Though the BTC is facing a hard time in the very beginning of 2018 but yes we can say that this year will mark the very uprise of BTC and others like ETH etc. but the question remains despite the 20% downfall in the very beginning,will BTC continue to grow.Well it is surely a fact that BTC never fails to amaze us be it  with sudden downfall or an extreme uprise but the total outcome in the very end will lead to the rise of it.So I guess my answer to the question is "yes", Bitcoin would surely thrive in this new 2018 era

Already Bitcoin is moving into the minds of people but if we advertise this on TV, this might have a huge impact on the BTC. More people would know about it and many will even invest in it and it might even rise to an unexpected level say 30k U$D(who knows).But this might also have a negative effect on BTC as there are plenty of bad people who would try to convert black money into BTC and fearing this many countries might even ban it(India is initiating plans to do so) and it might have a fall in price but the net effect would always lead to profit.

20 k U$D is a lot to say , BTCcan even gave a swift decline in its value due to the current ICO mess(if u know abt it) and it might result in the fall of the value of BTC however its expected to expand after this while mess is cleared up and it would a bright sunny day for the BTC users.Current reports suggest that BTC might face a downfall of abt 8k USD i.e it might go below 10k (hard to imagine right) and if this happens it would surely affect the crypto currency in devastating ways.

Currently BTC cannot be termed as money as it's one of the many developing currencies(and that to rapidly) and plus it's not accepted worldwide so u might have to break ur head while you are handling transactions in BTC. In my country BTC is neither legal nor illegal but in many countries it's either of them and until it's accepted worldwide it can't take the position of so called money 💰.

According to the statistics on the world wide web b it coin has a value of $5770 and according to the news it might even go to $10000.
