1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoinChoose - alternative site to show respective profitability of the alt coins on: May 23, 2013, 03:09:06 PM
Great job, I'm on the page all the time to check I'm still mining the right stuff.

I have also used the JSON API to incorporate the exchange rates and profitability into my Android Coin Mining Pool monitoring app for quick reference.  It's a free ad-supported app available from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tomfusion.coinpoolmonitor

Hi,
For those interested I've created a simple pool monitoring Android app to keep tabs on mining activities using the pool API. It's a free ad-supported app.  It supports adding multiple (supported) sites. It is currently limited to most of the cryptocoins sites with the generic simple API like the BigVern pools, including: LiteBonk.com, Mincoinpool.com, CHNPool.com, FCPool.com, WeMineLTC.com and I have recently added support for the Ozcoin API.

Download Coin Pool Monitor from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tomfusion.coinpoolmonitor

6  Other / Beginners & Help / [POLL] What do you think of the newbie restrictions? on: May 20, 2013, 06:00:57 AM
While I'm waiting for my mandatory 4 hours to pass I thought I'd put up a poll for all the newbies arriving here after trying to hit "Reply" and couldn't find the button. (Like me)  Tongue

From the NEWBIE README:
"Newbie Restrictions
You can only post in the Newbie and Local sub-forums till you have 5 posts and at least 4 hours on the forum.  The other two restrictions are you need 1 post to be able to send a PM and 10 posts to put a link in your sig."

Why not try an escrow service like exchange.dudeami - you send coins, they send coins and it's kept in excrow until both verified and then released to the buyer & seller.  Make sense? - search the forums for "DudeAmI's cryptocoin escrow" - I'd post a link, but I'm a Newbie  Embarrassed

400 BitCoineroos! Lucky man & welcome!
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have 5 posts now and 16hrs login time, why I am still a newbie on: May 20, 2013, 05:34:20 AM
I think 4 hours is reasonable and 5 posts is not too bad.  It's only bad when you really want to get something done NOW! Also making random replies is not really my style, but here I am.

Hi Marks, welcome fellow Oz newbie!
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Hi my name is DrWison & I'm a newbie on: May 20, 2013, 05:25:16 AM
Hi All,
I feel like it's the first day of high school again with the newbie restrictions. So this is my first post...

About me:  I have started mining LiteCoin not too long ago.  Since then I've been distracted by all the new alt coins popping up.  I'm not the forum post diarrhea type - even on the forums where I've been for years I battle to get to the 50 post mark.

Why I'm here: I've been reading these forums for a long time, but now I want to start trading coins that I have mined.  This is the biggest forum to get into contact with other traders.  Especially trading alt coins not on the major exchanges yet.  My first trade would be WDC for LTC and I plan to do all trades via escrow: exchange.dudeami is looking interesting and I'll give it a shot.

So there's my first post: 4 posts & 3.5 hours to go...
