1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin declined 3% as the coronavirus spread in italy on: February 25, 2020, 09:50:49 AM

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-traditional-markets-drop-3-as-coronavirus-spreads-in-italy

As the coronavirus spread in Italy recently, bitcoin market has dropped 3% and also the traditional market including all the top ranked cryptocurrencies. Can coronavirus spreading be the cause?

This is a possible reason for the fall of the market, but I think that the reason is not only one. Some people may have sold their assets for self-saving against coronovirus, but I won’t believe that it’s as much as 3%
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If google has its own crypto currency? on: February 14, 2020, 05:14:27 PM
Hi, I have a question if Google will have its own digital currency?it will beast bitcoin or not?

I think that it will beat Bitcoin easily! Because Google controls the whole world of the Internet! And it is very famous among the people all over the world. It can market its currency easily.
This is my opinion! What is yours?

Google does not have its own cryptocurrency, only payment methods. I doubt the company will want to deal with this
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and cryptocurrency mining virus on: February 14, 2020, 05:09:37 PM
step 0 is prevention:
- never download or install shady binaries that you don't know the source of and don't trust.
- always make sure you have real software by verifying their digital signature if possible
- if you have to run a shady application then use a sandbox so that in case it contained anything malicious it wouldn't infect your computer.
- never visit shady website
- and as the last line of defense if you are on a closed source OS such as Windows or Mac you can install a good anti virus.

if you are already infected
best solution would be formatting the hard disk and reinstalling the OS but since that is hard you can install a good anti virus or use a rescue disk to scan and try to remove it.
detecting this type of malware is easy since they have to use excessive amount of computing power so the symptoms are obviously increased CPU or GPU usage, hearing the fan sound (if your fan speed is adjusted according to usage),...

How do you think, would it better to buy a clean new processor to skip many steps and start mining using a new PC or make a cleaning?
4  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OWNR wallet. Buy, exchange and store crypto. Licensed service. on: February 11, 2020, 09:33:12 AM
Hi! Are Bitfinex and OWNR wallet different companies, or Bitfinex is a creator and owner of OWNR?
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $39 Million Worth of BTC Will Be Auctioned Off by US Government on: February 11, 2020, 09:17:40 AM
The united State Government is about to release $39m bitcoin worth for auction to individual who win the bid. According to the news; these bitcoin  were the ones seized from cryptocurrencies scammers around the industry and with those who were indicated of fraud. Here is my concern:

What you don't like, you don't need to eat.

Another concern; will this going to bring down the current bullish of Bitcoin if executed?

I would suggest that, they redistribute this Bitcoin to the community or to help the less privilege. This can also be use to support China against the fight of CoronaVirus.

“The USMS will notify the winning bidder(s) via email with instructions for the next step to complete their transaction the same day as the auction, even after 5:00 PM EST. The winning bidder must send the purchase price funds (less the deposit amount) by a wire transfer originating from a bank located within the United States and provide a wire transmittal receipt to the USMS by 2:00 PM EST, on Wednesday, February 19, 2020.”

Full article is here!

I doubt that this will greatly affect the market. These Bitcoins will go into circulation, I doubt that the new owner will want to sell them all at once. By the way, I wonder why the government decided to sell these coins, if they could be spent on supporting China in the fight against coronavirus? As for me, it is a too greedy business
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright claims , today will be the last day for Bitcoins. on: January 26, 2020, 01:02:07 PM
I don'y believe anything he says.  He is a proven liar so he has to show us he has the keys to the wallets by moving the coins or there is no reason to believe him.
That was the only way he could prove he was Satoshi Nakamoto, and I read the article a few days ago about this. His lawyer confirmed that Craig Wright does not own any private keys. So I'm 100% sure he's a liar and what he said about Bitcoin is completely false. I also never believed in anything from him.
It is really hard to believe that Craig Wright is really Satoshi Nakamoto because he made a lot of false evidences in the court, that is why he is really a liar and he just wanted to get the fame. I think the real Satoshi would not show his true identity because he might be afraid from what the government will do to him.

