It's a long story, but to summarize: hitbtc is trading futures on Segwit2 that was proposed then cancelled last year, this was a proposed Sha256 mod. Yobit issued "this" B2X to their clients holding BTC at the time of the fork, but they are not allowing people to deposit B2X onto their site, so effectively it is internal trading only. The only exchange where you can deposit and trade "this" B2X is Exrates, price at time of writing is $3.17. Well apparently there is a Brazilian exchange where you can put "this" B2X on, but yeah I'll let you decide if that's worth looking into. Bets on when "this" B2X becomes a penny crypto anyone?

Hi Devs, hi all,
Forgive me if this has been already answered, but do you guys have any plans to set up your own official mining pool? I've mined some XMCC at mining-dutch and it's ok, but I think your project could definitely benefit from having a properly dedicated pool provided by the devs.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Can someone explain to me how this is a scam? I see a working network and crypto. Where does the scam part come in? Did they steal private keys or something? Even if they premined 90% of the coins how is that scamming you? I thought in a scam there was a victim who loses money TO the scammer. Some of you idiots have just lost money to the free market and have no sense of responsibility for your own dumbass actions! “But I trusted the team”...You don’t know them at all so stop trusting in these coins ffs and then crying when it doesn’t hit the moon. It’s been less than 2 months for crying out loud!
I've put a fair amount of thought into this project (and some mining power) and I agree, I don't think we can call it a scam as such, but we can call it a "sham". Why? Because this team has hijacked the SegWit2X name and attempted to profit from it. This is why HitBTC is trading different to Exrate prices, because HitBTC have been trading futures on the SegWit2X team involved in the New York conference. This SegWit2X team has literally NOTHING to do with the other SegWit2X team, hence a large amount of suspicion, confusion, different prices etc etc. If only they'd called it another name, hey why not call it B4X?? why not Mickey-Mouse coin? why not Take-Me-To-The-Moon coin, who cares?? Call it anything, but don't associate with the SegWit2X name. Seriously, don't hijack another team's name and not expect to be doubted as to your credentials. Calling it SegWit2X was a grave error, and expecting the wider crypto community to get on board with it is..optimistic at best, however you spin it.

i don't get his. on the exchanges it says the coin is worth $110
If you click on HitBTC B2X links on coinmarketcap, you will get 404ed. YoBit are internal trading only, you can't deposit fresh B2X onto it or indeed withdraw (I don't have any B2X on YoBit so can't confirm that you can't withdraw B2X, but I understand that is the case). The only exchange you can properly trade B2X on is Exrates, so yes the real price is $17.40 at time of writing.

Development team could have just named this fork another name and avoid all these scandals behind the project except of course if they really are into it for the scam. As it is right now, the coin is almost dead and in the point where it feels like it cannot be revived anymore. Dev, if you are really not trying to scam people with this project, you can do a total overhaul of the project and come out clean that it is not in anyway related to the original Segwit2X.
I couldn't agree more with kalunomics on this point. I think the Devs must realize that this coin will die if it continues to be in anyway associated with the name "SegWit2X". There is no way the bigger exchanges will ever trade this coin under the name SegWit2X. I did some mining on the official pool and it is very efficient, so there is obviously some tech expertise in their team somewhere. All this assuming that it isn't just a get rich scheme, which, at best, we could say the jury is out on at this time. In my opinion, everyday the Devs continue to be associated with a name which, let's be honest, you've basically hijacked from another team, is another day where you will just go down as another bunch of scammers on the internet.
