1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - Semi-decentralized Exchange on the Blockchain on: January 01, 2018, 02:34:08 PM
Hi, i bought ETH with USD about 65$ 5 hours ago. The transaction has not been settled so far.
How long does it take? This kind of experience is not good at all. Sad

These things happen and it's no Lykke's fault. It all depends on how busy the network is at the moment and some people have to wait for more than 24 hours. So unless you made the mistake of sending your ether straight to an exchanger that doesn't accept smart contracts, you'll get it just fine. Otherwise you'll have to contact the exchanger's support and ask them to manually recover your funds.

Hi all. As I’m new to this I’d just like to clarify and make sure I don’t have this all wrong..
With the change to centralized mode, am I still able to buy usd/vouchers with my credit card and then trade usd for btc like in the past but I won’t be able to send it to exchanges or other external bitcoin addresses outside of lykke anymore?

If I click cancel at the login prompt can I still change to the centralized mode at a later date?

Thanks!

Not exactly. If you click cancel, Bitcoin trading option will no longer be available to you. You will be able to transfer the Bitcoin you already have to an external wallet and that's that. If you accept the new agreement then you will be able to trade normally like you always have.

They're planning to change back to decentralized in the future but for the time being, they can't continue to stay that way because of the huge fees they had to pay for Bitcoin transactions.

Does anyone know on what day of the month Lykke's monthly 6000 USD limit gets reset? It's not on the 1st as I've just found out.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TokenStars: Tokenize Celebrities 🔥 Join Charity Crypto Xmas Auction!! 🔥 on: December 21, 2017, 08:02:48 PM
That's a bit of a pickle, isn't it? On the one hand, it's clear that Next-Level's unwillingness to pass KYC is nothing but an attempt to make more money, as ETH and BTC have by now about quadrupled in price. On the other hand, TokenStars representatives here did claim that they would refund anyone who doesn't want to pass KYC. I guess what they didn't anticipate, however, I take it mostly because of their utter commitment to the project and belief in its future success is how many people would want to get out of the project now if given the opportunity. Because let's face it, most of the participants went in in the hopes of future gains above all else.

TokenStars have been very honest right from the get-go, never ducking or dodging a comment and always responding in a timely fashion, and I would hate to see someone taking advantage of that. Next-Level and the likes should be left to live with their prior decision to commit, and if they don't want to pass KYC it's their own deal, no refunds should follow. After all, they did sign the agreement and it was all there in black and white.

TokenStars should feel no guilt either for not being willing to refund because of that one comment that they made. They could've just said no refunds period, and would've been right to do so. Instead they decided to be too kind for their own good and make sure that those who failed to give the agreement a proper read wouldn't get screwed. And now people try to screw them for that. No way!

I'm newbie, but I like yobit.net Wink

THAT'S WHY you like yobit. Wait till they rip you off like they did so many others, then you'll change your opinion. Only a matter of time till they do.

This is ridiculous how Yobit support works. I sent coins to my wallet two weeks ago, they never got there. I left 6 messages to their support and they just ignore me. Very nice service, guys. A surefire way to lose your clients. Just do your math: on account of me you've lost 5 clients who are my friends, they didn't like my story and they decided they didn't want to deal with you anymore. Who knows how many more people we could refer to you which now we never will. This seems so obvious, if you want people to come to you, you gotta make them feel welcome, and you've done just the opposite so far. Treat your customers right.

Copy/paste from one of the many other Yoshit scam threads:

Why do people continue to use this exchange for trading and storage? Yobit's risky practice of locking accounts and coins is well-documented here. Sending coins to Yobit is playing a risky dice, almost always in favor of the exchange keeping the coins.

For those who ignore the countless scam reports, I can suggest a few charities who accept bitcoins for a good cause. You would be doing this planet a greater favor by donating your coins to them. It's the exact same thing. When you send coins to Yobit's hot wallet you are donating your coins to this exchange.

Agreed. And since OP has confirmed that it's 1.5 BTC it's a huge amount of BTC to be trusting a random exchange in Russia(or is it even located there, now) that has an absolutely dreadful reputation of being consistently the worst place to trade your coins and has consistently the worst customer support out there.

Even though i'm sure you did nothing wrong, you should have been informed on yobit's shady activities.

Their environment basically is completely toxic, the entire exchange relies on pump and dump coins to operate and wallets are in constant maintenance mode. People's money is stuck in every way you can imagine. OP, if you don't get your money back or even if you do, learn your lesson and don't return with a new account.

TBH bitcointalk have allowed this scam exchange to to rip-off forum members for far too long. I have been warning users about this exchange since they scammed me many, many months ago - & I'm not the only one. Over the last few weeks Yoshit have been flooding their thread with fake noob comments from literally hundreds of shill accounts - even posting in Russian, even though it's the English thread, in an effort to hide the hundreds of complaints about them.

It is simply a 100% scam.

It's about time BCT moderators put a stop to Yoshit & their scammy activities by locking their thread for good & not allowing them to advertise on BCT ever again. By doing nothing BCT is actively helping promote this scam - it's got to stop.

@BCT moderators - stop advertising this scam - kill their thread please.

I completely agree with all of the above, thank you for saying this. They give these so called free coins to essentially get newbies to act like bots on their behalf - you get like 3 cents worth of crypto and they kindly ask you to leave a positive review on bitcointalk.org. THAT is why we have so many people praising this whole enterprise. But don't be mislead, because once your coins get lost their support will treat you like dirt and just ignore you. It's like talking to a wall, at least that's what it's been like so far for me.

I sent XEM to yobit two days ago and have yet to see it in my wallet. The message I got from yobit support was that the wallet was on maintenance and it may take some time and they're sorry. Nice. What am I supposed to do with that sorry when instead of selling the coin when it was peaking I'm now stuck with it and it's worth half what it did when I was sending it to yobit? I asked the support how much longer I have to wait and after 20 hours they haven't got back to me.

If your wallet is on maintenance or whatever - let people know that BEFORE they send you their crypto, not AFTER if you want to be professional. Would be nice of you to reimburse at least some of the losses - would be the right thing to do, because it's entirely your fault that that money is now lost.

I'm still waiting for that deposit to display in my wallet.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Changelly.com - instant exchange. VISA/Mastercard accepted. on: December 05, 2017, 07:22:05 AM
I used changelly to exchange ether to SALT a couple days ago and I was charged like $40 worth of SALT as network fee, plus the standard 0.05% commission. I don't know what SALT transactions should normally cost but $40 seemed a bit too much. Could anyone please tell me if that's normal at all or was I ripped off?

I couldn't find CMS token on Etherdelta, does it have a different name there?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Dmarket - the worlds first decentralized, cross-game marketplace. on: October 31, 2017, 06:39:16 PM
Hey there DMarket!

I have a couple of questions for you:

1. Are DMarket tokens going to be traded on the market? If so,

2. Were you able to reach an agreement with any of the major exchanges?

3. What is the expected date for the tokens to hit the market?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Dmarket - the worlds first decentralized, cross-game marketplace. on: October 19, 2017, 08:06:46 AM
I must say it does seem suspicious. Withholding such important information doesn't really portray the team as very upfront people. The more active projects they have at hand, the less time they'll be able to spend on DMarket, and the potential investors have all the right to know that. Not to mention, for all of you who don't speak Russian, the whole team's names are spelled slightly off: Volodymyr should actually be Vladimir (as in Vladimir Putin, it's the same name), Kokhanovskiy instead of Kokhanovskyy and Andrey instead of Andriy. Could be nothing, but I doubt it was by pure accident. And this Kokhanovskyy "typo" in the other ICO? Fishy.
