No, not always. Most of airdrops are just scams. Some of them are sending even coins, but those are just shit-coins. However there are really good airdrops also. It is really difficult to find out such a nice projects. Experience and doing own research will help to find out such a good projects.

In my opinion there are no chances to live in a world without classic currency. As I know Sweden does not have cash money since two or three years now, but for all the money to be replaced with crypto-currency, this is something that governments should impose. Bitcoin is beginning to be very accepted in Asia, but in Europe and other parts of the world there are many things to be done to be accepted. Here where I am there are no physical shops to accept bitcoin. So in my opinion the chances to live in a world without classic money are very slim.

I believe that Bitcoin will be in the end replaced by some sort of more advanced digital money system. I am certain of it. But most likely we won't see this change during our lifetime. I expect bitcoin to be alive and kicking for at least 50+ years.
Worrying about bitcoin's potential replacements and altcoins which can be viewed as BTC 2.0 is dumb idea anyway.

Yes I agree nowadays Btc is unstoppable its too costly now. Definitely it make sense to invest in Altcoins and it's worth off to invest in Altcoins because that we can easily afford to invest. We have a lots of options in altcoins. but I prefer these five altcoins: Dash, Xrp, Xmr, DeepOnion & PowerLedger, One should not be impatient to sell his/her coins instantly he/she must have patience to hold the coins to get good profit from altcoins.

I have a colleague who's very interested in this world, weeks ago i told him to invest a small amount of money (the only amount you would throw out of the window) into BTC and forget about it; at that time the price was 3500euro, he hesitated because thought it was very high and he wanted to wait to drop a bit, and now, on a daily basis i send him screenshot of the market price of BTC laughing at him Cheesy

I have high hopes for it. Hopefully it can go as far as 1.000.000 but I doubt. In the end, altcoins are going to win more and more ground over bitcoin. The future will be filled with surprises.

Hey guys, I wanna hold some alts for 2-3 years. Can you advise me some? I am thinking about Bitquance, XVG, OMG, NEO....anything else?
If you pick the ones in top 100 on coinmarket cap, you should be well in the next few years, as the scam coins have no room in that top. Or at least, not a lot of them.

A lot of crappy forks are on the way. Soon enough we will end up with 100.000 coins and only 1% of the projects being actually worth your time and money. There is a desperate need of a filter...

Yes, there is the possibility to predict what's going to happen. It's a gamble anyway. But, from what I've noticed, it works in a pattern. Right now we should expect an uptrend.

If you wait a little longer, Bitcoin might gain extra value because people will start selling alts for BTC and therefor the price of BTC will go up again. This is just an assumption of mine, do your own reasearch.

I have a question.
What is better? To keep your coins on some Exchange site or to open wallets for each coin?
I would like to hear some advice. What are pros & cons of each option?
Thanks
Keeping your coins in your wallet is far safer than keeping them in an Exchange. Exchanges can get shut down, can get hacked and ultimately you will lose your money and you didn't even do anything wrong. On the other hand, your wallet is also at risk when it comes to viruses and hackers. Either way, you must be cautious.

There are plenty of ways you could follow in order to earn that amount of money. For example: 1. If you already have some money, say $1000. Invest them in an ICO with potential, and if you are lucky, you might get 1500% increase in just 2 days 2. Participate in Bounty Campaigns, you can earn serious money there 3. Airdrops, Giveaways, you can never know how lucky you might get

I suggest you to discuss a Specific list of risks of bitcoin. Please do not only comment but also add or remove items 1. Malicious program: -ransomware programs; -viruses; -fake links (substitution); -phishing (unauthorized access to personal information). 2. Hacker attack. We all know what it is. I am most interested in the possibility of a large-scale and coordinated hacker attack. This will be done by States and special services. Another issue is that many hackers are the bearers of an alternative worldview. Moreover, protection against hacker attacks is also developing. 3. Bankruptcy and closure of cryptocurrency exchanges 4.Lack of legal framework and legal risks 5. Very high volatility of the course 6. The loss of the secret code According to statistics, this happens in 25% of the owners of crypto-braids, who lost about $18 billion to Restore the code and return the money is impossible. 7. Erroneous transaction An error in entering the code for only one digit or sending it to the wrong address also leads to losses. The transaction can not be canceled, so the amount sent can not be returned. 8. The destruction of the infrastructure of the global Internet. And no matter it will be a man-made disaster, war or terrorist attack 9. Long-term power outages in the scales of the planet
You should add the very benefit of crypto, which ultimately beats all these big dissatvantages. And that is: It allows you to hope that one day you will become rich, by beeing part of something which is only at the beginning of it's ascention.

Bitcoin and altcoint fluctuate where market prices go up and down at any time, but you can prevent price reductions by holding prices down! Do not get involved in the wrong problem and make you sell below your purchase price and obviously hurt yourself and the other coin owner ,, keep enduring and the price is definitely going up !!
This is still, the middle of the crash. We have strong support at $7300. Until we are there, expect the market to go down even more.

Right now the markets will fall even more, until will find some strong support. I hardly doubt the next weeks or 1-2 months are going to be green for most of us that bought recently. We have to wait and see where this is going.

I read some news that Ethereum will get back to 400 dollars.
Do you think these rumors are real? I tend to think yes and I think this will happen soon.
To be well understood, I believe in Ethereum's potential (even though so far I have lost money investing in Ethereum, but I notice that it is still a good project and this will makes it to explode one day) and I still believe that by the end of 2018 it will have an increase of thousands of dollars, but at the same time I feel that it will drop much more than it is now before starting the growth again.
I doubt that. It's just fud around here. When the market goes down, everybody goes nuts about crypto. Just hold and you will get through this in no time. Time will tell.

I noticed since the beginning of the week that i have lost in one of my portfolio -17% of my asset and the other wallet is losing -12%.What is the issue that all altcoin is sharply moving southwards. Is there any regulation or ban by any government or any other issues. He who knows should let us be aware also.
I think this is jut the beginning. If you check the patterns, it will go down for a few more weeks/months. I think we will find strong support at around 300 billion USD. It's a pattern.

I joined the Signature Campaign. I have the Signature and the Text added. Since I am only Member, I can't wear the avatar.

I guess we can remove the Signatures, is that right?

I just got screwed out of 0.03 BTC because of a malware that changes any address you copy into the malware owner's address. It even used a vanity gen to make the two first characters of the address the same (I was sending to 1Gm..., so the malware created a 1Gm address).
1. Before sending, always check the first two and last two letters to make sure it is the same address you are copying! 2. If possible, check a random string in the middle and compare it! Even better.
Be vigilant, y'all!
Thanks for the advice. I admit sometimes I don't double check and I am a bit careless. But, I try to stay away from malicious websites in order to protect myself.