Craig Wright is suitable to be the host of a reality show. He knows how to make a hype. But other than, he’s just a liar who wants to be a big boss
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Held a bitcoin seminar today on: January 26, 2020, 12:52:20 PM
It hasn't been easy for me lately because I'm a student. However, I find time to make a way for bitcoin promotion. Today, after classes, tho the place wasn't excessive convenient, Me and my friend held a seminar in which we talked to about 10 or more people about bitcoin. We also elaborated to them about the disadvantages and advantages involved in crypto.
Also, a WhatsApp group was created so as To Help them with anything that seems confusing. Of course, they already have their wallets installed! ♥

Lol.... My head was aching before and after the seminar. However, we had to hold it!
At least with this example, others (including you) would do their best to promote bitcoin and the blockchain technology.

Actually I'm not in the image; privacy reasons

Thanks to enthusiasts like you, Bitcoin is promoting among people. I believe that you should enlist the support of the community and make more seminars. Maybe start twitter account and share your ideas and it will help you in the future to have support and get advices from like-minded people
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Monday Is the Best Day to Buy Bitcoin? on: January 20, 2020, 08:07:24 PM
Maybe this is a coincidence. I think Monday is not a constant day when everyone must buy Bitcoin. The coin is too volatile and the price can make a turn at any time. I trust the actual indicators of the chart more, its better checking the price throughout the day to successfully buy and sell
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the most cheapest bitcoin miner in the Philippines? on: January 20, 2020, 08:00:48 PM
Hey guys, I am new to bitcoin, And i want to cloud mine even though most people say that mining is not viable, but i really want to mine.

If you have any suggestions for cheap miners, please reply or PM me.

Cloud mining is now not viable as for me. Are you sure you want to try it? If we are talking about physical mining it is very expensive, I’m sure that you are unlikely getting the desired result.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme, then fiat is a get poor slow scheme on: December 31, 2019, 11:00:50 AM
Comparing fiat with bitcoin will never run out. In my opinion a discussion that never ends, in the future it is probable that cryptocurrency
will replace fiat. But it's definitely not bitcoin that will be a substitute for fiat, but rather crypto which will be made by each country.
Because the government requires centralized cryptocurrency, which has a price stable and also can be controlled. Different from bitcoin
that cannot be controlled and the price is volatility. And I disagree with the title on top of bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme, the reality of
getting rich with bitcoin cannot be fast and instant. Instead it has to go through a long process and requires hard work.

I am always amused that every country wants its own national cryptocurrency. However, what profit does this have for people? If Bitcoin consists of the idea of anonymity, decentralization and protection from third parties, then the national cryptocurrency does not. What a sense? This is an endless war of people and government
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You should burst this MYTH on: December 31, 2019, 10:51:01 AM
I often hear people quoting that some country (most of the times China) is positive towards blockchain and are thinking to using it in their country, so they are also  positive towards Bitcoin.

This is just a myth. To be honest Bitcoin and Blockchain are separable. Blockchain can sustain without crypto but crypto cannot without blockchain.

In recent times Bitcoin moved from 7k range to more than 10k may be with the news of China president talking about blockchain. Then people were saying that China is positive towards crypto but things were not that good. And now things are on the same page again.

So burst this myth that where blockchain is Bitcoin will also be there.

Many people directly associate Blockchain with Bitcoin, so it is not surprising that after the news of China's acceptance of Blockchain, the price of Bitcoin began to grow rapidly. Unfortunately, China is determined to create its own cryptocurrency and develop Blockchain in the country, and not to accept Bitcoin, because if Bitcoin is accepted, China will lose a large piece of power, which is not beneficial for such a powerful country
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now YouTube is flagging Bitcoin and crypto-related videos? on: December 24, 2019, 12:57:23 PM
Perhaps you need to see how YouTube will act a week after these events. I think it was a mistake to delete a video about crypto. On the contrary, the crypto community is growing every year more and more, which means an influx of new users to crypto content. Blocking such content will mean losing a large audience.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Banks Went from Dismissing Bitcoin, to Seeing it as a Revolution on: December 24, 2019, 12:53:48 PM
Banks are in no way fearing bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. It's a thought that exists in crypto community only. XRP is not a CC but a centralized digital currency. Banks along with other financial institutes will never adopt decentralized cryptocurrency like bitcoin rather they will only adopt currencies  like xrp.

On this way they could possible have their duties accomplished because believe me or not, even banks that has a very promising plan for their people will have a hard time to implement projects if they couldn't utilize taxes from the people. Whereas, the possibility of unifying banks/government and cryptocurrency could be achieve through the cryptocurrencies like XRP. Though, it is not our dream that banks could interfere with the cryptocurrency, there is currently no way of making the entire country great without funds intended only for the development of it.

