They're almost back
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to the forum and crypto on: November 08, 2017, 01:56:28 PM
Great start, Mike! I have a similar story about the crypto world apart that I decided to not invest until getting enough knowledge about investing and crypto itself. How do you fill, it was the right choice to invest just at the beginning of your path in the cryptocurrency?

It was easy for me because I learned I could depend on the "top 3" being BTC, ETH, and LTC. So I bought those, and branched out after that.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Surviving segwit2x hardfork on: November 07, 2017, 01:10:39 PM
I'm in ALTs 100%
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the perfect Cryptocurrency? on: November 07, 2017, 12:48:07 PM
Groestlecoin
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the reason for Pump in Bitcoin Price? Is the price is real valued one ? on: November 01, 2017, 12:41:10 PM
Upcoming fork, market manipulation, etc. It's always very unpredictable, and my guess is after the fork it'll plummet a bit and ALTs will return.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the perfect Cryptocurrency? on: November 01, 2017, 12:32:56 PM
Litecoin.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: November 01, 2017, 12:05:59 PM
I plan on holding. I hope to see BTC hit it mainstreams so I can make purchases on things I want with my BTC.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Thoughts on $MTL currently? on: November 01, 2017, 11:47:33 AM
What have those of you holding any amount of $MTL done after the last few days of nonsense? Dump and run? Hold and wait? Curious to know.

Marshal has been in the Telegram channel himself assuring us things will turn around, I sure hope he's right.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin legitimate or illegal? on: October 31, 2017, 11:28:35 AM
All currencies around the world fund crime. Nothing new here  Huh
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'll never stop buying Bitcoin on: October 30, 2017, 04:43:13 PM
This exactly what I had been doing ever since I had started doing bitcoin. I keep on buying bitcoins even if it is just a small amount whenever I have some extra cash on me regardless if the current price. I see bitcoin as a great investment so I'm looking forward to be successful in the long run.

Same boat for me. Buy with extra cash so you don't feel it in your day to day and just wait. You'll feel worse if you chose to ignore it rather than investing and having it flop.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you keep buying? on: October 30, 2017, 04:12:25 PM
I have a weekly recurring buy set for $BTC. Don't care about the price at the time, it's only going up so the more I hold the more I'll profit.

I do this with a safe amount though, maybe like 3% of my weekly paycheck so I don't actually hurt from doing it. If it works out, great. If not, at least I didn't put all my eggs in one basket.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people use Bitcoin? on: October 30, 2017, 03:38:59 PM
The more you use BTC, the less you use the banks. Fuck the banks.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: October 30, 2017, 11:52:08 AM
To me it's an investment. I'm investing in something that will hopefully shake up the banks and put them on the edge of their seats and get them to fix their crooked ways.

Also, the blockchain is amazing technology.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'll never stop buying Bitcoin on: October 27, 2017, 01:58:05 PM
I'm with you man, but I don't dump all of my cash into BTC. I wish I could, but not anytime soon. I deposit some weekly from my paychecks, but having a mortgage, car payment, etc etc etc doesn't give me the option to put as much as I'd really want. Every little bit counts though, good luck everyone.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you research the company before participating in a bounty? on: October 27, 2017, 12:57:53 PM
I would truly hope everyone answered this question with a simple "yes"

If you throw money away that easily, I'll FWD you my wallet address and just send me your coins.

As far as questions I look for their whitepaper and give it a read to make sure they have a concrete plan I find interesting and smart. I look for a roadmap, who's on the team, and who invested in the project.

Hey all, glad to have found an active & moderated forum for crypto! I've been using forums for years in regards to video games, DJ/music stuff, hockey, etc.

I just got into crypto over a month ago without much knowledge on what Bitcoin really is. I realized that was a little silly of me to throw money into something I don't fully understand so I started to educate myself about what Bitcoin really was and since then I have been seriously HOOKED on it. Up front I understood this is a market full of people who like to take advantage of excited new traders and dumb money, so I took a really big chunk of my free time daily after work to really understand what happens on a day to day basis in this market.

I didn't go nuts right away, but I put up about $700 USD into $BTC and $ETH and went right into the Altcoin market. I had a friend who was BUZZING about $NEO so I jumped into that and since then I've also gotten into $OMG and $MTL. I've been slowly hoarding $BTC in a desktop wallet on my computer also in hopes the price skyrockets over the next few years.. Which I think it will.

Anyways, that's enough about my boring life but I'm glad to be a part of the community and looking forward to chatting with all of you!

Cheers,
Mike

Sounds too good to be true... I'm sure it would suck up all power and battery on the phone and the profits would probably be very low

19  Economy / Speculation / Re: what you think about bitcoin in like 5 years? on: October 26, 2017, 05:57:21 PM
I am very much hope that bitcoin will continue to increase in demand and in its price for every year, although the bitcoin in the past few days has wasted quite a bit but I think this is not a problem for bitcoin advancement. it may be that by the end of the year bitcoin will reach more than $ 5000
Bitcoin Will Hit more than 8000$  at the end of this year because the price of bitcoin now 6000 $ , after 5 year i think bitcoin will go to 20000$ or more i hope this  magic happens .

I do too my friend... I do too...

Awesome, good to have you here.

 Cool

Welcome.  If you have any specific questions let me know.

Wow! Kwal, you may not know it but BurtW is a very humble "somebody" here. He often provides talks about Bitcoin around the US. He's one of the best contacts you could make here.

I also want to welcome you to this world. There's a lot to explore, so hopefully you don't get bored quickly! Have you looked into Ripple yet? I'd be curious to know your thoughts as someone who's just entered this market.

Good luck to you.
I was just so glad to see a real new account by a real person actually interested in Bitcoins and not just another account from an account farmer only interested in making a quick buck!

Yeah, forums do get abused, that's why I'm happy to see this one is actually moderated.

Welcome on board dude...  Great that you at last found a splendid place to have your future changed to fulfill all your dreams. Pitch in and start earning contributing to the forum.

Glad to be here! Hopefully my dreams do start coming true  Tongue
