The recent market sell-off may not affect only stocks and Bitcoin (BTC). Apparently, XRP whales are also looking for a fiat position, as one wallet moves 24.95 million tokens to a crypto exchange.

6  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your world of the future: how do you see the society in 30 years on: January 13, 2020, 09:02:10 PM
Yes, undoubtedly the loss of spirituality, religion, morality is what awaits us. But maybe it's not so bad? It will be difficult for us to understand the people of the future, but I certainly will not blame them. If evolution is such, what's the point of denying this?

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Global Debt to be Worth $12 Million per Bitcoin by Year End on: December 15, 2019, 07:04:28 PM
The IIF report said that that global debt will achieve $255 trillion by 2020. The growth of this debt comes from governments, non-financial and governments companies. This year the USA's government debt has increased on $30 trillion, besides, companies added $25 trillion, households $9 trillion and banks $2 trillion.

"Instead of entering a decade of stagnation, central banks poured in liquidity to boost all sectors, leading to significant asset valuation growth. In spite of that, the financial sector carries debt which is 240% of the world’s gross domestic product. Bitcoin Still Valued Low in Comparison to Size of Financial Sector", an article on Bitcoinist said.

If bitcoin’s value was matched to real economic output, it would be about 60% lower, at around $4 million per BTC. One bitcoin will have to be worth over $12 million to describe the size of the worldwide debt.

What do you guys think about the relationship of bitcoin to worldwide debt?

10  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to learn Japanese as quick as possible? on: November 28, 2019, 07:40:51 PM
The best way is a complex learning: watch moovies, read books, learn grammar, speak with native speakers. Or just move to Japan Smiley
That's how I've started speaking German.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Honestly, do you guys think cryptocurrencies will be gone anytime soon? on: November 25, 2019, 08:04:48 PM
I believe in crypto should invest mostly "pro" investors. That's how we can make this market less volatile and stop the "scam trend".

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Becoming Financially Free With Bitcoin on: September 03, 2019, 06:43:30 PM
Everyone has a slightly different method for becoming financially free, based on their personality, skill-sets and appetite for risk.

I haven't come across many other BTC enthusiasts though that are using Bitcoin to become financially free, so I thought it might be interesting to share what I'm doing.

My plan, simply put is:

  • Invest a % of my Income into BTC (£100,000 / $120,000) - I have almost completed this step
  • Wait for that investment to grow by 5-10x
  • Pull out my profit and invest into residential property
  • Live off the rental income (passive income will be £100,000 / $120,000 p/a)

That’s if it goes according to the plan I’ve detailed here: https://youtu.be/SiYc6ipKefQ

Some may perceive my plan as extremely reckless.

I know I could potentially lose everything that I invest, but I’m prepared to take that risk, because in my mind the potential reward outweighs the potential risk.

If Bitcoin goes to 0, then it will be a major setback. It won’t ruin me, but it will take me two years to save up that money again (saving £50k from my £75k post tax income).

If it pays off, my route to financial freedom will be LIGHT YEARS faster than I could ever expect from property, gold, bonds, or investing in the stock market as a whole.

Although I fully understand the risk involved, I don’t see this as a gamble. I truly believe in Bitcoin as a technology. I’m willing to bet on something that I believe will have a positive impact on the world going into the future.

If I’m wrong, I’m wrong. That’s it. Start again.

But if I’m right, my life will change.

That’s really just a brief summary of my investment strategy (there is actually a bit more to it) - I’ve created a video, also linked to above, with a clearer explanation here: https://youtu.be/SiYc6ipKefQ

It would be interesting to hear if anyone is doing anything similar to this, and what peoples' thoughts are.

Wait for that investment to grow by 5-10x - sounds easier than it is.
