1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is ETH very cheap now? on: April 04, 2018, 05:27:39 PM
Just waiting for it to go down further.  Not seeing an end yet in this correction since Mt Gox trustee still unloading their BTC stock thus affecting every other crypto.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin downtrend is limited. Here's why. on: April 04, 2018, 05:25:53 PM
I come to think that we can't fall massively below 5,000 dollars per BTC - if ever - unless some major whale - of the Mt. Gox trustee's scale - decides to cash out. I base my assumption on the premise that people who bought coins at high prices like over $12-$15k won't be selling at prices below some psychological limit because selling at such prices will be pointless and their only viable option will be to continue holding. So it is not just about demand building up, it is also as much about supply running dry at lower prices. That could potentially lead to less volatility, at least temporarily until a new long-term trend gets established.

Many people have bought BTC when it was in the ATH prices. Seems txns volume is still low compared to Dec highs. Everyone just weathering this correction out. Good opportunity to buy now since it is way lower than the 10K mark.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: April 04, 2018, 05:22:47 PM
It is not likely that anything else will replace BTC,  not LTC nor ripple nor ethereum.

The argument of digital gold for bitcoin as store of value is strong.  If lightening network works out as planned, bitcoin might kill other altcoins as payment of choice.
if it does not,  bitcoin is still the digital gold as it is now.  Nothing is guaranteed, but usually the top dog is less risky on the long term,

Will second that. BTC should still be unreplaceable since it was the first mover and people associate the crypto space mostly with BTC.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can you still get rich with crypto? on: April 04, 2018, 03:30:42 PM
Have made it to being somewhat rich last year and this Feb until now has been a nightmare of some sorts. My portfolio dived by around 75% and the recovery will surely be a long road. Still I believe in a future with cryptos and will keep HODLing.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it a good idea or not? on: April 04, 2018, 03:29:12 PM
I know the price of all crypto currencies are now started to recover,so I just want to convert my portion of bitcoins into Ethereum, because I hope ethereum will have better growth rate when compare to bitcoin.

So what you are thinking guys is it good idea or better hold as bitcoin.

Historically, I think BTC if successful will always outperform ETH in the short term. ETH though have the long term potential to beat BTC when all improvements are made.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End of the correction? on: April 04, 2018, 03:25:52 PM
Seems to be going down again this time. Bubble has bursted people. Still waiting for the bottom and then buy again.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are you surprised at the price of ETH? on: April 04, 2018, 03:24:15 PM
Not really. Craziness last year was too much wherein everything was going ballistic. Prefer that everything just smooths itself. There is still a lot of improvements to  be made so value should match.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: OnePlus to have their own digital currency on: April 02, 2018, 06:26:00 PM
Are there some white paper behind it? Seems a marketing ploy to gain more customers since OnePlus is targeting mostly tech-savvy people.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most crypto millionaires forgot that they had crypto! on: April 02, 2018, 06:22:03 PM
Everyone should just keep HODLing until BTC hits 100K.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: Be patient and calm yourself on: April 02, 2018, 03:32:27 PM
The current valuation I think is the correct one as there is still a lot of improvements to be made in the crypto space and the December values are just crazy. Still will hold on and wait for the next big wave.
I suggest have a long term view on this values as blockchains are just getting starting to be accepted in the mainstream.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin below $50 on: March 30, 2018, 03:43:11 PM
Should we expect around 1K soon?  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
12  Other / Meta / Re: Merit is so unfair on: March 22, 2018, 04:20:52 PM
Isn't it so unfair for the people who is new here? That will be struggling making such as good quality post so they could be given a merit by someone. I know all of you is having a hard time thinking what are you going to post such as good quality.

It is really hard to have a merit it is because as far as I know:
People are selfish. Even though you post a really good quality post still there is a people who won't give you a merit.
Some are alone. Like me, I don't really have much friend who would give me a free merit. I know that it is easy to have a merit with a friend that have an account of bitcointalk.

My question is. Why still need merit? We are still struggling to rank because of the merit.

