3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]CropBytes- TRON Based Virtual Farming Game on: July 21, 2019, 04:20:41 AM
I have been playing this game for a week. I must say this a promising start, the community is far better than others and they have been building since a year. These days you can't trust any dev team.

The game is simple but would be better to have a tutorial for all of the started. I have now deposited 100,000 TRX and buying some assets as an investment. I will invest some of the fund and rest will use for trading assets.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]CropBytes- TRON Based Virtual Farming Game on: July 17, 2019, 11:22:28 AM
I strongly believe that Game will evolve in the cryptocurrencies era.

Instead of paying money to devs, now with cryptocurrency, you can earn by playing.
CropBytes is a good project, keep building the in-game ecosystem to help players earn crypto while they play the game.

Yes "Gods own country" Wink, i will tell you this, it is not illegal to run crypto based business ..
Then you are misinformed. According to RBI rules no business is allowed to commercially exchange cryptos for Indian fiat. Ask the Unocoin guy. Or the Koinex team or even Zebpay.
How can you run a business with something that is not recognized as a form of payment? You can't pay taxes, the Tax dept would be out to get you and you'd be fucked.
So how do you think Wazirx is running their business, rules and regulations have interpretations and people will find a way that will not directly break the law, if the regulations says that dealing with virtual currencies is illegal and there will be consequences if you overcome that restrictions, then there is a major problem and you might even go to jail for dealing with virtual currencies. Unocoin, Koinex and Zebpay have registered their business with the Indian government and no one will dare to overcome those restrictions even with the interpretations as they might end up in trouble, look at Zebpay now they started their business again as they registered outside and that is the case with Wazirx, you cannot find any detailed information about them, i know they are running from India and they are not having any licence to run the platform in India, if these sort of restrictions are implemented we will see more exchanges popping up in the dark.

So the main thing the government has to understand is that, whether they need to have a grip on the situation by allowing registered companies running the platform and the government can monitor the activities or drive everyone underground as you really cannot restrict anyone dealing with virtual currencies.

@legendster, hopefully you understood the difference between illegal to use and restrictions to banks dealing with companies dealing with virtual currencies.

Please understand RBI and Govt are two different entity. Currently, RBI has banned its licensed banks to deal with entities that deal in crypto. RBI notice was to the bank & not to the citizen. So crypto is not illegal under the law even though everyone perceives it because of the ban by banks. Also, this is the case in many counties where Banks don't allow or are not comfortable dealing with entities that deal in crypto. I mean why not? the war is against Cryptocurrency vs Fiat.

So try to spread the right information, setting up the company outside does not mean you can do criminal activities in India, it just makes it easy to have foreign money via VC. Most of the Indian startups including Flipkart are registered outside for the same reason.

Cryptocurrencies are currently treated as digital assets, it is like buying and selling a piece of software and in the crypto world, we consider as an equivalent of currency.

8  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Best way to store physical copy of Key weather & tamper proof on: May 21, 2019, 04:09:52 AM
The best solution is to keep it by a piece of paper, but if you are afraid, I recommend you choose one of these methods:

There are some algorithms that encode words in the form of images but I do not recommend them.

This I think is the best solution so far.

  • Once you hit I have paid, the seller will confirm the payment as soon as they get it.
  • You will get USDT in your account and now you can buy BTC ETH or any other coin

The other option is to keep them safe in lockers.

The objective is if the key secret has been tampered with then physically we should know, as a tamper seal.
11  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Best way to store physical copy of Key weather & tamper proof on: May 08, 2019, 11:03:36 AM
Hey guys,

So we have some multi-sig wallets for which I own one key and some other folks in my family own rest.
I wanted to keep the coins secured and store the keys away from each other such that it is weatherproof and you have to break it to see the paper key.

The key can be seed to Ledger.

I was considering sealing the paper in epoxy and add a paint layer which you have to scratch.
If there is already some solution then please guide me.
12  Local / India / Re: List of exchanges in India [updated] on: March 14, 2019, 10:52:44 AM
Guys I want to know which p2p exchange will be best for without any price different between sale and buy, because of I was using localbitcoins from past one and half years but there is lot of difference between sailing and buying price so please suggestion any good p2p Exchange without any price difference.

Simply use WazirX P2P, it has a trading interface and high liquidity. You can easily sell 10 BTC in a few hrs.

14  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen to Bitcoin if there is a global economic crash? on: November 09, 2018, 11:34:29 AM
Important things to consider.

1. When the economic crash happens, fiat/currency will become cheap.
2. Bitcoin is a currency or asset? If it is seen as currency then it will fall faster. If it is seen as asset fiat will become cheaper against it.

Increasing the price.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen to Bitcoin if there is a global economic crash? on: November 02, 2018, 10:32:47 AM
So if Bitcoin price charts follow stock price charts, that is if stocks crash so does bitcoin then how will bitcoin really save any economic crisis?

So the assumption is having decentralized currency would stabilize the economy. How?
16  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen to Bitcoin if there is a global economic crash? on: November 01, 2018, 08:22:23 PM
I guess it will take a couple of crises for folks to believe in Bitcoin than gold.

A lot of institutes are running for bitcoin, it would be fascinating to see how this turns out. I am sure they have a good economist to back the decision.
17  Economy / Economics / What will happen to Bitcoin if there is a global economic crash? on: November 01, 2018, 10:49:10 AM
It is a bit hard to figure out what will really happen to Bitcoin price.

We could find an answer if someone could stitch these together.

  • Gold price when crisis happen
  • China's economy is already in a bear market for a long time, will they see a bull?
  • World economy just hit an all-time high
  • Crypto has not seen a 10yr cycle yet
  • Satoshi started Bitcoin to avoid melt-downs

What do you guys think will happen and why?
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: crypto currency ban in india on: November 01, 2018, 06:37:11 AM
So government council which is formulating a legal framework to handle cryptocurrencies yesterday proposed that they will be making a framework to ban private cryptocurrencies and encourage the use of distributed ledger technology.

While not much is clear about what they intend by saying " Private cryptocurrencies"
19  Local / India / Re: Is this the END of bitcoin and crypto in India? on: September 21, 2018, 07:39:04 AM
Don't be so harsh on yourself. This is not a blanket ban.

Fiat <-> Crypto has gotten almost same as before with P2P exchanges like WazirX.

There was a time when Zebpay deposits use to take 24-48hrs. Just before ban (Feb-April), most exchanges supported deposits in real-time. After Ban deposit takes an hour via P2P. So not much of a trade off.

The overall volume globally has come down, this reflects on India as well more than ban.
20  Local / India / Re: Solution for people with money stuck on zebpay on: September 05, 2018, 09:13:40 AM
Anyone here tried out WazirX exchange? Yesterday I registered in that exchange and my kyc was approved in few hours.

Wazir is good but volume not much there yet .
yes it need some time to grow like localbitcoins, hope in few years it will become big as localbitcoins.

WazirX volume has shot up because of P2P I guess.
If you are in for buying and selling 4-5 BTC it is instant.
On P2P you can sell 5 BTC in an hr.
