1  Other / Off-topic / IDOLChain - Personal Pin-Up Art Project on: September 08, 2019, 05:29:22 PM
This is a personal pin-up art project depicting cryptocoins, dapps, and anything else blockchain-related as deities.

I've seen another artist do this, but I wanted to do my own take on it with a more diva/goddess feeling and assertive personalities.  They're a reflection of what I've learned and my perspective on each coin.

I'm designing them as women because it's more fun to me, but I'd be open to male versions, too.

Because they also exist as ERC-721 tokens, I first started out with Ethereum:

Alta: https://idolchain.club/eth-a.html (Image: https://idolchain.club/img/ethereum_alt-sm.png)

Instead of going down a list, I took a poll on my Twitter account to see who I should make next. This time, Dogecoin won, so she will be next.

The main website:

Project's Contract

I'll post them here as they're completed.

Since I saw mention of someone taking these and making prints, it might not be a bad idea to sell high resolution files of your work.

Also look into getting wall scrolls made? These are really sharp and vivid, so I think they'd turn out well. If you decide to give that route a test run, I can send you a contact.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guys started to gambling with cryptos or fiat money? on: August 30, 2019, 12:45:44 AM
I've always gambled with fiat. I wish the more casino-like sites (more than just dice, etc.) were available to Americans.
I also like to gamble with fiat because for me fiat is good to use for gambling. Crypto should not be wasted for gambling crypto is only beneficial to hold than to use  and gaming is good to use for flat only we cannot get profit from holding our fiat but holding crypto is best use both hold crypto and gamble with fiat.

That's true. I suppose you already gamble enough by just holding your assets in crypto with how volatile the market can be sometimes.  Cheesy

Webpage + OpenSea  + Twitter + Telegram + Instagram + Medium Blog +dApp Listing

This is my personal art project, and it's my goal to design as many of these as I can. Each design is based on my learning journey and observations about each aspect of crypto technology that I come accross. If you would like to know more about my approach, take some time to read my article on Medium.

Each IDOL's design is bound to a truly one-of-a-kind ERC721 token designed to look nice and bright in your wallet.

Every IDOL design will be available via OpenSea as they come out. All listings include a referral bonus for bounty hunters whose targets make the purchase and can be obtained by signing up for OpenSea's bounty system and getting the referral link from the listing itself.  I will also consider all offers made on my work.

I use a computer for work. A desktop, specifically. I need all the processing power that I can get!
I do want another laptop. It won't replace the desktop, but I like having it for casual use or typing reports in bed.

I meditate a lot, and it helps. There are lots of meditation techniques, too. Meditating while still makes the unwanted thinking worse for me.  But doing walking meditation? It's been the best thing I could start doing for myself.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: August 29, 2019, 03:25:14 PM
I've never heard of people who play the lottery over anything else, though I guess some people get obsessed with it and gamble with blinders on, being insistent and forgetting about anything else.
I know more gamblers who avoid the lottery because it's all low odds and no real skill.
Most of the people I know who do lotteries just do it with pocket change for a while until they decide on a better game. Even slots are better than a lottery.

12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: August 29, 2019, 02:44:38 PM
To those saying bitcoin was the first crypto, actually this one was the first crypto. Though bitcoin was the first decentralized crypto Wink and definetly the first to go mainstream.

I think you can post it from this Marketplace (Altcoins) Section or you can post it also in Goods section.

I don't think you can post this art in collectible because mostly post there are related to Bitcoin physical coins.

However, I found this post selling art on the collectible section from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2700386.0

It seems that you can post this art from the collectible section just provide the image of the art.

Thank you very much! That helped clear up some confusion I had.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Where to post this? on: August 28, 2019, 11:29:46 PM
First off, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong forum. I felt this would be the best one.

Secondly, I wanted to ask which forum would be the best place to post my art project? They're ERC-721 based tokens for my artwork, so I figured the Announcements (Altcoins) was the best area. However, these are collectibles, though digital (and I'd be willing to make art prints if someone wanted them), and I saw someone suggest posting that kind of thing in the Goods>Collectibles area.

Any help is appreciated.  Smiley

Yep! I for to specify. Thank you, and thanks for making this helpful thread!

Is self-promotion allowed?
If it is, here's an art collectibles project based on personified crypto-stuff (coins, token types, etc.) that I'm working on that actually just went live today:
https://idolchain.club/

(I actually wanted to make a thread for it, especially since there's a bounty. But I have no idea whether to put it here or in the altcoins section  Cheesy Grin )
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Weird bitcoin art propaganda on: August 28, 2019, 04:26:02 PM
@undergroundartpal I've come across more and more people now, especially hobbyists/amateurs who are using just so many different software now, and even drawing apps on mobile and tablet (I know, they're frowned upon but well, that's what people are using now!) so that's really nice to see too!

Anyone who frowns upon drawing on mobile and tablet are missing out and forget it's more about how you use the tool.  Grin There's some really robust apps out there now.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My greatest crypto regret on: August 28, 2019, 01:37:52 PM
Hindsight is 20/20.
Mine was when I wanted to put an extra $200 I had into bitcoin when it was at $900. Little did I know that a few months later, it would explode.
The money ended up going to a place it needed to be, so I chalk it up to it just not being my time instead of bad luck.
20  Other / Off-topic / Re: [CLASSIC] World of Warcraft on: August 28, 2019, 04:09:52 AM
I keep getting the urge to pick of classic for old time's sake on retail.
But I'm also cringing over the memory of 40-man raids and fighting over purples.
I wish it were pure Vanilla. I miss WoW before the PVP incentives came in.  It was a fun stress killer.
