1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MinerWorks - Mining, Overclocking and Monitoring in one solution on: August 26, 2018, 05:14:43 AM
Looks like a great app for me to try. I have been waiting for the mixed rig to get completed.

Can you add a pool and 2 coins please?

Pool https://2miners.com/

Coin1) Metaverse ETP https://mvs.org/

Coin 2) Decred DCR https://www.decred.org/

Once that is done I will give it a try. Those ore the 2 coins I mine right now and I have another 2 months with them before I change again.

Thank you for all your time making this and updating it.

Ya, A white paper with all those typos... No thanks. And to imagine the website has horrible typos too! This one I will run far away from. Not a chance.. Especially since it is also registered out of Panama just like the dearly departed BITCONNECT.. And how are you accepting BCC INTO your exchange?

I do believe we have what is known as a, OH HELL NO!..

I need to edit my original post. It now does it on EVERY coin I try. The latest was GRS  BTG, PIRL and ETH

So I don't know if it's the miner or which part is hanging. That's why I'm hoping for logs.
I have reflashed 3 drives and it's fine if to all 3 now.

I need an Ubuntu expert please!!

I am having a reboot freeze issue. For whatever reason my rig will do this only on ETH so far. Other coins have not done this so I think it is an OC or heat issue. However thats not the main concern.

Once the system reboots it gives the usual black screen, BIOS , then flashes to a blueish screen. Sits there for a second or 2 then flashes again to the same blueish screen and stays forever.

When the system reboots properly that second flash is followed by the loading of nvOC and mining commences. So it is right before the command to load.

This happens randomly and not every time it reboots.

I know this thing has to keep logs that we can look at to see what step it is failing to load on. Right?? It has cost me HOURS of downtime when it fails at 3am. This time it mined ETH all evening and night and failed at 0530ish.. I found it at 0700.

Last week I mined a different coin and it did not have one single failure!!

So who can help me troubleshoot this mystery?

Thank you in advance and remember, I know very little about Linux ( I took a couple classes 15 years ago!) so if you do make a suggestion pretend you are writing it in Greek cause thats what it is. I will need it barneystyle!

GUYS my rig crashed and hung on the reboot AGAIN!  Can anyone help me survey find and read the logs or tell me how to them on logging so I can capture what's failing in the reboot process. It so random I can't seem to find why it hangs up on the reboot...

Thanks!

Can this mine BTG? My windows rigs seem easier to switch to new coins.
yes. I'm mining it right now! Finally!

try this:

ensure:

Code:
COIN="ZEC"

ZEC_WORKER="Ibizian"

having the $ symbol at the beginning creates a reference to a variable which does not exist.
[/quote]

Still Same error.

I know very little about this but it seems it is not connecting to something. On the Terminal side it keeps saying SCREEN IS TERMINATING.

Should it be set to ZM or EWBF??

Having issues!! Getting error NO SCREEN TO RESUME NAMED MINER. Info below.

I am new and this is my first attempt at building a miner.

I am running an Asus Z270 MOBO with  Asus GTX 1070 cards (1 now, will go to 3or more) I setup my0 bios using all the tips I could find in this rather large thread!

My issue is once I boot using your package it starts perfect then says "no screen to resume named miner." I F12 and type screen -r miner and I get the same error. I have not used Linux in almost 10 years when I was in college but I am computer literate. I know this is a simple issue of the package not finding MINER... So how do I help it find miner so I can get this rig built?? I did find one post that says to put a "switch" file in the folder, but I could not find any more on what that switch file is, or what folder or location to put it in really! I tried to figure this out on my own. Been hunting for it since last night, but alas I am in over my head and now humbly ask for help.

Oh and is there a way to lengthen the reboot timeout? It generally likes to reboot right as I am in the middle of thinking I got it solved!! Of course I don't!

Any help is most appreciated. I know I have a TON more reading to do, I just wanted to get it up and running so I could show my system works and then get into the serious tweaking of it!

What COIN are you mining; and what are the settings you have for that COIN in 1bash?

I attempted both ZEN and ZEC.
I followed VOSKCOIN's video on setup and I only changed the wallet, name and like one other thing.

ZEC_WORKER="$Ibizian"
ZEC_ADDRESS="znbXu4BkWVyT9J9SYUbfrQiSzfgHcVJ1xLE"
ZEC_POOL="zec-us-east1.nanopool.org"
ZEC_PORT="6666"

EWBF_VERSION="3_4" # choose 3_3  or  3_4

# change EWBF_PERCENT to alter donation percent for EWBF Miner
EWBF_PERCENT=0

#ZClassic
ZCL_WORKER=$WORKERNAME
ZCL_ADDRESS="replace_with_your_ZCL_address"
ZCL_POOL="us.zclmine.pro"
ZCL_PORT="9009"

#For Nice Equihash
NICE_EQUIHASH_WORKER=$WORKERNAME
NICE_EQUIHASH_ADDRESS=$BTC_ADDRESS
NICE_EQUIHASH_POOL="equihash.usa.nicehash.com"
NICE_EQUIHASH_PORT="3357"

KMD_WORKER=$WORKERNAME
KMD_ADDRESS="replace_with_your_KMD_address"
KMD_POOL="luckpool.org"
KMD_PORT="3857"

ZEN_WORKER="$Ibizian"
ZEN_ADDRESS="t1VA2CNJc1xv2g2mEtyGpdvVpfZy7LcS9c6"
ZEN_POOL="luckpool.org"
ZEN_PORT="3057"

Unfortunately I know the rig works as I just tested it on nicehash miner for windows. I really want to use yours tho!

My Enhanced verified account  and many more accounts has been disabled for more than 5 days with no reply from them.
...

Has this been resolved?
It has, but hasn't. 'trex has been slowly enforcing KYC policies in order to prepare for fiat trading. The problem is that it effects people that either refuse to verify or have OCR issues with their IDs and the automated system; most of those with OCR issues need to file a support ticket and wait for staff to manually verify information, which is a slower process than the patience level of people who ignore notices and focus on speculation and random blog posts. There have, quite literally, been thousands of people effected by this issue and although many of them recognize that fact, few are willing to patiently wait their turn in line behind the thousands that they know of (the "I want it now" syndrome).

Most failures right.l now are due to id having a different name then basic verification [and/or OCR issues "seeing" it as such].
Currently requires a manual verification that the names match, we are looking to improve automation around it asap

If your request is still opened and you received a response that it is under review, we don’t have further updates at this time.  You will receive a response when there is resolution.
It took 9 or so days for my enhanced registration to finally get cleared up. All I got was a quick email saying it was completed. I know this is different than those of you that have money sitting in there but I assume they are getting thru the tickets just as slow as they can!
