3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: KFC now accepts Bitcoin! on: April 15, 2018, 03:23:45 PM
is it practical?  sounds more like a marketing approach.  Hard to imagine someone paying with bitcoin at the dirvethru...
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Plagiarism in Whitepapers, what do you think? on: April 13, 2018, 04:21:39 AM
Today I was reading a whitepaper trying to do a product review, it is one of the most popular projects if you take into account the telegram users... and the whitepaper has a lot of plagiarised content  Shocked

As a university student this shocks me, as something similar in academia would result in expulsion from the university.

My short video rant here: https://youtu.be/JmVAyC-XFSA

What are your thoughts on this?

I see a lot of ICOs doing this, some which are real projects, but it definitely should raise questions about the project and the team behind it.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] INTRO - ECO-SYSTEM FOR RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION MARKET PLAYERS on: April 08, 2018, 04:35:22 AM
Very impressive and solid economics. Focus on the long term vision as that will be key in this space. Wish your team well.

INTRO is an eco-system of online services for residential construction market players – developers, investors, real estate agents and homebuyers.

INTRO provides you with new opportunities

- Buy objects directly from the builder at an auction. Discounts up to 30%.

- Access the official reports on construction and off-plan investment that are recorded in blockchain.

- Invest in the properties of reliable developers via a smart contract. No intermediaries and a minimum commission.

- Join the investor club and receive bonuses in the partner network.

Problems

Real estate purchase is still one of the main strategies for long-term investment. Yet the property market volatility causes high risks for those who invest in under construction properties.

In many countries, homebuyers have no alternatives but buying off-plan. Off-plan properties are more affordable than ready-made and second-hand properties in the developed countries. The housing shortage in some places, such as Dubai or India, drives homebuyers into the off-plan construction market.

Now global investors and homebuyers continue to take risks of off-plan development which may end up with incomplete houses and lost money. This situation is common in Russia and the BRICS countries where the INTRO system development was initiated.

In the digital economy, INTRO services become a necessary tool for all real estate professionals. Developers, investors and homebuyers will be able to protect their interests and increase profits by using the following services:

- INTRO Analytica - is a business intelligence system for monitoring and management of the off-plan development.
Today, the INTRO Analytica system is used by over 20 large Russian construction holdings, investors, banks and the Russian authorities, as well as by the leading architects and mass media.
Demo access to the system: http://english.introa.ru
login: ICOdemo
password: 100INTRO

- INTRO Sale - is a private online auction with up to 30% discount on off-plan properties.
The development of IINTRO Sale began in July 2017, commercial launch takes place in January 2018.
Demo access: https://appeng.ru.sale
Login: partners@introrus.ru
Password: 1TokenINTRO

- INTRO REstate - is an online store of off-plan and new built properties sold at developers’ prices.
Development of INTRO REstate is scheduled for 2018.

- ИНТРО COINvest - is a social application for property buyers.
The app development is underway from September 2017, the launch is planned for July 2018.

6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin breaks $6k barrier on: April 01, 2018, 04:09:08 PM
ouch, the bearish market continues.  The price will fluctuate a bit more until it stabilized.  However, in the mean time, watch more more news.  I guess the next big one will be more big corporation, like Google, starts to put more restriction on the usage of bitcoin.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has a bad day on: March 30, 2018, 01:15:29 PM
bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general has attracted too much attention these day.  It's not unusual that government starts to react to something like this, thus causes a wave of bad news and regulations.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to Buy bitcoin? on: March 29, 2018, 03:06:34 AM
Hi! ☺️ I just want to ask when to buy or sell bitcoin? I don't want to lose money.. I mean we can't avoid to lose if we're just beginner but atleast we can find ways to prevent it right?

