From the redirect of CryptoAve.com

Quote
Hello,

CryptoAve has been targeted heavily by hackers since launch. The security has withstood all the attacks and all of the users' funds are secure.

I will be taking down the website to recode all of the PHP parts as I don't feel confident in the security of the language for an exchange environment. I've also come to the realization that there are many more hackers and thieves in the exchange industry than I expected. Additionally, hackers are targeting crypto users in general, leaving CryptoAve and myself liable for situations out of my control.

I will be shutting down CryptoAve until all the PHP has been recoded and the website fortified.

Please withdraw all your funds. The exchange will not be keeping any funds during the downtime period.

You can withdraw your funds by sending an email to admin[at]cryptoave.com from your registered CryptoAve account email. You need to include:
-Username
-PIN
-Email
-Security Question
-Security Answer
-Birth Date
-Addresses for DGC/BTC/ARG/SRC/LTC/PPC balance

Thank you for using CryptoAve and sorry for any inconvenience.

Regards,
Baritus

So I started digging into the hack attempts of CryptoAve since I was asked if I was behind them and the answer is no, I am not.

Anyone who knows of me knows you never to ask, I will post it. But anyway I did some looking on some forums I am member of and I did find some mention of it. It appears CryptoAve has been compromised from day 1 and so have the email servers, I found the Google verification posted google-site-verification=MAlFo4_er_wKZA1n_SvS5lpd7gj6swXIYZxef2Bdr9w which means any email you send with above info like name, birth date, email, pin, address, etc..... will most definitely fall into the wrong hands.

Seriously, I would love to see the mathematical equation that solves for sending a guy that can't even secure his own personal wallet your very sensitive information and to a site that he has posted that has been compromised.

Really?

I know I sometimes get on people's nerves, but am I wrong here?

~BCX~

I would like to have you verify this information by providing where you got it. Until then, this is just smoke out of your asshole.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [DGC/ARG/CSC/+++] Cryptowheel.net: Dice, Wheel, RPS on: February 08, 2014, 11:39:09 PM
Cryptowheel.net

This is the best selection of gambling games available for the currencies you've mined or come across! On the main page you can choose to play multiple different kinds of games for multiple currencies (DGC, USDe, ARG, GPL, Coino, CSC). All of the games are "provably fair" which means that all the rolls, spins or whatever kind of mechanic that's being used can be completely proven to be fair for the user. None of our games have an unfair advantage for "the house" meaning you can win at anything you play!

There is a special promotion right now: Deposit 10DGC and turn it into 100 on either dice or the wheel, and get MATCHED for 100DGC. I actually just did this today and it is not terribly hard to do!

Server is super fast and bets go through at lightning speed! (I am currently placing bets at over 2 per second). There is also no required registration with unique URLs in case you want to jump into play right away.

Note: RPS is still DGC only and in beta.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC = $500 in February on: February 06, 2014, 03:18:44 PM
With the way things are going at MtGox, I could see a large drop like that to occur. If they close down/stop trading I feel like the instability may cause a panic sell for a bit.

It'll bounce back quick though, so whatever.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scan.co.uk now accepting bitcoin, great news on: February 06, 2014, 03:13:02 PM
What is really awesome is that they are offering also fully built scrypt miners at pretty reasonable prices even with VAT:

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][OGC]Pre-Launch *OnlineGamingCoin* Crypto designed for Online Gaming \o/ on: December 31, 2013, 11:51:51 PM
the pool is working fine, if you have issues with http://ogc.idcray.com/ please try http://211.149.188.67/ as it might only be a DNS issue

The coin is not lunch yet, be patient... mining will start randomly between 0:00 and 0:30 to avoid DDoS by morons with bots.

IP is not working either :s

19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is CoinChat down? And does anyone know any other good chat sites? on: November 01, 2013, 11:56:02 PM
http://www.coinpr0n.com

Name is rather misleading, as there really isn't that much sexualized content these days. However it does have a reward based system and is platformed on IRC.
