How can you gaurantee that all the 'votes' from the community will be legitimate votes and that none of them will be 'bought' votes or just made up accounts from one ICO's pool of resources?

First of all, you will soon be able to see who upvotes what, so users will have full transparency on the upvotes. More importantly though, there is significance to the "reputation" a user has when it comes to promoting content, so 1000 upvotes from "new" users has less weight than 100 users whom have earned reputation on the platform. Not to mention, in-order to sign up you have to verify your email/device, making it a bit of a hassle for intruders to abuse.

I do agree thought that this is an issue with many other platforms like reddit, which is why I am focussing deeply on the integrity and transparency of the platform!

the problem is that.

all attempts to promote "quality" projects are in the end nothing more, than attempts of finding some rich people that already having a lot of ressources looking for money earning cattle, and then pumping them, which is ridiculous, why do decentralisation then in the first place?

if you want "quality" why dont you just go to the federal reserve and their "ripple" scam, they have a "quality" project they funded countless manhours to develop their project, and bribed countless people indexes exchanges and media to get attention.

there you have a "quality" project.

regards.

The idea behind Cryptonomy is that the community as a whole can have their say on what they deem worthy or not. User's who constantly contribute quality content increase their reputation, which in change adds more significance to their votes. There isn't a perfect system yet, but I believe this is a much more effective way than anything else that is currently available, and I'm constantly working on making it better!

We are all here because we believe in the promise of decentralization, the freedom of information, and importance (or lack there of) of trust.

With all this potential, the crypto world is still full of noise, fraud, scams, manipulation - all extremely damaging its reputation and hurting progress along the way.

I've spent the last 11 months working on finding a solution, a way to help promote quality projects, while demoting and flagging those who are shams or guaranteed to under deliver.

That is why I created *Cryptonomy*, a community-based social network for crypto-enthusiasts. By using a combination of crowd-sourcing and reputation-based curation, I have engineered a platform that positions quality and authentic content at the center. Cryptonomy is a place to discover, deliberate and engage about various topics in the blockchain and crypto world, all in efforts of building a healthy ecosystem which can let true work thrive.

I've built a whole array of features, from portfolio tracking to direct messaging, community management to a robust feed with news, forum posts, reviews, etc.

Here is a link to download it: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cryptonomy/id1263028655?mt=8

My handle on there is @royth. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback. Let's make crypto great again!

Below are screenshots:

**Please leave your feedback - My goal is to build the best platform available for crypto-enthusiasts.**

Its finished?

I don't think a product can ever really be "finished", but I'd say its in a good spot for the first version! I just added a new post about it too Smiley

Ha awesome - Thanks so much! Would you be able to link me to those groups so I can see and respond to any questions?

8  Bitcoin / Project Development / 100,000 lines of code and 6 months later...ITS READY on: January 28, 2018, 10:27:24 PM
No journey worth taking is easy.

6 months ago I decided to embark on a journey - one that I knew could be just as devastating as it could rewarding.

So here I am, 180 days, 2 native apps, and 100,000 lines of code later, glad to introduce to you, Cryptonomy.

Cryptonomy is a complete community-based ecosystem for crypto-enthusiasts that includes portfolio tracking, news aggregation, real-time forum (stack-overflow style), live chats, ICO listings, educational material, and more. Its a "one-stop-shop" where you can get all of the information that you need, at the tip of your fingers, delivered in a simplistic and convenient way.

Here's a little short nifty "preview video" of the app - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYdyEsT7CMg

My vision is to connect all of us that really believe in blockchain and in true freedom of information, as well as provide a platform that helps this technology flourish.

Please feel free to comments and feedback - I take everything into consideration in hopes of building the best product of it's kind!

Here are direct download links to the app:

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cryptonomy.piiymlabs.cryptonomy
iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cryptonomy/id1263028655?mt=8

Thank you so much for the love & support!

P.S.
I also wrote a more lengthy post on steemit detailing my journey, if anyone is interested!

Cool application and great idea, i love the theme and how beautifully you sorted the tabs. Especially the news and academy sections are really helpful to learn more about the coins. Hope so you will add more coins over it and make it more better. Thumbs up keep doing the good work and wish you best of luck.

Thanks Malik! I'm about to release some really awesome additions this week (starting with iOS). I'll make sure to update the post once I do

why dont we just for a big group of cryptoeconomics, similar like current corporations? there is a thread nearby

What do you mean?

there was an m missing

Still don't think I understand what you are trying to say.. can you rephrase please Smiley

joining many small projects into one huge project (something like the new market)

ahhh ok finally got you! do you have a link to the thread you mentioned?

there are many in this forum many small projects, we have to merge them into a big one.

Why would good app developers want to do this though? What benefit do the application developers have for combining their application with others? Good application developers will likely have stronger products than the weaker developers so they have no incentive to partnering with worse products. Also, what if one of the products is a scam? Then it makes the entire group of projects look bad. I would never partner with a bunch of random strangers online who I don't know if I can trust.

I agree - there have been a lot of people who want to help out and collaborate. At the moment its still pretty much me building the whole platform and finding the right people to help is a lot of work which must be done carefully.

Does anyone know if a Initial Coin Offering (ICO) API exists anywhere? Did a bit of searching and couldn't find anything!

Thanks

Hi !

I recently launched a telegram that aims to convey a concentrate of information forward first on those local (France) and your application would seem promising if it meets its objectives.
Would you agree to keep me up-to-date and on-going so I can promote it?

If it works as good as it looks you've got yourself a keeper. I really like how you used a dark theme and lined out logo's etc. Looks very appealing to the eye. I would test the app if I had an ios device, which I don't. Are you planning on releasing something for android too in the near future? Did you do this by yourself?

Thanks for the feedback! Android is in the works, but as I am currently working on it all myself (a few different people/organizations have approached me about investing/partnering, but for now still solo on it), it might take me a few weeks. Will update you once its live!
20  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cryptonomy on: October 08, 2017, 11:44:58 PM
Very nice app! The ads at the bottom are a bit irritating but I guess a mans got to make his money someway or another  Grin
Regardless, the app is pretty cool. The overall design and layout is slick and I really like the news section (especially being able to tag articles as positive or negative).
The beginners/learning area is nice too. Congrats on the release OP!

Thanks for the kind words!
