Anyone using new all-in-one xmr-stak? I have compiled it, but with disabled CPU and Nvidia backend. Getting about 100h/s less per vega 56, compared to old xmr-stak-amd when using same intensity for threads.
What stak config do u use?

Can anyone post working and optimized Vega 56 softpp mod for Monero mining? There is a lot mods on the internet, but most of them are not well optimized.
Is it worth flashing Vega 56 to 64 bios or not? I can pull up to 1970 h/s on some cards with 56 bios. How much can i gain with flashing?

When i disable my new Vega 56 and re-enable in device manager, it cannot recover to OK state. Instead an error is shown, the device is not working properly, sometimes even BSOD. When i restart PC, the GPU is working OK again.
Tried reinstalling blockchain drivers with DDU, switching risers, cables, but did not help. Do you have any idea why this is happening? (i need to do the disable/enable process for monero mining)
You have a bad GPU. Took me days to figure it out. Get it replaced. 2 out of 10 seems too much. There has to be some trick.

Does anyone have Vega 56 rig running 24/7 for weeks? I am mainly interested whether the stability can be achieved without touching for extended period. I currently run Vegas 64 with no issues. Is there any diffference?

Tried toggling HBCC in global settings, devcon.exe, nothing seems to turn on HBCC. I have 12 GPU rig prepared but this ... HBCC just does not work on 12 GPU drivers.
What version of Windows do you have? The Fall Creators Update (1709) is supposed to correct those limitations. I have the Fall Creators Update. According to my understanding, the limitation is caused by drivers, not by Windows. Now, i use blockchain drivers with the limit of max 8 gpus. Yes, you are right. Win10 64bit in thery supports unlimited numbers of gpus. So its only a driver limitation. With new drivers you are able to install 12gpus. Gpu workload option is not available for vegas. Not yet. Anyway my 10x vega64 rig is prepaired, but it is a shame that asrock mobo h110 pro btc+ is not able to handle more than 9x vega64. With 10x of them, the board not even start booting to bios... My interpretation of the AMD release notes is, that the gpu workload is there and is automatically activated (without the toggle) for Vegas. However, turning on/off hbcc has no effect. What do you mine right now? What drivers do you use for 9 cards?

Best to only activate p1 and p7 for cpu and mem p1 and p3? But if i deactivate(strg+click on the state) power states in OverdriveNTool, after press apply there are back. Same @you? GPUz doesn't see the vdcc adjustage.
@Rampage89 test to deactivate and activate the gpu in Windows devices manager, then start mining. better?

Have anyone been able to successfully mine Monero on vegas with the compute drivers merged into standard drivers (past 17.10.2). I have been trying to figure it out, but was not successful at all. It looks like the compute driver is there, but HBCC toggle has no effect on the performance - cannot get past 1200 with no OC (tried versions 17.10.3 and 17.11.1).

Guys, I can confirm the script activates HBCC (tested it on 4 Vegas 64). I think it is truly impressive what HBCCACTIVATE has done and he deserves the devfee. I also think it would not be fair to share it publicly as he clearly spent a lot of time on it.
Additionally, I can confirm, i have extracted the script to work with any miner. However, there is one more thing to be said, the script contains hidden DLL library that does the actual job which cannot be decompiled properly and may contain virus (even though it is unlikely).
If you are really into having the script to run with any miner, i appreciate the XMR donations here (at least i will have my day payed): 4ApEdi82fFeTkNzk9MkE8TC21FHzbfBjyjX2v6mnGAGHC8bvxq5KJL2Fu8MXCm6ihha8af9jRWe8LE6 Md8HkmziJKj9xios
However, it would be nicer from you to give credit to HBCCACTIVATE.
My job is finished, signing out...

I splitted the tool in two standalone .exe-files due to xmr-stak-amd license restrictions.
Good idea. Now everything should be ok. From my perspective, I can confirm the script is not a virus and should be enabling HBCC. Let's try it out. It's a powershell!

Disassembled it into fairly ok C# Visual Studio project. If interested, PM.

yeah highly doubtful. HBCC is not something XMR-STAK can control directly so I don't see....oh wait dev fee is changed. so its just a recompiled xmrstak with a changed dev fee ? I really dont see hbcc problem solving here at all. how much ram do you have anyway
Xmr-stak does not do the trick... i run a simple call of xmr-stack after activating hbcc. I will reupload the tool after checking the license. It would help to gain trust for your solution if you could attach screenshot with results from xmr-stak-amd (connection length, submited shares, error report, hashrate on the pool side, etc..). Anyway, i suspect that the issue has been resolved by the Fall Creators update with 17.10.2 AMD driver. Can anyone confirm my hypothesis? Unfortunately, i don't have physical access to my rigs ATM. The program in the forked repo is not the same as presented in video on youtube. If you search for the added console output at the beginning (for example "HBCC will be activated"), you will find 0 results. Since it is asking for admin permissions, it is probably changing registry.
