2  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AMT users thread. on: November 07, 2014, 09:53:18 PM
Had anyone had any luck, suing, reporting, anything from law enforcement/lawyers??

I ordered two boxes and only got one delivered, never mind that i will never make my money back on the one that did got delivered.
From my perspective, they still owe me one box (or refund).

Wasn't there a class action lawsuit? any news?
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoint Accounting on: October 13, 2014, 08:41:05 PM
I've started using BTC for my daily purchases since Gyft started selling Wholefoods/Target cards for bitcoin. Tigerdirect for my computer needs. Etc,etc.

The drawback is that my Creditcard provided a nice usage report with graphs and all, I understand that they have also been selling my buying patterns to third parties but that is not the main point.

I've effectively lost that very convenient part of my daily purchases, is there any tool that could help me categorize (automatically or manually) my daily expenses, think quicken for BTC.

Any suggestions?
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Ninja Trader on: October 06, 2014, 03:25:42 PM
Does anyone uses ninja trader to graph bitcoin?
I would like to know your experiences, i've been trying to use bitconector without luck.
Does anyone know of another way to get real time data into ninja trader?
Would it makes sense to create one, anyone interested in buying the BTC data feeds for ninja trader?
I would like to find an existing data feed but if i can't find it i'll make one, i just want to know if this would be of interest to others.

These FANs are LOUD! so i changed for a these antec, the only ones i could find in my local BestBuy. The label say 2000RPM, not the best out there but the noise is down to 25dba. (compared to 60dba on the stock FANs.)

The noise has gone down but the temps are going up 60-70, vs 40-50 with the stock fans.

Anyone has any recommendation on not too slow but not too noisy FAN??

I understand that the lower the better but does anyone know the acceptable temp range of the Coincraft A1?

Update: As per amt_miner suggestion going with the BGears - B-blaster. Reviews coming in 2 days.

Got the BGears B-Blaster and have been working since yesterday at 50C-65C. which is a bit hotter, but tremendously less noisy.
My family is able to sleep again!!

I got it to work!!!
I reverted back to to original image (not the one from dropbox but the one that came with it, which i have no root access to)
And i changed ip,subnet,gw and dns to be opendns 208.67.222.222. Setup pool, and it works!!!
Hashing ####
Stats coming up....

Update: Hashing @1.2THS as promised (only 5 months later). if lucky i'l make 1.5BTC (not counting power cost). Boy, BTC needs to reach $4000 for me to make my USD back. Nevermind that i could have used the money and buy BTC and wait until it gets to $4000. Thanks AMT.

9  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: August 22, 2014, 11:12:14 PM
I received my miner yesterday after it was send out to my old address even though i updated it on my AMT account. DHL was able to get a hold of me to make the delivery.

First of all there box seemed like it has seen better days, it was all beaten up. No biggie it's just the box, right? Then i opened the box (unboxing video coming soon) and it has two rusty pieces of metal, WTF?!, below all that senseless metal i found the miner.

The rackmountable unit seems very well build although the paint is a bit rough. Hey, fortunately nobody will be looking at this thing on a daily basis.

Powered on, i couldn't get to it, apparently it comes with a presetted ip, no DHCP?? are we in the 80s?

I had to open the top of the box and unscrew the Raspberry PI in order to connect an HDMI to be able to see what is going on. IP was shown on boot-up messages.

Prior to this i asked amt_miner about the root password (my brother got his before i did and he hasn't got access to it yet). He provided root/pi as password, that didn't work.

So i decided to backup the current image and installed the one amt_miner sent me (same as posted in forum).

I removed the SD and image it to the one posted a few post back, and used the password root/admin, that worked! We are making progress..

Put SD back into PI, boot, logged in, setup correct ip,subnet, etc, tested pinging the world, all ok.

Http'ed into the local ip, and got a gui to setup my pool, username, password, GREAT!! Click start now, green light says running, GREAT!, not so fast, after a quick reload the light is back to red, STOPPED!.

Troubleshooted the code, added --verbose to the cgminer command and this is what i got on the cgminer.log:

root@raspberrypi:/var/www# cat ./cgminer.log

AMT,
Don't you think its been long enough since you last provided your customers a shipping timeline on your 1.2 TH miners? You mist have some notion on when you believe the units will truly be able to begin shipment?

Everyone knows our units have been shipping. Please stop instigating.

What order number are you at right now?
Is it really shipping?
I'm order 789 and 880 and i have not received anything yet.
Please provide more information on where are you at on shipping, you cannot claim your units have been shipping without a hard proof. Empty statements once again.

12  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: April 15, 2014, 01:36:17 PM
AMT, when i finally got an email replied from you guys, it was from JIM to tell me that my miners will ship that friday. That was two weeks ago.
No more news after that.

When are you ACTUALLY going to ship my miners or my refund? It is not a difficult question, all i need is a date and you to stick to it.

Order #879 and #880

THIS FORUM IS NOT A MEANS TO COMMUNICATE WITH AMT - CALL OR EMAIL US - WE'LL GET BACK TO YOU AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. WE PROMISE.

WE WILL LAUNCH A SUPPORT FORUM VIA OUR SITE THIS EVENING. QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED WITHIN 24 HOURS ON THAT FORUM. IF THE QUESTION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH OUR HARDWARE OR BUSINESS, WE'LL DELETE IT.

I've emailed them and no answer for three weeks now.

Why do they promise to launch an Forum on their site. and then not do it.

I hear you AMT people, that this forum seems like a lot of non-sense, but you are not making things any easier by piling on empty promises.

14  Local / Hardware y Minería / Re: Nuevo BFL on: March 04, 2014, 05:55:58 PM
15  Local / Hardware y Minería / Re: Repartir GHS entre distintos pools on: March 04, 2014, 02:01:17 AM
En CGminer puedes poner varios pools y hacer roundrobin.
En cuanto a minar en varios pools es lo que buscabas.
Lo unico que no puedes controlar el % de tiempo que quieres en cada pool.
16  Local / Hardware y Minería / Pool latinoamericano on: March 03, 2014, 11:27:12 PM

They are using 55nm asics.
Not going to turn a profit.
At least not at current BTC/USD prices.

I might be wrong. But i would've gone with newer 28 nm asics.

18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Profitability and CEX.io on: January 02, 2014, 07:23:58 PM
Not too long ago CEX was trading at 0.08 and it just went downhill in the last couple of weeks.
I was lucky to get out at 0.06 while the BTC created using their GHS vs the BTC lost due to decrease in price was still at a good ROI ratio.

The question is how long will it stay at 0.04 and if it will be enough time to make some BTC?

I'm going back into cex but with a very short trigger, because new and bigger mining gear should be delivered in Late JAN, therefore prices per GHS should drop significantly again in the immediate future. Then again, it might not.
19  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Sell bitcoin for Argentinian pesos on: September 17, 2013, 08:32:56 PM
I've received many answers about this, thanks for your support.

I have another question though:

Most of you, offered a bank transfer method, which i'm open to do, but it would be utilizing my bother-in-law bank account.
And knowing that the AR government is very strict these days, how is that you get over the justification of the bank transfer, from both sides of the transfer.

Is there a maximum "non taxable gift" amount that you could claim?
Or perhaps treat the money as a loan which is paid back in cash?

Thoughts?
