Hi, is anyone mining Groestl on BKX using new firmware v2.2?

I have upgraded and some of my BKX has many rejected shares, some keep on rebooting after about 10 to 15 mins.  There is only couple which is stable on Groestl but very small percentage.

I am mining on MPH at the moment.

Kindly share your experience on Groestl and on which pool.

regards

Mine ran stable on Groestl on suprnova.

What is currently the best option to mine with these? I checked Nicehash vs. ZPool vs. Zergpool. It seems Zergpool on Qubit performed best so far the last days. But now it seems not to find Blocks. Nicehash was consistent, but lower profits. Zpool was way behind profit wise.

what is the average groestl mined on suprnova?

i'm on mining-dutch.nl around 2.5 GRS or 0.00005 BTC

Does anyone try this new firmware?
perfect 10GHs groestl mining

It does not work, time waste!! The TF will become unreadable after the upgrade. Then I rewrote to the previous firmware, it works.

is this your first time program the sd card? you may missing one important step - remove all the partition on the sd card

Not my first time. I successfully upgrade the firmware on X10 last year, with Win32diskImager. I think remove all partition is not necessary. But I gave a try as your said, still does not work. Did you upgrade?

update/////Actually, the new firmware works on the X10, but the new file system is unreadable for win7, and I can not set the static IP address. And another issue is that the new setting will lost after power off, such as pool and web password. I give up the upgrade and back to v1.7.

New firmware seems to be working, but there is no hash in the pool with groestl. Any other algo are working fine.
Can you say what´s wrong?

do you check the miner page? i observe the raspberry pi OS instability on this newest build since they move to Armbian Based

Hello, did you try new firmware?
is it different profit?

i try the groestl algo but the profit not as goos as myrgro, so i still mining myrgro now.

Hi guys,
here the files of BK-G28 Miner. Maybe helpful.

Extracted STM-FW:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1O2yWc-KkXIJTcL2koA0PeKnDfWC83c6I

Original IMG-file:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ZFojVtq0Zul7gdeTsb6E9wYkTClhdUvL

I have already written BK-G 28 STM-FW to BK-X which Groestl has made it possible to mine.
It was successfully mined by Groestl.

Next, I will try to replace all IMGs and check if it works with BK-X

tested.

cod3gen sgminer + BK-G28 STM-FW = OK (No change hash rate. Groestl about 7GH/s)

BK-G28 IMG to BK-X = NG (No Device running)

do you try this

cod3gen sgminer + BK-G28 STM-FW + BK-G28 IMG

anyone have a number or power consumption of the groestl algo and dmd-groestl algo.

i'm using PSU 450watt currently.

Guys, about DGB next algorithm to be Asic resistant (deployment wasannounced in january if i m right, after they said they tested it in november), do we know if they are targeting all Baikal DGB Algos ?
Also do we know if other coins like XVG have said anything about going the same way as DGB ?

Sorry to ask here but cant find any reliable information

i don't think DGB will doing that for now since it's a bearish market.

looking for help , for one of my Baikal is Hacked (again) i change all default passwords from last reset  , cant understand how he access to it, look backdoor from baikal

the hacker can add a pool, visible on graph page , and auto switch on this pool after every reboot , but this pool cant be see in miner page so cant be removed

i looking to how access cg miner config (pools) via terminal ....any help appreciate , want to fix this without reset sdcard , thanks friends

looking where is located cgminer or pool config via ftp , ssh or else

reset sd card is the only option

you have to attach all 14 cables, if you want to prevent burned circuit for x11 algo. each of them is certified for 75W, do the math.

funny 2 x 75W = 150W, 7 x 150W = 1050W, how do you think even X11 algo is safe.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEW BAIKAL MINER BK-G28 released. on: November 09, 2018, 03:15:32 AM
Be careful though on the power intensive algos. You will draw more current from one connector. If you use your PSU cable without splitter, that should be fine on low power algos. But if you e.g. mine X11 and, even worse, connect one splitter from a 6pin PSU cable to two boards, this wont be a good idea.

