1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MOON] Mooncoin: You know where it's headed! NEW SOURCE RELEASED 2/16/2014! on: March 02, 2014, 01:10:13 PM
Unfortunately I joined this boat within a couple of hours of seeing moon in Cryptsy Sad  I made a fatal assumption of seeing similarities with DOGE so invested 1 btc and when the price rose by another satoshi, I went all in.  Oh dear! We live and learn eh!?  In some way's I'm glad I didn't have tens or hundreds of btc because I would've probably lost more than the last 6 months of mining it cost me!  Undecided

Note to self! - Check the forums before chucking a load of money at a coin ffs! lol

It's dead...no one wants to do anything with it except trade up to BTC.  If someone builds a market and sells goods for moon then you'll see a come back, but as long as people are just mining to dump for BTC then bye bye Moon.

People buy stuff with BTC because others sell stuff for BTC.  Just about all the alt coins coming out are purely for trade up because no one is building a marketplace for them.
This is exactly what I see and say to my friends too, which is why I know it's a pretty safe bet my money's all gone.. gone!  Cry  lol ...balls!

what are people doing to promote this coin in aid of preventing it from dying?  Cry

Take a quick look at www.WhereToMine.com and you'll see some on there.  It might help you in deciding which one to take interest in.

Thanks!  Another site for the bookmarks! Smiley

Hi, I'm also a newbie in terms of post count.  I'm not able to suggest an alternative limitation system, but one would definitely be nice Smiley

The majority of time so far, its been good to just sit back and learn, people seem to ask/answer questions for me.  But sometimes it is a little frustrating while following the thread of a particular coin; that I can't express my thanks or add a quick question or throw an idea out there while people are talking about particular matter.

With the current system, I see how people whom are more impatient, just mocking the current system by creating threads like, 'post 1' etc - which to me would suggest it needs changing and maybe enrol some extra moderators to take care of the trolls?

Just my 2 pence worth  Wink

Hi everyone, decided here as good as any place to say I understand the rules and a hello!

I found out about bitcoin/cryptocurrency mining from the bbc news website when btc crashed after reaching over $200.  I've been glued to the concept ever since and all my other projects/interests have kinda been put on hold over the past weeks  Tongue

This site has been a godsend for the wealth of information I've been able to pick up and now I'd like to get involved to share my experiences too!
I'm currently following the interest in the new altcoins, particularly DGC at the moment, and am looking forward to being able to share my experiences with some of the pools in the dedicated thread.

I hope the current situation with it doesn't change too much by the time I can post there he he

Greetings from England!  Smiley
