1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FTC][PPLNS][0% Fee] d2 FeatherCoin Pool :: ftc.d2.cc on: June 16, 2013, 07:39:05 AM
FTC miners should move to d2's PPLNS pool. I am a little surprised that this pool is not more popular than it is as it runs very well.

The communication by efforts of the admin throughout the attacks were top notch! General support is excellent though rarely needed. The layout of the site is also very good.

Could not ask for a better FTC pool - just wish there were more users to speed up block discovery.

Those of you after FTC, get on board at http://ftc.d2.cc/  Grin
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Phenix coin Haters on: June 11, 2013, 10:25:06 PM
I invested a bit of time in to PXC. Their mistake is not growing a community.

They don't have a forum listed on their website - not even a link to bitcointalk.
Their poker site was a ripper of an idea but it barely worked.
The poker site went from barely working to not working - I have not seen a promised hourly tournament in a week.
My balance on the poker site has since disappeared.

So, compared to feathercoin which has a very active community and a marketplace and is on an exchange, why would anyone bother with PXC? Some good ideas, but poor execution and little to no communication channels. An absolute shame cause the poker idea could be a game changer.

Shame this isn't more reliable and more active. Most tournaments seem to get cancelled due to lack of registered players.

Its a really good system and it would be great for it to succeed.

Frustrating... but necessary I guess.

Changed my mind. 4 hours of constant activity is far from necessary. We don't all live on the Internet for 18 hours a day!

All I want to do is participate in some PXC coin discussion. I made my 5 posts but because I have not spent 4 frigging hours flipping through pages I still can not post. I have been lurking here for quite a while but never bothered signing up. I can see how that was a mistake! I'd easily be up to my 4 hours by now.

I think 30 - 60 minutes of activity in conjunction with the 5 posts would be more than enough.

I hope the 4 hour requirement can be relaxed a little moving forward.

I occasionally get a false positive for cgminer. Very frustrating.

I reboot when my GPU's crash Sad

I should really do it every 2 days max. I have 3x5850's with decent overclocks. Getting 400mh/s on one of them.

Hey!

Been mining for about 6 weeks myself. Going to scream and delete all my accounts / mining programs when I get the damn power bill though!
