Hey, it is an interesting topic.
In my experience, most galleries are not interested because the audience is simply “still” too small. Some galleries are of course open and delighted when more “traditionally known” artists work with NFTs and other digital layers and have a target audience for it, but in my perception “CryptoArt” is simply not established enough yet.... And even less if we want to talk about “Bitcoin Art” in particular.
“Crypto Art” / “Bitcoin Art” is still more by and for crypto people at the moment, isn't it? Most collectors have a strong affinity to cryptos, but this group of collectors is generally still small and not very relevant in the art scene.
We don't even need to discuss the fact that blockchain has changed “digital art” forever. NFTs, Ordinals, everything around WEB3 is revolutionary and, in my opinion, still unrecognized. The legendary Beeple Drop in 2021 has certainly changed awareness, but unfortunately, in combination with the strong setback or bear market, it also left a stale taste that NFTs are a scam.
There are always well-known artists like Hirst and others who do something with NFTs, but the big breakthrough has yet to happen. This would require an alliance of galleries such as the Königsgallerie in New York and other large established galleries that are firmly committed to “art on the blockchain”. It's probably all a big process.
It's also important to remember that gallery and museum curators live in their bubble and have a particular view of art.... Not all physicals centered around Bitcoin and its ideology, history, characters, memes and so on will be considered here, although they will be considered worthy of attention from our perspective.
For sure CryptoArt has its spot in the history of art.... the process is ongoing and in the end an artwork is only that much worth, how much a buyer is ready to pay.

The story of Didi Taihuttu and his family! The Bitcoin family! is also very interesting and could be worthy of a cartoon article. They sold their house and all possessions in 2017 to buy Bitcoin, they emigrated from the Netherlands to Portugal and have been traveling the world spreading the word about Bitcoin. https://thebitcoinfamily.comOH YEAH... how could I forget Didi!!

This is awesome! I love that style (sketch and illustration). I once gave a suggestion to someone to make a comic about Bitcoin in Indonesian sub-forum. I don't know if he did or not.
Could I suggest just a little? To be presented to the public, I prefer stories that are easy to digest. For example:
Bitcoin is a good villain, known as BTC. He has a bunker on top of the highest mountain in Talkin city, which is also his main base. He has super modern stuff and combat machines with advanced technology that is not recognized. One day a world defender named Mr. Fiat was assigned to kill BTC under the name of Gehenna Operation; he became the leader of the operation. Please continue, haha.
Thanks for the input sir!

Some of the best real life stories I've ever heard about bitcoin are.
1) Venezuelans using free electricity generated by the caracas dam to mine bitcoin and provide for themselves and their families during a time when venezuela's economy was in poor shape.
2) Cuban immigrants in the USA using bitcoin to send money home to their families in cuba using bitcoin.
3) Bitcoin being mined by sources of environmentally friendly electricity, such as surplus hydroelectric power generated by dams. Which in turn helps to fund the future expansion of renewable sources of energy.
4) Bitcoin being used by the homeless, poor and global (4 billion) unbanked demographics as a means of digital payment.
What about that man who traded his Bitcoins to a box of pizza? To some it is nothing but for sure there's a deeper meaning. What happened in that instance just showed how far this industry have become. Before, people were still in doubt of this technology that they threw their assets when the price was still low because fee people supported this blockchain before. On the instance I've mentioned, the guy was just in deep regret from doing so but in reality, he just chose his comfort and we cannot blame him in the first place. It is always on the investor whether to continue or not so for sure, way back that particular time, the guy who traded his bitcoin to pizza, was hopeless with the development of this industry at the present. You are right, the PIZZA story is definitely worth a comic story!

Pretty lady sitting at the bar. Man walks up to her and request for a dance and to buy her a drink. Lady says I would grant you your wish if you tell me about bitcoin. Man knows nothing about bitcoin and walks away. Second, third and fourth man approaches her and are turned down because they do not know anything about bitcoin. She's disappointed. Waiter at looks her and starts telling her all he knows about bitcoin. She's surprised. She's falling for him. And as she leans in grab his hand, waiter says, sorry I am married.
Love that!

