2  Local / Mining Discussion (Ελληνικά) / How to increase hashrates for nvidia cards? on: October 25, 2017, 11:21:54 AM
hii,
If I keep the overclock at 500Mhz on the memory, is there any other way to increase hashrates?I am using Nvidia drivers 385.69 and also the latest Claymore (version 10). I am getting about 28.4 Mhs on 1070s and on my 1060 getting 21.2mhsI will probably try new drivers and nvidia optimised miner anyway just to see if I can tweak it. A good card to buy though for sure especially EVGA from amazon the golden package when it comes to customer support .

Thanks!

3  Economy / Economics / How can profits decrease if revenue increases? on: October 24, 2017, 10:27:22 AM
hii,
If you increase the price of the good that you are selling, your total revenue increases, but your total profit decreases. Supposing that your demand has not changed, what do these two facts imply for price elasticity of demand and your cost structure?

I understand that the product is clearly price inelastic - as demand is not changed when the price is increased. But what I'm struggling with is how the costs must have increased but the question does not mention any change in supply or other factors that could influence the production cost?

Thanks!

4  Local / Mining Discussion (Ελληνικά) / Is this a good Cloud mining Contract? on: October 23, 2017, 06:06:30 AM
hii,
Was approached by a client who currently has cloud contract with Genesis. He pays $5 USD/ MHhe offered me $5k in return for 1.1GH Contract.. Wants a 4 year contract. That comes to $4.54 per MH and with a 4 year commitment . Also no maintenance fees.Seems like a great deal on paper, when I compare with other mining contracts I find online. He is a buddy of mine and I dont wanna screw him. So Im asking yall (whom I know to be very critical of Cloud mining as a group). He doesnt want to buy and hold, and doesnt want to work on mining himself. This cash will otherwise sit in a bank account @ 1% annual interest. So he is committed to Cloud mining vs other options.

Thanks!

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Will Mining CryptoCurrency on Porn Tube Sites be the Way of the Future? on: October 13, 2017, 08:32:57 AM
Let’s face it, today’s internet users are adept at ignoring ads of any kind on websites. Adblock and other ad blockers which can even block annoying YouTube video ads are gaining popularity. Naturally, because of this, ad revenues are lost, leaving web publishers without recourse.

A couple weeks ago, The Pirate Bay began using an in-browser Monero cryptocurrency (similar to Bitcoin, but with a focus on anonymity) miner which uses JavaScript running in the background, unbeknownst to the user. Many users said they prefer mining in the background rather than viewing ads which can often lead to websites containing viruses, malware and even ransomware.