And just remember again: Ratinds: 8pin connector 150w, 6pin connector 75w.
[edit]

the 75/100 watt concept only used for gpu because it's utilize the sense pin, i don't think miner use that.

Hello, Thanks for the support on Baikal miner.

BK-G28 will need total 14 PCI-E plugs and it is recommended that all 14 connectors connected, but if are not able to get enough plug, make it at least 9 connectors plugged. see below:
There is no PCI-E cable included in the box, kindly note this.

"2 hash boards, with fan cable attached, plug two connectors,  other 5 hash boards can plug just one connector“

interesting, do this cheat also apply to baikal x10
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEW BAIKAL MINER BK-G28 released. on: October 31, 2018, 07:12:22 AM
Would be interested in the sgminer.bin once someone gets one of the BK-G28s.

you want downgrade x10? from the share photos, it's obvious the asic chip wont be same as x10.

on the miner page which shows 96 chip on board, total 7 hash board (14 pcie power), running clock 300MHz, Hashrate 4.055 (per board) on x11

x10: 3.33 / 64 = 0.0521 hashrate per asic chip
G28: 4 / 96 = 0.0417 hashrate per asic chip

Does anyone know how to get Baikan N to execute sgminer synchronization instructions -- monero ??

Can you help me with php compilers?

Or join the discussion together  https://hangouts.google.com/group/oYiLWNsVuy5k9Kqk1

you are no idea what are you doing. that not how the miner works....

Interesting fact. The boards for x10 and Giant B are the same. Is it possible to make X10 from Giant B Huh?? What is the difference?

the asic chip was different.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: sgminer: Baikal Giant X10 / N / B - Open Source - Confirmed OC Giant B! on: September 14, 2018, 04:30:33 AM
its not working, tested a month over 20 machine BKB and ain't see difference into reward. Yes pool and bkb software do see more hashrate but nothing more for reward,then I start seeing drop in hashrate... So I flash again to put original firmware and no more hashrate drop(suspect firmware could possibly stole your hashrate)

So right now im asking to myself, Whats next for BKB ? Not even 1 years old and seems its about to get outdated. Vcash is dead,pascal changing algo soon,library is either dead or gonna change algo too eventually, and all other coin that you can mine have better competitive miner....

owner of BKB, We have to do something.

what is your pool and last daily return?

i have an auto switch script that running with BX on mining-dutch.
if you willing to try it, do let me knows, i try to work out by next week.

the algo menu list can be modify in /var/www/partials/miner.html

i edited /var/www/partials/miner.html but my changes don't show up in the dashboard? i even rebooted and looked at all of the php files but no change.  am i missing something?  thanks!

it's a cache problem, you might need to press ctrl + F5 on chrome, for other bowser please ggole it.

@cod3gen

do this portion of code really working in x10?
 //#if 0 Removed to allow test of other algos
  ALGO_ALIAS("groestlcoin",  "groestl");
  ALGO_ALIAS("talkcoin",     "nist5");
  ALGO_ALIAS("talkcoin-mod", "nist5");
  ALGO_ALIAS("x11gost",      "x11-gost");
  ALGO_ALIAS("sibcoin",      "x11-gost");
  ALGO_ALIAS("sibcoin-mod",  "x11-gost");
  //#endif 0 Removed to allow test of other algos

I measured that gn can execute x11 to 10gh/s, but it will restart every 5~6 minutes.

Can someone test the 1751 carrier board?

Can someone teach me how to post a picture on a reply?

interesting. can yo udescribe in detail how you do that?
x11 is using 630watt on x10, what is yours?

you can you some free upload webiste then paste the link here

Sorry, I don't know English, I only use google translation

This is the test today, I made some changes on N, trying to let the machine mine aeon, but the data presented in the figure is as follows:
1. The power cannot achieve the performance of asic
2. But be sure to connect with aeonpool on algorithm changes
3. I am even more skeptical that baikal is decoded from the control board to the asic blade for computational analysis.

Does anyone change the algo menu at the front desk?
Can you pm me, make one for me...?

Ps. If you have difficulty reading the word, it must be a google translation problem, please understand.

you shall explain how you make the change.

the algo menu list can be modify in /var/www/partials/miner.html
