Eh, what you're doing is right, but not for everyone. Just imagine that what you're describing as an easy task may be very stressful for some. Seeing it rising high enough that you're thinking "hey, I may be set for life", not selling and then seeing it drop low enough to think "did I miss my chance? I could have been set for life" may be a very stressful way to live for someone else. But good for you that you are able to do it.

Here's the truth: Most people will not buy at the absolute best price. There's not way to predict that. But seeing as this is a huge drop from Bitcoin's highest point, I'd say it's a good time to buy it. I've been telling people that this time has been coming and to hold off buying at high prices and I've been laughed at and ridiculed. One, two, three times, how many times do people need to see a pattern repeat itself to expect that it will happen again? And at almost regular intervals too! The point is, you may buy at 31k and see it drop at 28k. Big deal! Historically, after a big rally Bitcoin drops by a lot but usually not below the highest price that it had reached in the previous big rally (that was about 20k for last one, in the end of 2017).

Giving to the category of people like those that you mention in your post? No. Giving to people who are suffering and could really use some help, who have been down on their luck and you can clearly see that they are ashamed that they even need the help and will get up on their feet with the first chance they get? Yes, these people are worth helping.

I think this goes against some of the principles Bitcoin was built on (namely, anonymity). The best thing to do is, if someone is really afraid that their Bitcoins will be lost upon their death, that they should take it upon themselves to individually ensure that they won't be lost. A lot of people are already doing this.
If we were to look at this collectively, I don't think that losing Bitcoins hurts Bitcoin itself. It's value grows the more scarce it gets. But maybe people would be able to tell us more in about 50 years or so.

I did entertain the thought of living solely on crypto once, then I realized that I'd have to change countries to do it  It is almost impossible in some countries (and some of them make it impossible deliberately). I think we're a few years away from the kind of adoption that would enable us to live like that. |

I think that depending on the person, it would be a well-received gift. And people, males or females, know a bit about Bitcoin now (in an abstract sense, sure) so it's not like gifting it to someone back in 2017. There are references to Bitcoin in everyday life, so while that doesn't educate them (you're right in wanting to educate them about it), it's easier to convince them that it has value at least.

Yeah, I bet they would love to regulate and control everything which is why we shouldn't let them. Otherwise, what is the point of changing from fiat to cryptocurrencies in the first place if they are going to end up being roughly the same thing? Regulation advocates always use the "ties to crime" excuse but there are a lot more people who use crypto legitimately than people who use it to finance crime.

End anonymity? Isn't that kind of the point of having cryptocurrencies in the first place? And keep in mind, there are regulatory measures in place for cryptocurrencies. Anyway, I believe that cryptocurrency investments are not for everyone. If you don't like to take the risk, just get a bank investment like a lot of other people do. As far as Coinbase is concerned, if you don't like how that app operates especially and the security measures it uses, there are other apps out there. Maybe you should try something different.

I don't usually go looking to merit people who have merited me because they're mostly users who already have enough merits and have a high ranking in this forum. A user with the highest rank deserves the same amount of merits you would give a member who is ranked lower. His rank shouldn't be a deciding factor whether you will merit him or not. I have done the same thing many times before as well in the past. If given a choice to merit a user with a lower rank and one with a higher, I picked the one who is ranked lower. But I have changed that approach, and now I merit many Legendary accounts if I like their posts. And many times I do. The only factor I consider now is if the member I am going to merit participates in the merit distribution system or not. What I look for when I have merits to give is users who are low ranking members and I personally have read posts of these users that I would wish to merit. Nothing wrong with that unless you intentionally neglect and overlook the posts of higher ranked members. That way I believe that I can help promote members who write good posts. This statement can only be correct if you don't make distinctions between the users you wish to merit based on their rank. Yes, the difference here is that you are a high ranking member so you have more merits to give. I am a lower-ranking member with fewer merits to give so I choose to give the few merits I receive to lower-ranking members. Don't get me wrong, I wish I had more so I could give to high-ranking members too. I don't see how my choice to help users of lower ranks is bad. Maybe you can elaborate more on your point of view. Personally, I don't feel like a post loses value if someone doesn't merit it. However, it is the lower-ranking members who actually need those merits to rank up and gain distinction on the forum, not those who are higher. So, I operate based on that. |

I think it would be a while if someone wanted to just get money from the faucet. Now that it's 10 sats for every claim, anyway. You'd have to earn the transaction fee money first (even the low fee that will take a while is 7500 sats) and then start making whatever money you think you can get. The faucet is a nice incentive but at the end of the day, I think it's better to gamble those free sats and gain BFG tokens than spend 7500 sats minimum at withdrawing.
I don't think that there's money to be made with the faucet, even when it's giving extra. It's mainly for testing the cheapest games. You can't even afford of the more expensive slots with those. You would have to save a very long time. You can gain money if you're patient enough and the faucet feature remains there for months lol. Again, getting sats from the faucet and gambling them in a smart way to get BFG which would earn dividends is not a bad plan if you don't want to make a deposit. But whoever does this will have to understand that their earnings will be smaller than if they made a deposit and gambled with that. And while people are wasting time with the faucet, the price to mine 1 BFG token increases. So in the end, it's probably smarter to make a deposit. |

You must get in contact with the person who makes your taxes for you and ask them what you need to do. If that person doesn't know either, find yourself another because cryptocurrencies will be more and more common in our lives, and people who don't know about them and do that sort of job should be considered inefficient at their job.
You must seek the advice of an accountant especially if the legal frame concerning cryptocurrencies is not very clear in your country, which is true for a lot of countries right now.
In fact, in many countries, in particular the EU, there is already clear regulation on bitcoin and taxation. In my country, the tax office has already made and published an official opinion on how to report earnings from bitcoin and crypto. Accountants still know very little about it because they have not had such cases or clients. I know it from my own experience. That's good to hear and there should be clear rules to help citizens with their tax filings but as a resident of an EU country, my experience has been different. And Bitcoin is mostly unheard of when you ask accountants in my country. I've gotten more help from local telegram groups than accountants, which is not what I recommend by the way when someone is filing their taxes, but that's what happened. |

That's a nice story. It is truly a good feeling when you get someone in crypto especially during months where the market is going up lol. I've had the opportunity to do it a few times and it just so happened that it was the right moment for everyone involved. Although I do regret not being more convincing about it some of these times so some of them wish they could have invested a bit more right now But at the end of the day, as I say to everyone, it's their money, their responsibility, and their choice. |

Did someone try to withdraw ethereum from the Betfury platform? How long transaction take to confirm? They added a low fee(0.003) to withdraw eth, and I guess that it won't be enough for confirmation within a few minutes or hours if the gwei price rises to 500 or more again.
It was almost clear to me, that's why I play almost only with TRON... Already because of the extremely high transaction fees! With TRON 0 fees and coins within seconds on your own wallet. Tron is a great option but what if someone wins big by playing either with Bitcoins or Ethereum? I wonder, given how popular these two are right now, how difficult it would be to withdraw them, and how many fees that would take. Also, is there a way to convert earnings from one coin to the other within Betfury? Because that would help matters a lot. |