I think the idea of merit is to be more collaborative with each other. Since members here are mostly anons there is no sense of cohesion sometimes in discussing ideas. Merits do push people to be more objective and provide excellent posts instead of mindlessly posting in the forums with no regard for everyone. Most comments are just replying with no cohesive ideas behind them. I think admins are sending the message that members should be more critical of the posts that are being posted and if you just joined to level up your profile then you do not deserve the rank.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you believe is needed for crypto currencies to be mass adopted? on: March 21, 2018, 06:59:52 PM
What is needed is more regulation, too much scam, pump and dump schemes, unrealistic promises. Once regulations are in place that will protect investors, cryptos will be much more mainstream.
The downside of this is fewer returns.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After 3 months, what do you have? on: March 21, 2018, 06:57:04 PM
My investment was around 2K USD three months ago, peaked around 18K and now is down at 5.5K. Lots of lessons learned but still doubled my money's worth and I'm happy I earned and learned something.
Aiming to reach 20K this year. Hopefully, have placed my bets right.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good News!! Coin value is increasing again!! on: March 21, 2018, 04:10:10 PM
Time for the bull market run to happen. Lets see if its going to be above 10K mark again.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep these things in mind when you are into crypto world on: March 21, 2018, 04:07:40 PM
Hello everyone,

I am in crypto world from August 2017 and learn a lot and still have to learn a lot.

Let me share few things with you which are very important.

How to find weather ICO is scam or not

There are few things which we can check to avoid scams.

1. Do check their whitepaper , if you don't have any technical knowledge then you can take help from google to comes to know about project reviews because there are many website who review about ICO's
2. Do check their Team members, try to find their social accounts and do some background about them and their past experience.
3. Check out their Roadmap, check out discussion of projects on bitcointalk, reddit, telegram and other social channels.
4. Check their partnership details. Try to contact their partners to confirm it.

As once you select that you want to participate in ICO, then what you have to keep in mind.
1. No one from team member will contact you personally through telegram or other channels to contribute to you. Only ways of contribution are either through their website or that is mentioned on their website.
2. There are many fake admin profiles on telegram , they will personally message you and will give you contribution address to send ETH/BTC or whatever. Don't listen to them and ban them immediately.
3. Only trust official websites, Admin and team member.
4. you will get email from hackers , don't open them.
5. use 2fa and other securities to your accounts on exchanges.

Recently i get email from fake cryptopia exchange team that someone is trying to access my account. I click on that link and found that it was almost similar to real cryptopia link. So avoid these types of email.

If you have any question or need any help, leave your post below. I will try my best to help all of you.

Thank you and all the best.

Good post. It will surely help those that are new to cryptos a lot. Thanks!
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Try to recover loss on: March 21, 2018, 04:05:59 PM
Previous few month we see all altcoin price is decrease. So at this time how I recover my loss.I decided one think,I want to sell my all altcoin now.And try to start trade and recovery again. It's possible? Can I do this.Tell me your opinion, can do or not?

Do not be disheartened and sell at a loss, based from experience just wait for your some of your coins portfolio to go up, probably sell them at break even or minimum profit. Patience is the key when playing the crypto markets.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the crypto market recover? on: March 21, 2018, 04:03:57 PM
There has been some good news from G20 around regulations. Should be better this April, going to buy more now.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My picks for 2018 on: March 21, 2018, 04:02:55 PM
Picks will be:

1. NEO - picking up steam and will probably challenge ETH this year.
2. XLM - good for microtransactions and can also be a platform for fund generation (ICO).
3. ADA - still waiting for the promised features that is better than ETH.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Really The Future Of Money? on: March 21, 2018, 04:00:16 PM
BTC could be the future of money. Once Lightning Network goes online, and the problem with scaling be fixed, would surely have more volume than today.
The problem still is that it is hard for people to get the idea that they are responsible for their money. Most newbie in cryptos lose their money through negligence and there is no recourse when dealing with cryptos.
