ETH has most likely already hit the bottom. If we consider the price at this point of last year, we can say this fall was more like a correction. I don't know if it would rise to $1000 by this year, but certainly up is the only way now.

This is something that everyone is expecting. I hope the market sentiment doesn't take a swing in December. Also, there are now some big players who can manipulate the market. Fingers crossed!

It is hard to choose between the two. ETH is great because so many erc-20 coins/tokens circle around it. BTC on the other hand is the center of every other altcoin. BUt in my personal preference, ETH price movement is much more sensible than BTC price movement.