There are many factors that play into this. The one question you need to ask yourself is what is your goal? Are you a swing trader? day trader? long term HODLer? Regardless of the goal, only invest money that you are willing to lose. If you are a long term investor, then best thing would be to scale in slowly on these dips (5%-10% of your total size position goal) and dollar cost average. There's nothing wrong with starting small until you get comfortable, but be aware of risk and don't invest if you are going to get emotionally unstable and can't handle 50%+ drops. (e.g. imagine those who bought at $20k and saw it come down to $7k... put yourself in that condition). I hope that helps.
9  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Early rumors became true, Crypto Business Is Now Legal in Belarus on: March 29, 2018, 01:54:39 AM
This is really great news for this space. IMO, the technology isn't fully there, but I think many countries need to learn how to benefit from the development of the information and communication technologies.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PAYMENTBOX - Unique Payments Solution | Token Sale & Bounty coming soon! on: March 29, 2018, 01:50:36 AM

11  Other / Off-topic / What could the new EU Regulations, GDPR, mean for the Crypto Space? on: March 27, 2018, 02:29:37 AM
GDPR aims to give the individual more control over how their data is collected and processed and to make organizations accountable for data protection. Hefty fines will be imposed on those for failure to comply, fines that the authorities believe are large enough to ensure most companies will be encouraged to do so.

More on GDPR here: https://cryptodisrupt.com/gdpr-what-new-eu-regulations-could-mean-for-the-crypto-space/

What thoughts do you have on how the crypto space will help such regulations?
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we need regulations? on: March 27, 2018, 02:18:21 AM
How do you guys think? Do we need regulations in the crypto world? Should only ICO be regulated or legit coins (not "security tokens") too? Can we implement regulations mechanisms in code so that corrupted governmental institutions couldn't manipulate the industry? Can we still have free market with governments' regulations across the world?

Please, share your thoughts. I'm a bit confused about what's happening right now.

Honestly, there are too many scams out there, and the community is finally waking up. Regulation is a good thing. Many may not believe it and think it is hindering the space; but it will be really good for companies, technology, and investors when we get rid of scammers.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one is good, trading or investing? on: March 27, 2018, 02:15:41 AM
If you are happy taking the risk that you might lose some or possibly even all of your money then trading is the surest way to earn more but like anything its a gamble and isnt for everyone, I dont think theres anyone here who hasnt lost out on trading at one point or another. As for investing, i dont have any sites i would recommend you to invest in because i wouldnt use them myself but just holding bitcoin is an investment in itself. In a few years time it could pay back.

+1.
If there is one wisdom beginners need to sink in, it's to never invest with money you cannot afford to lose. Have people made 10x their return doing this? Yes, but just remember there have been many times more who've lost it all. Risk little and diversify and research projects inside out. Never chase something just because everyone is talking about it. Take for example Ripple. So many people started buying when it was $2, $3+ thinking it was going to $10, $50, $100... but the market will humble you when you least expect it.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why China is always bad news for bitcoin? on: March 26, 2018, 04:36:07 PM
China has a long history of controlling the internet.  They definitely would not going to leave something so decentralized and distributed unmonitored.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PAYMENTBOX - Unique Payments Solution | Token Sale & Bounty coming soon! on: March 24, 2018, 02:55:09 PM
Forbes Now: Understanding The Role Of Artificial Intelligence In Payments. http://google.com/newsstand/s/CBIw4uP5_Tc

Something to think about for the payments.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: G20 Calls for Crypto Regulation Recommendations By July on: March 21, 2018, 03:14:16 AM
Can this really be regulated?  The distributed nature and cross border characteristic of the cybercurrency will make it difficult.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For how long will bitcoin exist on: March 20, 2018, 12:46:52 PM
it will last as long as there is a demand.  However, the price will fluctuate based on demand as well.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysts expect the fall of Bitcoin to $ 2,800 on: March 19, 2018, 04:00:17 AM
just like stock, some analysis predicted it will hit 100,000 while others predicted it will tank.  No one can really predict the future.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to mine or buy Bitcoin? on: March 16, 2018, 02:27:49 AM
buy if you can only do small scale mining
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If people stop buying bitcoin on: March 15, 2018, 12:37:44 PM
no demand, no supply
