Please tell me
Is this mandatory?
Why you are suggesting us to withdraw them?

Also very interested in this question...
Do I need to Withdraw them ?
Why ?
2  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE 244 blocks solved! on: December 15, 2017, 01:52:05 PM
Hi everyone.

So, I am slowly back into the mining game, mostly for the fun with 2 Antminer S9's

However, I am pointing some old hardware for some solo mining Lottery Style.

8 delayedarrow Prospero X1's at solomining.
so... about 800Ghash worth.

What do you guys think my odds are of getting a block within the year ?
1 on 1000 ?

A big FAT 0 chance to hit a solo block withing a year,  unless you are extremely lucky

>1

I expected as much, reason why I called it a Lottery... or why I said chances within a year maybe 1 in 1000...

Any other coin worth mining with this expired hardware ?

4  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: December 07, 2017, 02:29:54 AM
This might be a stupid question, but, just hooked up 4 new S9, and i cant see any hashboards on any of them on the miner status page.

I havent used s9 since batch 1, is this a normal problem? Surely not all 4 are DOA?

They are powered by evga 1600 g2 and bitmain psu's.

Any idea whats going on here?

I hope you already found your answer and that your babies are hashing away.
In my case, the status page doesn't show me nothing until the machine ran and hashed for about 10 minutes.
Before that, I get no information on the page. I hope it's the case for you.
Just configure them to hash to your pool and be patient. As long as the fans are blowing a ton of hot air, they should be working

Question about customs...

I am in Canada / Quebec

What kind of customs do you guys pay ?

I was told that things coming from China normally doesn't have customs to pay on it...
But I had to pay around 800$ CAD to UPS for customs.
(3 Machines 3 PSU's)

Does that make sense ?

Shipped
Nov 21-30 Batch

3x Antminer 13.5TH + 3 PSU's

OWWWW YEA
Sooo Excited.

Restarting mining bitcoins for the first time in so many years...
Been not seriously mining with 300Ghash of 3x overly delayed X1's...... Very exciting. Cheesy

Looking forward to receiving my Antminers... Thank you Bitmain for so far, being on time Smiley

My Status is stuck on "Paying" but not expired.
I think I messed up and I am like 0.03 or less BCC short...

Emails sent asking for exact balance but no response... Should I worry ?
I purchased 3 machines with PSU's
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest regret about bitcoin on: October 23, 2017, 07:41:36 PM
When I started back in 2011, I setup 1 computer with 2 Radeon 5850's
Coin value was at 11$
I was getting 2.5 bitcoins per week.
Coin value crashed to 3$

Mined up to 35 bitcoins but at this point, even if I was not paying electricity (miner was at work)
I scrapped the PC to upgrade my main computer... I could have mined hundreds...

Then the second regret is selling the 35 BTC at 24$ each... But hey, I started when it was at 11 and saw it crash to 3$ ...
Sure with that money I rebuilt a miner, then changed to litecoin mining and eventually paid myself a 3000$ trip to greece (got lucky and sold litecoins at 42$ each before it's crash)

But DAMNIT ALL....

If I would have held on to those coins... well that's lots of money.
But no regrets and so far I never lost a cent... all bitcoin investments have been paid off from my original mining rig... If anything I went to Greece for my best friend's wedding just on litecoin mining so...

I was left off with 0.8 BTC (Part mined with my 3 X1's from delayedarrow)
And now expecting hopefully to receive 3 Antminer S9's to get back in the mining game.... All in good fun tho.
I just hope I get my machines... Bitmain has not confirmed they received my payment and that makes me nervous. (1 week old ticket opened)
