5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: January 24, 2018, 03:14:46 AM
We shouldn't demonize all private resellers of the miners (like for example on ebay). At the end, it is a matter of trust and integrity.

In my country however, it is almost impossible to buy from ebay.com as fees to Europe are a killer. Ebay.co.uk has no fees, but ridiculous prices, something like x4 or x5. Local reseller websites are full of scammers. So for me for example only the official vendor is the choice. Which reminds me that Bitmain hasn't released anything in more than a week (usually they drop something every week).

we should indeed demonize all private resellers, they add nothing to the world, they are a damn plague that make something fair to something unfair

A private reseller is taking an unit from somebody that wants it.

Well I sent my US wire transfer last week, and yet today my order says "expired and unpaid" ...  Anyone else in the same boat?  I uploaded my proof of transfer last week as well.  I opened a ticket late last week and still no response from Bitmain. Sigh....

JP
My last couple of wires went through and were confirmed within 1-2 days. However, they are on a company Holiday (per sales rep) until January 30th.

They are out of the office until the 26th....

On a side note, anyone getting their s9s in yet? If so from which batch are your purchases that are arriving now? I have 19 coming in in March and plan on renting a new space to accommodate growth. Don’t want to pay for February rent if I don’t have to worry about them coming early.

I received my latest shipment ~3-4 weeks early.

Darn... I wonder why mine are still unconfirmed then even with the proof uploaded.  I've never ordered through US wire before, only BCH which obviously gets confirmed almost instantly.  Of course they're on holidays too lol... They should not have released a batch right before and then just close shop for a week with many customers wondering what's going on.

Your status is still unpaid? mine changed to paying 3 days after sending the wire, still no paid status....

Yup... says unpaid and expired.   Very angry at Bitmain for not responding or making my shipment as paid status.  We're not talking a few dollars here and to leave me hanging like this is frustrating!!!!!!!!

Why not just use bch next time. Works smoothly and no issues. Cheap transaction cost also.

Didn't have the BCH on me at the time, if you select the wire payment you get a 7 day window to pay (i still made sure to wire the money within 2 days) rather than 30 minutes you get with BCH.

on block explorer it shows up (I think)

https://blockexplorer.com/tx/87652306ec238f14ccdc814dec79e3add6467055f48bce565f26e487d970c117

You're right that the Txid does not exist so that's a question that only support at SlushPool can answer. They have an official thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1976.0 you could post in to get advice from other Slushpool users. Also, use the https://slushpool.com/help/contact-us/feedback form on the website.

Thanks, I used the contact link on their website. Hopefully they can clear this up...
11  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [150+ PH] SlushPool (slushpool.com); World's First Mining Pool on: January 05, 2018, 04:24:17 PM
Just reached my payout threshold, Slush gave me a payout transaction ID, yet when I click the transaction id it says "not found"

So where the hell is my bitcoin.

Here is the transaction id....  87652306ec238f14ccdc814dec79e3add6467055f48bce565f26e487d970c117
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / "Transaction not found?" on: January 05, 2018, 04:07:55 PM
So I reached my payout threshold on SlushPool, it says it sent the bitcoin to my wallet and provides a transaction id.

87652306ec238f14ccdc814dec79e3add6467055f48bce565f26e487d970c117

However when I click that transaction ID it says "transaction not found"

I am very confused because this would be about my 4th payout and the previous ones have gone through fine, and never would say "transaction not found" when searching up the transaction ID.

Can anyone explain to me what is going on?

Thanks,

JP
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin wallet help! on: November 23, 2017, 05:20:53 AM
If you have access to the private keys for the Bitcoin Cash Wallet, then you can recover your Bitcoins.

What Bitcoin Cash wallet were you using? and do you have either the private keys or a "12 word seed mnemonic" backup phrase? If you don't have either of those things, recovery of your bitcoins will be near impossible.

UPDATE:  I was using BTC as my wallet.  Thankfully  even though I put my Bitcoin CASH wallet address for the transaction, it was sent to my
Bitcoin wallet.  Stressful moment for me but everything looks to be OK now.

16  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: October 20, 2017, 12:00:43 AM
Watch out for the website bitmain-alliance.com and bitmainmasters.com complete scam sites.  I was looking into ordering an antminer and they don’t respond to emails and have a sketchy phone number.
17  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain pending transaction? on: October 19, 2017, 06:21:08 PM
the fee for this transaction was low 5.045 sats/B , so this gonna need time to be confirmed
this site can give you an idea about how much time transactions need , it's not 100% accurate though
https://bitcoinfees.21.co/

Blockchain.info's fee estimation is way too far from accurate thats why if you will still be using that wallet better use some guides and edit your fees manually.
Using this site https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ as well as viewing the status of the current mempool will give the closest to accurate miner fee/s. Or better yet, Change
your wallet e.g. electrum

Anyways, Your transaction's fee was too low for viabtc thats why I quequed it up on https://confirmtx.com/. It should receive confirmation/s within a few hours.

Thanks guy I appreciate the response and help.  Going forward what would you recommend as good stats/B fee to try and avoid future hold ups?

18  Economy / Web Wallets / Blockchain pending transaction? on: October 19, 2017, 04:42:27 PM
Hi

I am newer to bitcoin and I put through 2 transaction on my bitcoin wallet (blockchain) within about half an hour of each other. One transaction confirmed within an hour, and the other still says pending.  They were both done close to 1:00am EASTERN time it is now 12:40 pm.  So it has been pending for about 11 hours.

Here is my transaction ID for the pending transaction: ecc3c4caa0562d2802dbd781fdda89155797522848bbed43fc4a3b28a1c159dc

If anyone with experience could give me some insight that would be greatly appreciated.  I was reading about fee's this morning and wondering if my fee is too low?  Blockchain did the transaction for me and I did not adjust any fee's.

Thanks,

JP
