Try to be more interesting, think of life stories or situations you can tell. I used to think of myself as boring or antisocial, sometimes I still do, but it helps if you can be a little outgoing or at least put yourself in situations where you have to get out of the house and be around people.

I read them, I love them, I wish I had more of them. I live abroad so it is not always easy to find them in my language but I have brought a few favorites that I like to read again from time to time such as "Watchmen" or "Batman Returns".

Practice, practice, practice. That is the most important thing you can do. Read books in that language, watch movies/tv in that language. The best thing you could do would be to try and go live in the place of the language you would like to learn.

Either The Thing, which is a horror classic or It Follows, it doesn't have many jump scares but the ideas of the film are really suspenseful.
