1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: November 20, 2017, 02:47:37 AM
I am using Zotac AMP GTX1060 6GB (Micron too)
For me, the setting Core Clock +175, Memory Clock +650. The higher i set, my miner get error.
Power limit depend on what you want.
For me :
65% --> 295 Sols/s (+- 77watt, Eff 3.7Sols/watt)
75% --> 310 Sols/s (+- 90watt, Eff 3.5Sols/watt)
85% --> 325 Sols/s (+- 103watt, Eff 3.25Sols/watt)
I prefer 65% power limit, so my temp on 58-60 C.
I am using DSTM Miner on Win7..

Note : I notice something, i don't know if it's true or not.
Before, i am using Seasonic G650 for 4 GTX 1060 AMP and when i set core clock +175, my miner will get error about 12-18hours.
But, after i change my PSU to Corsair RM850X, my miner can stand about a week without get error.
I don't know if the psu could help you stabilize your miner..

I don't think the power supply makes much of a difference here, I have a RM1000x from corsair.
My miner also crashes after running half a day and just keeps trying to restart. This happens with higher mem clocks.
At the moment I have set memory clock to +500 and and power limit to 70

From what I have seen Equihash depends on core clocks. Higher the core clock is, better hashes you get.

I am still trying to mess with the settings. Trying one GPU at a time on a standalone machine as suggested by wacko.

I have tried increasing the memory clock and the machine becomes unstable around 600.
Don't increase the memory clocks for all 6 cards at once. Overclock them one at a time. Even better, move them one by one to another system and test them separately: pull one card out, test it in a different system while the other 5 are mining the main rig, figure out the stable clocks, then put that one back and pull the other one from the main rig etc.

I was just wondering if have GPUs from different brands could possibly make the rig unstable?
No, it has nothing to do with different brands. It's just when you overclock cards in a mining rig the whole system might crash even when just one card is unstable.

Thats quite a good idea of trying these cards individually on a different system. I will definitely give it a try!

I have to say that I really appreciate you taking the time to answer such noob questions.

I am new to mining and I am still trying to figure things out. It's actually people like you that help me keep going.

Once again really appreciate it!

There's no such thing as a "sweet spot" regarding different memory types, and there's no way to tune memory other than the frequency (well, you could increase memory voltage with some Palit cards, but not with other brands). So you just overclock as usual — increase the clock until it crashes and then move back a bit. Samsung chips are the best overclockers so you could get more than +500 out of them. With Hynix +500 is probably as far as they go (although do try higher clocks of course). Not sure about Micron, seems to be between Samsung and Hynix in terms of OC capabilities.

People usually search for the "sweet spot" when they tune voltages/clocks — either through the powerlimit slider, or with the curves. Different people have different priorities: some go after the highest h/w (which usually means decreasing the voltage a lot), while others try to push their cards as far as they can by increasing the clocks (if electricity is cheap and they're not overheating — why not). And then there's all kinds of users in between these two extremes.

I have tried increasing the memory clock and the machine becomes unstable around 600. I am staying in India, ambient temps are high and electricity isnt cheap either.

Guess I will leave these settings for now.

I was just wondering if have GPUs from different brands could possibly make the rig unstable?

Hey Guys, need some help..

I have 3 cards from 3 different manufacturers running on one rig.

--> 1 x Gigabyte windforce 1060 6GB ( Micron memory)
--> 1 x PNY 1060 6gb ( Hynix)
--> 4 x Zotac amp 1060 6gb (Micron mem)

What would be the best settings on afterburner? I am mining using Nicehash(latest version)

Currently I have( for all cards)

Power limit = 70%
Temp limit = 70%
Core = 150
memory clock = 500

From what i have noticed each card has different settings depending on which brand of memory they are using. I am unable to find the sweet spot for the settings.

Please heeeeelppppp!!!!!
