2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: its Already 10 Days - No BTG Wallet till Now on: November 04, 2017, 08:33:29 PM
title says it all

its been a while since fork happened, still no BTG wallet
That was a shitty idea with a shitty developer team.
They donot have any plan ,donot have any logic how then can come up with the new coin.
Just was a hyip.
I am not actually surprised by this cause their website was ready only before it was 10 days untill the fork happens.
In one word they are unprofessional.
3  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Confused about 2x and the 1:1 coin ownership after fork on: November 03, 2017, 11:25:16 AM
Im sorry as im sure this is answered but the more I read, the more confused I get with terms about splitting and replay tx's etc.

Can somebody help me understand the specific point of holding 1 btc and then having 1 btc and 1 btc2x after fork?

I understand that if I have 1 btc now and hold private key cold storage and dont transact for a few days around fork time.

But what I dont get is where the 1 btc2x is generated from?  Its not a new coin so its not pre-mined, right?

Is it basically down to me choosing to spend either the 1 btc or the 1 btc2x but not having ability to spend both of them?  This would seem to explain alot of the holes I think i have in my understanding.

After the fork, dont they have to become two seperate chains moving forward thus becoming a new altcoin?  Or am I missing something here that somehow wont turn btc2x and btc into 2 chains with 2 coin types after the fork happens?  Miners will be generating rewards on two chains causing generation of new coins on a new chain so i dont see how it would not be an altcoin after the fork occurs.

Is there a huge money risk here for a long-term btc holder that doesnt intend to stop holding?  I think the answer is no, not any more than usual volatile/high-risk of cryptocurrency.  Am I correct that I dont need to make a decision on my favored fork if Im just a long-term holder?  If some of my above understanding is right about the 1:1 coin holding then i think I simply would hold all my btc / btc2x and in 20 years, i could cashout one or the other from my 1 coin example (but not both).  Theres no decision timeline I need to worry about, right?

yes you will get equal ammout of 2x if you hold your coin and if you have your private keys.
See almost all the exchanges out there hold your private key.
So if you have money there its up to the exchage if they want to give you the 2x or not.
Better shift 2x to wallets like electrum and have confirmed b2x.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: bitcoin "from" address on: October 31, 2017, 02:18:15 PM
Hey guys,

I know there is no "from" address when we send bitcoins. However, is there any way to prove when B receives btc, it was sent from a particular party? If A and C both claim they sent btc to B with the same amount and B only receives one payment, how do we identify the sender?
Its actully simple thatn you think.
Ask a and c to give their transaction id.
That transaction id have a success full destination address of yours is the actual one who pays.
Also if anyone of them cannot send transaction id.
Surely he/she did not paid.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Got hacked and robbed. My mistake for keeping coins on exchange on: October 31, 2017, 01:28:03 PM
My coinbase got hacked today. I got a message on my phone saying that my password had changed. I attempted to follow instructions to stop it, but by the time I had, it was too late and the theif emptied out my hot wallet. The only saving grace was that coinbase has vaults which give 48 hour delay. I wish that I would have transferred more coins to the vault as they were protected. Coinbase has some serious vulnerabilities, but whoever the thief was was able to login from my IP and was able to login to my email despite the fact that I had just changed my password. Be careful out there. Cold wallet your coins.
I think your 2fa was compromised some how.
Or if you have not enebled 2fa it was your fault.
Though i feel for your loss and pain .
In September i also lost 3000usd from poloniex even i have 2fa enabled there.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we buy now or sell? on: October 30, 2017, 02:31:16 PM
If its today i should say sell.
The reason is on 1 hour chart the rsi is already over sold and we have found a small divergence.
So now price will drop for sure.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin replace gold? on: October 27, 2017, 12:25:04 PM
first bitcoin has to gain a much more stable price.
second it has to be adopted by a very large percentage of the world and be known by everyone.
finally gold has to become obsolete so that people want to look for an alternative!
(not necessarily in this order)

then bitcoin can become kind of a reference for measuring value.

Once Bitcoin marketcap reaches 1 trillion level it will have stable price. Just like gold it has to little market cap now and can easily be manipulated but its growing fast.
See how Gold market was back in the day, very volatile like BTC. People think gold has always been stable whic is not true.

