They previously said no verification was required to trade. I am concerned about this answer, though: "Do I need to undergo verification in order to start trading on a new site?" If the balance of the account on the new site is replenished in koin, then no. If in fiat, then yes. Does that mean that if you don't take the refund now, and you have your fiat balance transferred to the new site, that you must verify? I think that's what it means. No one will have fiat in new site. You will have coins and fiat tokens. The question is whether the fiat token counts as fiat. I think they are only saying if you deposit or withdrawal fiat, then you will need to be verified. Still waiting for clarification though |

I'm still a bit unsure about fiat, someone enlighten me.. If you wait for the 15:th, what happens with your fiat balance? Will you get 55% in coin (and the rest in "BTCE tokens")?
I believe that is what will happen. I think the question everyone has now is whether the fiat token will be considered fiat and require you to be verified to do anything with it. |

I've read the FAQ, and it was in the bitcointalk post, but did not get moved when the FAQ was added on btce. Where did the NO us resident information go? Is this still in effect or has it been changed?

Anyone know where the no US customers line went? I didn't see it on the FAQ posted in news section when they moved from the other site. Also who are they getting licensed with to allow bitcoin betting again?
Also noticed I can now access the site without the cloudfare errors and without vpn

US customers will not be supported. It was stated before. It is also in the FAQ. They cannot allow US users, they have no way to adopt US regulations for a legit service. Please also note that all the other major exchanges are gradually dropping out US users for the same reasons. In conclusion: an US user will be probably able to login with a vpn. A do some kind of activity, with an unverified account. But he/she will not be able to send documents and be verified. What kind of activity an unverified user will be able to perform? Trading (as stated before)... and who knows. Btw... BTC is hitting 5000 usd and LTC 92 usd. Crazy days. As long as I could trade and withdrawal, even minimal amounts in crypto only, I'd be fine with that! (Using VPN of course). We just need to know what exactly unverified accounts will be able to do. |

I'm in almost the same situation, but am a US customer. I would be a lot less worried not being in the US. I was verified before and wouldn't have a problem verifying again, but we won't have that luxury. If I were in your situation and didn't NEED the coins right away, I'd stick it out. The 55% is better than nothing but I think I'd kick myself for not staying for the other 45%. Btce has always came through, hopefully this will be no different
Isn't your situation a lot different given that you're a US citizen? Which luxury won't we have? Same as in I was mainly in ltc and it's significant amount to me. We won't have the luxury of verification if they are not going to support us customers. |

I'm an Australian, currently living in Japan. I've had no issues connecting to btc-e.nz, receiving emails and checking my balance. All is going smoothly seeing as I'm outside the US obviously.
I have 7000USD in fiat and 550LTC.
Could I get some opinions on the choice between cashing out tomorrow and waiting til Sept 15th? I'm guessing the latter is mostly a risky move for US citizens but could anyone else weigh in given my holdings situation, and the risk of anything else going wrong between now and that date?
This is obviously not a small sum of money so I need to calculate the risk very carefully.

Well I don't want to withdrawal and lose 45%, but I also don't want to NOT be able to withdrawal anything on the new exchange. Tempted to stay because I had already pretty much written off the coins as a loss, but being in US is higher risk

What if you only withdrew 25-40% tomorrow and left the remainder, would it be converted to the new exchange? Or is an all or nothing 55%? Anyone seen more details in the Russian threads?

Hopefully tomorrow update will have some better info that might sway the decision. I was in ltc, losing 45% is definitely going to hurt, especially with ltc prices going up the way they have the past few days. I guess one way to look at it is the monetary value is about the same as when exchange was taken down.

If geolocation bans we're worst case, I'd be fine with that and try to continue to use the service. But I'm afraid there will be more than that with the new exchange. The fact it says you can trade without being verified gives a little hope though.

I'd continue to be a loyal customer, as i have been since 2012, but they aren't really giving US residents the option.

The update also said trading would be possible without verification. Unless I read it wrong? So you could trade but not withdrawal unless you are verified on the new platform?

Losing 45% sucks, but so does waiting for new exchange and possibly losing 100% if there is not an unverified withdrawal option of any sort for US customers. What a dilemma

I reset the 2fa on mine and logged out and back in and it worked fine. But now I just get the cloudfare 520 error.

Maybe they'll do like xbtce, either provide non-US proof or send address info for withdrawal.

Be prepared to owe some $. Im waiting for 2 L3+, Seems like if the value is over $2500, they will want fees. For 2 L3+ it was only $36. I got a phone call from customs wanting tax id or ssn. I got the tracking numbers from them before i got them from bitmain. i think the UPS app will also let you know that you owe import fees. You can pay online, I think they take credit cards and paypal. Didnt notice if there were other payment methods. I think they also offered COD to the driver.

So they cant use xbtce for verification of US users. I guess there will be a new verification method? Any chance their "verification" is just simply to validate active accounts? If the account doesnt get verified after a period of time, they re-claim/re-distribute any funds to cover losses?
