     Year 1 ---> 2.5%
     Year 2 ---> 1.25%
     Year 3 ---> 0.63%
     Year 4 ---> 0.31%
     Year 5 ---> 0.016%
     Year 6 ---> 0.008%
     Year 7 ---> 0.004%
     Year 8 ---> 0.002% and ongoing

A few thoughts. Block rewards would most likely go to those whom host on the cloud? In the case of Bitcoin, Satoshi knew that manufacturers would eventually develop specialized hardware to compete against others and try to garner as much coin as possible. It started out as using idle CPU time and then became increasingly more difficult for the 'little guy' to compete. Satoshi even advocated in delaying the 'arms race' as much as possible.

You can still use the old one for now, until the fork occurs. It is recommended though that you switch over to the new one.

Wouldn't a variety be best? Both ASCI and GPUs.

What if you've got a lot of capital to invest into mining. Let's say.. thousands. Would you go down the route of buying ASCI in bulk or GPUs? That, on top of investing, of course.

I've been following cryptos for quite some time now and am thinking about setting up a farm.

Basic information:
My electrical is 0.06c/kWh and am able to invest around ~100K (possibly more depending on how it goes).

Question:
What hardware should I get? Is it still worth going for the Antminer S9 for BTC or is it simply easier and more profitable in terms of ROI + long-term if I go for Altcoins?