The price of gold moved a lot in the past, but thanks to markets that are very interconnected then the price of gold has stabilized but there are times when the price of gold skyrockets immensely and gold holders are waiting for that to happen similar to what we are doing with bitcoin.
But Gold never increases strongly and fastly like Bitcoin, it can not change more than 10% per day like Bitcoin. Even, Bitcoin can changes its value ~20% per day. That is the interesting of the Bitcoin market while Gold has not it.
This is a positive but gold have its own positive gold have some base value and some limited quantity.
Everyone in the world knows about gold .and we can exchange anything with gold.
While in bitcoin its only known to few people although in future there is a possibility that bitcoin beats gold when it will be known by all.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the invention of the century! on: October 26, 2017, 04:57:26 PM
Yes i one word ,
you can also add this as 8th wonder of the word.
In the next few years when the use of bitcoin will be eased like hell .
No one gonna used fiat currency by then.
2020 is the year keep an eye on that..Smiley
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: October 25, 2017, 05:10:10 PM
Today again comes a time when you can buy the dip basically.
So its never so late to buy bitcoin.
donot think about bitcoin price for 2-3 moths after you buy.It will rise for sure.
Also.
1.if you buy bitcoin you can participate in any ico and take the early opportunity there.
2.once you buy bitcoin and get involved in this you basically learn a lot and lot more about block chain cause you care your money.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about others altcoin than Bitcoin on: October 24, 2017, 01:07:28 PM
Hello again....since i want to know what is bitcoin for you...and what you think about anothers cryptocurrencies like ethereum, litecoin, dogecoin, eth classic, zcash, dashcoin, monero, golem and others...
Buying bitcoin is too expensive now, I can't afford to buy even 1 BTC now but to buy eth, or LTC I like them both. Difersifcation of asset is my strategy to invest in cryptocurrencies. Popular alt like eth and ltc have good future. They are going to be the compatibality to bitcoin due to the price of bitcoin is too high. They are not competitor but they replace bitcoin for lower transaction. If I want to send high amount of money, I prefer bitcoin. I also like to draw my bitcoin to fiat. using etherium and ltc is for trading and investing in ICOs. I try to grow my asset via those two altcoins.
very valuable input from you ,but from my point of view eth and ltc are no where near to btc ,the problem with other 2 currency is that the popularity of them is very less i cannot imagine eth will be 1000usd in next year only because of this.Yes you can invest in ico's at begining and make a lots of profit in that. But only investing in altcoins is not good.Try to buy btc if possible.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what situation would Bitcoin die? on: October 23, 2017, 06:00:27 PM
Bitcoin will never die as you can see . It grew from 0.01 to 6000 but it still continue to grow up even if here will be bad situatiions
Bitcoin would die only if we wont have power electricity anymore . Just think a bit , if all world wont be able to use power electricity all it industry will die
perfect reply but i want to add one more situation if another currency like dash can take place of bit coin then bit coin can die.
Also if people loose intrest on the bitcoin then also it can die.As only us the people can control the bitcoin market so this the main thing about bitcoin.
It will die only if people are no more interested in crypto currency.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: October 23, 2017, 05:33:41 PM
Are you a bitcoin fan?
Do you spend a lot of time on bitcoin? Reading news, trading, or even writing your own analysis.
But how did you first hear about bitcoin?
Is it some articles you read about? Or just from a friend who has traded bitcoin for a long time?

Share your experience with us. Grin
Yes i am a big big bitcoin fan.The 1st time i came accross to bitcoin was in 2015 and that time i was surfing the dark web..Tongue
yes my 1st introduction to bitcoin was from darkweb.
As lots of hackers only pay and recieve bitcoin with the exchage of its service.
But yes yes the very 1st time was in 2013 when one of my client want bitcoin gateway in their website.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCC/BCH vs BitcoinGold on: October 23, 2017, 05:27:02 PM
BCC/BCH, yes they couldn't even decide lol, and BitcoinGold are just examples of forkcoins. These are coins that copied the exact code of Bitcoin's, but just added some of their modifications here and there to try and make it look more unique. They'll never compare though.
Actually BCC reffers to another coin that is bitconnect coin that is main reason the could not conclude on BCC/BCH but yeah see bitcoin gold will not be a really big thing as its only made for mining on gpu miners although i am realy positive about the next for that is BTX and i thing we can see a huge market settlement at that time.

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment regrets! on: October 21, 2017, 01:16:29 PM
So like most of us I wish I had had the time to notice bitcoin in its infant stages, I had the technical expertise and IT knowledge to mine when it came out but never knew it existed.

I wish while I did know about it that I had put the $3-600 down to buy one coin even last year. rather than slowly piecing together 1 coin right now.

is anyone in the same boat?
to be tell you the truth in 2013 I started a IT start up and one of my clinet needed a bitcoin exchange website back then i 1st came accross abot its price and it was 300usd. seeing that my eye went lit up and i thought woooooooow how can something be that much expencivie back then it was the most expensive currency and only few know about that.
And now after seeing bitcoin hit 6100 i am feeling like an idiot .That initial reaction of me made me stay where i am right now.
If instade i reacted woooooow its soooo cheap lets buy it.I would become millionaire right now.
I am not an millionaire and that's for a reason...Sad
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Im new to Cryptocurrency and need advice on who to buy from and the best storage on: October 20, 2017, 07:23:26 AM
Hi all, i've been studying Cryptocurrencies a while now and want to start buying but am very nervous about using the right vendor and storage. Can anyone advise please?
If you relay want to buy crypto currency 1st try to buy from coinbase if its allowed in your country,if not best is localbitcoin.
And for storage exodus is a verry good wallet. But never store or trade bitcoin in poloniex they steal your moeny and lock your accounts .Please check google and see how many people lost their money in poloniex and they never care about their customer. So my best guess is go with bitterx ,bitfinex of cyptopia they have very good support and they respond very quick.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin survive? on: October 19, 2017, 11:32:57 AM
After there is a BCC can the bitcoin survive or bitcoin will be much more up the price after this
What do you think about this?
for me personally I stick to the bitcoin it is a personal commitment if the value of bitcoin decreased I will still keep my commitment.because from year to year bitcoin value also increased and I hope the value of bitcoin will rise quite well
YES bitcoin value rises but its only in 2016 and 2017 what about the 2013-2014 years ?The ones buy in cheap and hold ,been benefited but others gone downI like day trading my aim is to rise mose USDT every day no matter if i have less btc everyday...Cheesy
