now - but there is a lot of revamping to come as well once resources grow and/or free up (think white paper, and/or completely updated website, twitter, reddit, bitcointalk, etc.). Also, if you're interested, there's a separate but complementary masternode coin that is under development by a different developer who is working in unison with the development team of XGOX. What I'm getting at is....This isn't simply a pump and dump coin. Yes, there have been small pump/dumps attempted by the usual groups that do this that were not very successful; but otherwise, the coin has largely tracked the general market swings the same way most altcoins have since the February Crash. The true break-away that sets it apart from other coins will come once all of the on-going work is released in the near-future. Yes, there are huge changes and developments in the works that are set to release VERY soon. As part of the larger multi-part plan for this project, a closely-affiliated and complementary masternode coin is under development to be released VERY soon. Initially, it will be available via a "Swap and Burn" The details are still being worked out, given the volatility in the marketplace, but here's a TENTATIVE summary: You may -optionally- swap your XGOX for the new affiliated coin (name TBD). Any XGOX swapped will be burned. The swap-rate is still TBD, but they have estimated it will be 1400 XGOX per one "NewCoin" The amount of "NewCoin" to run a masternode is still TBD as well. But is estimated at 2600 "NewCoin" per masternode. The amount required will be determined based on the value of Bitcoin when this is out of testing and finalized for distribution. The "NewCoin" will be more for storage and transfer purposes, as well as back-channel integration and development in the gaming industry. XGOX will remain the token to be actually used on gaming platforms for betting, etc. Keep in mind, this is all still in the works so don't read too much into the specific numbers above. The development team will likely continue to tweak as the work is finalized, and will also be sensitive to the current status of the market as well. More details will be available soon. Hi - I think the best place for individualized help on the wallet is the Discord ( https://discord.gg/H5z5qU.) It's easier to talk there, so most of the people who help with wallet issues do so there. Go post in either the main chat or "help" section there. You may also scroll through the chat history there and find help with your problem. For what it's worth, sometimes it takes a bit for your wallet to connect to the server if you only just downloaded/installed the wallet. You should also double-check to make sure all of your folders and files are in the right place (there's specifics in the wallet-help section of the discord on what needs to be where and how to troubleshoot) |

All - I think we should try to focus on using only this official XGOX thread for discussion. I'm one of this rockies that december wave have bring to the crypto market and i'm still learning.  Almost from the day 1 i have been following the xgox project (i have enter under 100sat) and occasional and every month i make a small investment on it for stalking. They have a huge community, they are responsive on the discord channel, they have functional casino games like blackjack and integrations with well know poker/bet websites like 1xbet. The coin have a huge supply 2B+ but they are planning a new masternode coin only buyable with xgox (announced only on discord) in order to perform a estimaded 75% coin burn. So my question and my doubpts araise when I try to find more info there on bitcointalk and on internet on general and i don't find any relevant information about the project. Thread talks are small and i know that the project have already some years (previouslybranded as goku coin)  Can you please guys give me some of your opinions? it's xgox a hidden gem or not? i'm being a rockie missing something obvious???  Many thanks If I remembered it correctly, I was able to buy this coin (or the Goku coin) last year and made some profit out of it during its high POS return rate. But, when I see that inflation is starting to kick in, I literally jumped out of the ship and take whatever profit that I could take from it. That's the usual thing with these kind of high POS coins. You should know when to jump out and move on so that you'll not end up holding the bag that's only getting heavier and heavier through the weeks.
A coin burn would really help the price of XGOX to go up but I don't think it will solve the problem that it's having right now. I would definitely suggest to the team to ramp up their advertisement for this coin. I believe only a little portion of this forum know about the coin itself. Even if they started some MN services, if no one is buying, the price won't go up anytime sooner.
Their site looks pretty poor and abandoned and as I understood they already burned 62% coins as of 29/10/2017
from discord chat the feeling that i've is that dev team is not focus on branding/image of the coin for now. They are really focus on the coin development and i'm happy with that because will be what matter's on the long run. But i fully agree that the website, lack of web presence, etc are keeping more investors away. All of these things have taken significant amounts of behind the scenes time and effort that are beyond a full-time job for the team. It often gets lost and forgotten as thankless work, but the team just in the last couple of months has (i) updated the wallet to a new improved version, as well as repaired multiple unexpected wallet issues a bugs within 24/hour periods; (ii) maintained communication and resolved issues very expediently with exchanges such as Cryptopia (where the exchange was at fault); (iii) revamped and launched its own games that are, albeit early stage and simple, fully-functional; (iv) and announced new relationships with big gambling sites such as 1xBet (for perspective, this site MILLIONS of visits per month); (v) added a NEW decentralized exchange (CryptoBridge); and (vi) almost completed full development of a masternode coin which is not just a hype tool, but rather, will function cohesively with the gaming token and is being crafted to meet the actual demands of clients. How will the halving of apr and ending of POW play a roll in getting the price up?
Less inflation due to ultra-high payouts that push up the total supply of the coin. While staking is meant to reward holders (and does), paying out too much long-term can lower prices due to increasing coin-supply. The initial higher-rewards are meant to attract and reward early buyers/investors and holders, so that's another reason it decreases as the coin becomes more popular over time. |

Surprised there's not more activity in this thread. This coin really seems like it's in the midst of a huge and active development push. And it already has a few games out that use it.

oh boy... our beloved NOBL had exploded... as of this writing, here are the numbers... > price: $ 0.008288 USD > market cap: $ 19,656,888 USD > volume (24 hrs): $ 893,575 USD > circulating supply: 2,319,615,750 NOBL Taken from Bitscreener...  Yeah, it's insane. I worry though that we may flatline and correct very soon if there isn't any new news on the development front, however. The project is there, but I wonder how patient most people will be Either way, this is a nice long-term hold for when that time comes. This coin will be by most standards stupid cheap for a while compared to where it will get. But your gains go EXPONENTIALLY up if you were smart enough to get in now and have the willpower to hold. |

yeah, the price is jumping like crazy... anyhow, what's with the market on these past days? our beloved NOBL coin had continued to shatter its own ATH records hour by hour or day by day... is this price hike due to a pump & dump? honestly, I don't know if there are projects that our Devs had completed and started to implement it or, the market had uncovered this "GEM" among the stones... if they are, then hey, welcome to the NOBL family... wwwwweeee...  I'm pretty sure it's a little of all of the above. The recent altcoin craze I think is bringing some much-deserved attention to some awesome projects that have been hidden under the shadow's of Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. At first, I think people are looking for a quick buck, but then see that some of these coins like Noblecoin ACTUALLY have an amazing history and potential use-scenarios. If/when the sister applications achieve mass adoption (see Noble Movement website for these payment, giftcard, and financial transfer apps), this token will EXPLODE more than it already has. When something is still relatively cheap and low-key and has this great of potential, it's silly NOT to put extra money into it if you can spare it. Obviously, not more than you can afford to lose but this could be life-changing both from a technology and an investment perspective. |
