1  Bitcoin / Electrum / Maybe my electrum wallet is not infected on: October 24, 2017, 11:32:46 AM
Hello Again everyone - I realised that the amount of btc I was transferring was really teeny ( it was a test transaction ) and then some fine print caught my eye -
something about your transfer will be ignored if it is for less than the fees on the transfer itself....so maybe there is a perfectly normal explanation for my woes, and I
am sorry to waste anyone's time with meaningless rubbish....my online banking acc was attacked recently in a phishing attempt and I am still a bit shaken up and
super paranoid. Apologies to all.
2  Bitcoin / Electrum / I think my electrum wallet is infected...need help on: October 23, 2017, 10:32:31 PM
Hello everyone , I made a transfer of 0.11 btc to an address, and when I looked at the wallet it had been sent to, it shows that the transaction was both received and
sent...leaving the balance exactly zero...but I saw this under incoming transactions, the transaction history shows nothing. The block explorer is showing the received
time and the mining time as exactly the same to the second ( maybe that's right, I dunno )and the transfer is listed as spent. I am running on Linux ubuntu. The only
other odd thing is that I have a python script appearing on my machine, docs/tor-browser/Tor/PluggableTransports/twisted/internet/_threadedsect.py  (something close to
that) and I don't run Tor on my machine. If you click on it It opens a text editor and you see a page of code, apparently from Twisted Matrix Laboratories..then just after
my payment was hijacked a second one appeared from the same people, called selectreactor.py .....so yeah,I don't trust these things. If you look at it, it talks about
win32select wrapper, and twisted.internet.win32eventreactor .....so i am gonna check my machine out. But there are many people here much cleverer than me, maybe you guys have heard of something like this ?... I saw a post by someone called helen on here, and it sounds like it could be the same malware or whatever it is.
