1  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: OFFICIAL CGMINER mining software thread for linux/win/osx/mips/arm/r-pi 4.6.1 on: October 05, 2014, 08:49:54 PM
I have been mining awhile using Bitminter and Antminer U2s. Now I am moving up to Rockminers which are not supported by the Bitminter software. I want to use cgminer, but am not sure how to set up the start.bat file. I have 2 Rockminer R-box 32Gh and 1 new R-box 100Gh, Can I use all three at the same time and how do I set the bat file. I am using Windows now but may switch to a Raspberry Pi. I may also add the Antminer U2s if that is possible. Any help will be appreciated!

Yes there was an error about wrong nonce. I did go into settings and disabled rescan and so far it has been running about 11 hours without stopping.

Thanks Doc!  Grin You're the greatest! After rebooting my computer and restarting the client, it did pick up the Antminer. Only problem now is that every 8-10 hours, I check and find everything stopped and the only error message is "Device already detected on ttyUSB0 - 7". Any suggestions? I plan on gradually replacing my Block erupters with Antiners.

Need help with Antminer U1. I am running Xubuntu 12.04 with block erupters now, but I am switching to Antminers. I need help installing the driver as I want to use the Bitminter client. I need help with the command line commands. I have posted this question elsewhere on this forum and on the Ubuntu forums and have not gotten any replies. I have googled driver installation and all I find is how to install BFGminer, not the driver.
Thanks

I am trying to upgrade/replace my block erupters with antminer U1s, but I am having trouble installing the driver. I found and downloaded the linux driver, but have not found the right commands to install it. I am running Xubuntu 12.04 and have been searching for driver instructions, but all I find are for installing proprietary amd drivers or for installing bfgminer. I plan to use the Bitminter client and just need to install the driver so Xubuntu will see the antminer.
Thanks

Mike

Nevermind. I found what I needed on another forum.

For other newbies who have this same problem, go to c:\documents and settings\your username\bitcoin

Then delete everything in this folder EXCEPT wallet.dat. Do not delete wallet.dat unless you want to lose any bitcoins in your wallet. Next, empty the recycle bin and run the bitcoin client again. It should re-download the blockchain and work fine.

Hope others may find this useful!

I keep getting the following error after installing the bitcoin wallet.

BITCOIN-QT HAS ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO CLOSE.

I saw where someone had posted the same problem, then posted again that they had fixed it, but did not post the solution. I have uninstalled the wallet and reinstalled and also re-downloaded the program twice, but keep getting the same error. My computer is running Win XP, but I am building a linux box for a miner.
Anybody have some suggestions?

Thanks
