1  Bitcoin / Electrum / Problems with Electrum 3.0.1 / ledger nano s / linux on: November 08, 2017, 06:21:17 AM
I'm not having luck getting my ledger nano s running current firmware recognized by Electrum 3.0.1 on my Ubuntu machine.  I added the udev rules and tried both the pip install and the python .tar.gz for install.  I keep getting electrum saying that "No Hardware Device Detected."   Any ideas?
2  Bitcoin / Armory / Unable to send BTC on: October 31, 2017, 04:01:37 PM
Hello all.

I'm having a problem with armory .96.3 linux 64bit.  I'm running core .15.0.1 with the data directory on a separate disk.  I've pointed Armory toward my core installation location /bin folder and use a symlink from .bitcoin/ to my secondary hard drive for the blockchain.

Armory loads fine, scans the transactions and database, shows online, shows current block in green in the bottom right.  My two wallets are listed with the appropriate balances and shows them as spendable now.

I sent my btc over to armory a few weeks back in order to use segwit and have them in a segwit address on one wallet.  I was trying to send to the new wallet in armory post btc gold fork but am unable to do so.  I click send, it asks me to confirm, then asks for my password to unlock.  After typing in the password I'm back to the wallet management screen to send but nothing happens.  I have tried erasing everything, (make uninstall, make clean armory compiled from source), removing .armory, removing the blockchain, redownloading the blockchain with core, reinstalling armory with the .deb and restoring my wallets.

Same problem exists.  I then ran a rebuild and rescan with no change in behavior.

On a side note, I tried sweeping my keys into electrum but it said nothing was found.  I'm assuming electrum does not support segwit addresses.

Whats next on the troubleshooting?  I wanted to use armory for more control and security but right now have lost access to a good chunk of my btc.

Thank you.