It would be nice to see the Satoshi Nakamoto story in a comic. From the starting point from the development of the code to the first mined block, and then how he disappears from the community. You will have to read and study a lot to make the story closer to reality, but if you do it right it would be a great comic.
Great idea, a comic about the story of Satoshi Nakamoto from planning to perfection forming bitcoin from start to finish will be a very interesting comic to read. and all the stories are in accordance with actual reality, reading comics is fun what else is the story the same as what is being experienced or is being lived. And it can help spread bitcoin through comics as well as educate those who don't know or understand about bitcoin, and keep it as simple as possible and have some funny pictures and stories. +1

YES for sure!! I started a story about SATOSHI but far in the future... a comic called 2084 where he is still alive and the world has changed drastically. The BTC Time traveler story was the initial spark for this... +some other key things. But yeah... an origin story would be great.

Hello everyone! Hope you all are doing well! My name is Pr1mal Cypher and I am the founder of ENCODE Graphics. I worked with many artists on this web3 project since 2020 and did a short story with the person who initialized the famous Lambo meme... As I would love to create much more works for BITCOIN... and BTC related short stories, I would look for really amazing stories, that could be created as a comic story. Anyone here who knows a good one? You wanna share it? THANK YOU ALL! best, Primal Bitcoin has no story, it is just running automatically. Where there is a story, it must have a relationship with people, such as the FTT incident. The protagonist of the story will always be people's hearts. I would really like to see a plot about Bitcoin in TULSA KING. I think it fits the story very well. If there is, it will be a very cool thing. An old man faces life again and uses Bitcoin to rebuild his gangster empire. GOOD POINT - of course it is about PEOPLE... there are quite some stories out there. I wonder which ones are really interesting... I have to dig more about TULSA KING

This is my story how I first get to know about bitcoin: I remember I was driving home from university when i heard in radio something like "FUN FACT - BTC is worth more than a dollar (1$). Can you imagine that? - someone made up his own currency and now it is worth more than a dollar? What a nonsense" I was like ... "What a nonsense" Who is buying coins that he (as centralized identity) can produce as much as he want. If I only spend 5 min after arriving home to do a research to know what is blockchain and why BTC gains popularity instead of mindlessly accepting the journalist's narrative ... I was too focused on chicks and alko-party. Next time I heard about BTC when it broke 10k $ A 10 000x after... I did research that day and my face was like: Why did I not do my research almost a decade ago! Made my first purchase at 19k $. F.king +1 900 000 % from "what a nonsense" day. At the top of 2017 bubble XD Wow, thanks for sharing.... oh man 😅 I make a note for that and maybe can build that in somehow

Nice. I see the main character looks a lot like Sweet Tooth (graphic novel I bought for kids just last year).
Question: yeah I think Bitcoin users are bad ass, and those success stories (financially) are really bad ass too. I do know of one but a question first: you only take positive stories? We also have probably plenty of terribly bad stories which can also be really cool as comics.
Something dumb but semi true: After being told he's a loser for posting his Bitcoin address as a QR code in reddit on memes, guy keeps doing it, getting banned, but somehow continues to receive small tips from fellow incels and randos.
ANSWER: OH NO.... the stories DO NOT ONLY HAVE TO BE POSITIVE... but exciting... like the guy who lost his BTC and was searching his old computer on the junkyard for years.... The REDDIT story could be definitely the base for something :-)

short story
2012 man under 30, sits at table in british pub. with social housing apartment blocks seen in window behind him. buying some btc cash in hand wearing an IT technician uniform, name badge included [looks like a disgruntled employee gambling on his future]
2022 same guy in rooftop swimming pool of high class apartment of a exotic location, sunset and ocean in the background suit splayed on the sun lounger to the side. [looks relaxed and happy, early retirement is treating him well]
to be continued
not much more needs saying
I think it could be a bit more complex and exciting. I also think that is a story, that many people share and is nothing special. But of course happy for this guy :-)

No images needed.
Just a story in some sentences you think would be cool for a comic or a wonderful article... whatever works.
THANKS

Hope the (low res) images and story above is self explaining.
OUTLINE: After J saw an interview with Alan Greenspan where he claimed you can't buy anything useful with Bitcoin, the Bitcoin enthusiast and early adopter wants to prove the world wrong. He buys a Lamborghini with Bitcoin and sets a milestone in crypto history and the world of memes.
