1  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Ukyo.Loan - Paying 0.05% daily. on: July 22, 2013, 10:12:28 PM
To follow up on my post, within 24 hours of contacting Ukyo via PM here, I was able to redeem over 40 BTC's worth (4000+ shares) of Ukyo.Loan.  The process was easy and fast.  And for the time that I did own those shares, the dividends were always there daily, exactly as promised: 0.05% daily return.  Ukyo is an A+ person to do business with in my book.

So how many shares will there be issued in total?

I second this question.

Additionally: "- Shares can be redeemed at face value anytime upon request."

How does this work?  Does this mean if I buy a share right now at 0.01 I can redeem that share with you for 0.01?

Yes, because they aren't really shares, they're more like bonds. Instead of owning a part of a company, you loan coins out to a company. Unlike shares, the price of bonds shouldn't fluctuate much. They can change somewhat if the commonly accepted interest percentage changes (if bonds with higher interest are issued, older bonds will go down in price somewhat) or if the risk of default changes. But normally the price should fluctuate within a few % of the face value.

Regular bonds typically have an expiration date at which time the face value is paid back. This bond doesn't have that, but the redemption guarantee allows investors to set their own expiration date at will, which makes it more interesting than a standard bond.

Makes sense.  I sent a message to Ukyo via BitcoinTalk PM yesterday but have yet to receive a reply back.  I'm going to request a redemption and I assume that is done by contacting Ukyo.  Can someone confirm that PM'ing Ukyo on BitcoinTalk is the procedure for starting the redemption process?  It doesn't specify exactly who to contact and how.

4  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: eBay - Paypal Lawsuit Potential? on: July 06, 2013, 11:50:44 PM
its very interesting, as I just lost a case because paypal said "buyers have no protection for virtual items"

Seriously?  That sucks, there needs to be both buyer & seller protection.

Thanks TF, I'll look into it.  By the way, big fan of CoinLenders and Inputs.io, really well done!
6  Economy / Scam Accusations / eBay - Paypal Lawsuit Potential? on: July 06, 2013, 11:04:35 PM
I just got done speaking with PayPal on the phone and they are "nicely" going to give me a refund for one of the scam transactions and probably not the other.  Apparently, sellers have zero protection thru eBay if the good is intangible, like Bitcoins despite being able to prove receipt in the case of Bitcoins.  Anyways, this seller's protection hole in their policy seems to be to the advantage of scammers.  The guy was aware of other such complaints to PayPal.  Because of this policy gap, would this possible make eBay and PayPal complacent as tools by these scams?  I'm wondering if PayPal decides against the documentation provided in the disputes whether it would be good to sue them and hopefully win in court seller protection for everyone and eliminate this policy gap (at least when it comes to Bitcoins and possible other alt currencies).  Anyone with sufficient legal knowledge to chime in?  Thanks.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Feature Suggestion for BlockChain.info on: May 26, 2013, 05:07:27 AM
Hi,

BlockChain.info sends us here for feature suggestions. (https://blockchain.info/support-desk)

Due to new account restrictions, I'm posting this here, but should end up in here : Bitcoin Forum > Economy > Marketplace > Service Announcements > Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics (http://Link)

Right now BlockChain has some neat integration with SatoshiDICE.  However, I'd like to propose in the SatoshiDICE section of BlockChain.info a record history of bets which uses (http://satoshidice.com/lookup.php?tx=) to populate with information (primarily win-lose status).  Right now the process is slower / more cumbersome (especially for multiple bets at a time) by having to switch to the Transaction tab, manually copy-paste the address from there into the lookup on the SatoshiDICE.com website.