I think that XRP is not the best way to connect banks, government and people. People need decentralization, and if banks use crypto, this is no longer possible.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who holds the most bitcoins? on: December 24, 2019, 12:51:23 PM
Me.  I own the most bitcoins.  Prove me wrong?
Nice joke. It is probably wrong. You will be quite busy to trade your Bitcoin if you have the most. I've checked your post history, your current posts were not in economics or trading discussion, so it means you are not monitoring the market trends. This makes me doubt that you are one of the people holding the most Bitcoin.

However, I think your intention is to make us aware that no one knows who is holding the most Bitcoins. Am I wrong?   Smiley

Wake up! You're probably out of your mind. How can you earn the most bitcoin? Can you tell us how? So that we can believe in you. You're a joker. You just want to test if we know who have the most bitcoins. Now, we can't tell who has the most.

It is impossible for you to have the most because your post aren't related to the topic about bitcoin. I checked your profile.

Don't take monkey fuss so seriously. They simply decided to test the patience of the community, made such a stupid conversation. I’m sure that people with the largest amount of Bitcoin do not express themselves in this way.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Experience of A Bitcoin User on: December 19, 2019, 11:19:06 AM
Cyber defense is not only about spending more and more money on security hardware rather it's about updating our attitude toward technology. Such attacks shouldn't have popped up if we have adopted the attitude of double checking the address ourselves rather than blindly trusting the technology.

Often people are too lazy to do extra actions. That is why such a scam steals a lot of money. Lazy users who blindly trust technology are guilted
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You selling to buy Xmas gifts or using bitcoins to buy Xmas gifts? on: December 19, 2019, 11:13:19 AM
So, watching the price of Bitcoin going down, made me think of reasons why this might be happening now.  Roll Eyes  I saw the news of the Chinese

scam and the coins being liquidated, but that sounds like a lame excuse for the price going down. A better reason might be that people are selling

coins or using coins to buy Xmas gifts. Let's be honest, it is that time of the year and people are going on holiday, so they need to dive into their

Bitcoin hoard to pay for that and also some Xmas gifts.  Huh

Are you using your coins to buy Xmas gifts and to pay for your holiday expenses?

Many people sell coins for this very reason. Christmas holidays require a lot of money to buy gifts, decorate the house, spend a vacation. Massive sales of Bitcoin lead to its decline, however, I am sure that the market situation will change in February when the holidays end
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright: "BTC is not Bitcoin" on: December 19, 2019, 11:08:05 AM
Craig Wright: "BTC is not Bitcoin"  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mItX9ku35U

The snake oil salesman is at it again. Pretending to be Satoshi again and saying everyone should not be running nodes and Bitcoin was not meant to

be anonymous.  Cheesy  Feel free to share your likes and dislikes on the video and please comments on this rubbish to expose the truth. I do not want

to give him more exposure, but I also do not want his rubbish going uncontested. (It is obvious that he is choosing interviewers who are clueless and

who would not challenge him on the bullshit he is spreading.)  Angry

Craig Wright is a toxic person who always trash talks. I always ignore the news and videos with his participation, because it always turns out to be a garbage
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Suisse tram in Zurich, Switzerland on: December 11, 2019, 05:30:51 PM
Do you know by any chance if it was just a local campaign or a national?

I'm pretty sure Zurich and Geneva are the 2 biggest cities in Switzerland anyway. Even if it's just Zurich, that's pretty good exposure, there must be 10's of millions of tourists and other foreigners passing through Zurich every year, many of whom using the trams.

I agree with you. Its a fact that Switzerland welcomes not just tourists, but leaders, businessmen and influential people from all over the globe. Its pretty great because all these people may be interested in such advertising and this will promote bitcoin.

20  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why Crypto Exchanges Should Lower Their Fees and Profit Margins on: December 11, 2019, 05:01:48 PM
The crypto industry has yet to evolve from exchanges which are nothing more than digital banks in reality. A couple are taking bold moves to slash their fees but how many others will follow and how will it affect the wider crypto industry.

https://bitcoinist.com/why-crypto-exchanges-should-drop-their-fees-and-profit-margins/

Perhaps Poloniex is thus trying to get out of the bottom. The exchange has long been not popular because of its problems, which began when Circle bought this exchange. I think it is absolutely not profitable for any exchange to make a zero fee and this is an isolated case
