It is fine that you said that you are a newbie, otherwise, i was going to say that you were so dumb because you have not researched on the forum.
But it is fine, you only have to register on a trusted exchange like Poloniex or Bittrex, in there you are going to be able to buy/sell and exchange your coins for another quickly, you dont even have to wait because your orders are almost filled instantly.
Poloniex and bittrex are the most trusted exchanges, so dont feel scammed when you register in there.
