1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why all crypto world depend on one old tech coin it's ridiculous on: March 26, 2018, 05:14:04 AM
every day we see a lot of awesome projects in crypto world i want to know why all crypto world depend on one old tech coin (bitcoin) ?? do u think its will change in near future ??

there is just too many dumb things in this two small lines that i don't know where to begin Cheesy

bitcoin old tech?!!! it doesn't get any newer than bitcoin! it is not even matured, it is calling an infant that just came out of the womb an old man and start arranging its funeral!

awesome projects? name a couple of them here and say WHY you think they are awesome and the WHY has to be detailed technical argument not the copy paste of some ICO webpage advertising it and not just because its price is pump and dumping and is giving you profit! tell us which one of these "awesome" projects have you actually used, made some transactions in, checked their code, features, strength and weaknesses,...
you see, i know it, everyone else knows it and you know it yourself too, you are just mad because your investment in some altcoin(s) didn't give you profit because bitcoin price dropped and the altcoins followed it harder.

An awesome project is ETHLend. I have been a lender and borrower. The code is secure and fully decentralized. Granted, this isnt something to base the whole market off of, but is a great project. For the market to based off a currency, unless bitcoin makes some major changes I dont see a future in it. Lightning network is not the right direction, if I understand it properly(correct me if Im wrong), the system is based on debt. That is not much different than today. If everyone takes a loan from each other doesnt that result in what we have now?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Marijuana coins in 2018 on: January 11, 2018, 04:54:59 AM
Which marijuana-related coin(s) do you think will take off as more legalizations kick in next year? I put together a list of the ones I could find on CoinMarketCap and compared their ties to the industry that could make them more successful: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2658296.0

It would be pretty easy to go with the current top 5, but maybe there's a sleeper or two in the mix?

Let me ask the obvious question here -- why in God's name do you need a cryptocurrency to pay for marijuana, when it's legal? Why not just pay for it with fiat? You'd think the essence of marijuana cryptos would be to keep transactions under the radar. What is the point of a "weed" coin once it's legal?

Is it just so the pot heads can feel like they have some grip on, or portion of the crypto community? You can toke up, play video games, eat cheetos, and proclaim your blockchain prowess!  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I don't get it.

Well, the money these companies make cant actually be put in a bank, so that is an issue. The way to do transactions is with cash and they also dont want to be mugged. The best way is crypto, and they will have a major influence most likely this year as long as it stays federally illegal.

I use binance. It is great when you aren't at home much since you can buy and sell on your phone. There is also stop-limits, which bittrex doesnt have. Also the fees are minimal

I recommend to advertise the software more. The system seems to be good, but advertising it will make it much more popular

Agreed, working within the marketing budget we have until funded more - thank you!

The only thing better than advertising is an active dev team. This token is very interesting to say the least and hopefully pulls through. Wish you the best of luck!
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins are dying on: October 22, 2017, 05:27:12 AM
Altcoins are alive and well. This is only happening because bitcoin is forking and people want to get into the new currency and sell it as fast as possible to make some money. After that, the money will only flow back into altcoins and ethereum will go up. Ethereum is just an example, but altcoins all together will slowly take their position again.

I have a question, with the unsold coins will the coins be burned or held in a wallet not in the circulation? This is the only question I have until I will put some money in the ico.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Electroneum bigger and better than Bitcoin? on: October 19, 2017, 06:10:56 AM
Electroneum is not being designed to take over anything. It is designed for a specific use and that means in that area, yes it will be better than bitcoin. Bitcoin is designed as a currency and not as much a specialized task. Also, bitcoin will be at the top for a while and will eventually be replaced by something better. Think about how phones have evolved. Anyways, electroneum is big, but will never take over bitcoin because it is not designed to do so.
