1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.0 (Windows/Linux) on: February 21, 2018, 10:24:09 AM
I haved myself this problem. It is the internal temp sensor of the GPU. If you look to the Claymore info maybe will see (until it crash) the higher temp. So do this firstly :

1. try to use a mini air-compresor and blow up the dust from the GPU
2. change the place of this hot GPU with other one
3. if the warranty it not pass, unscrew the radiator and change the siliconic paste , before clean the old one.

For me it works on 1+2 ( for now) Smiley

Getting this error while running version 10.6 and can't figure out how to stop it:

03:36:40:155   1200   GPU 0 temp = 69, old fan speed = 50, new fan speed = 40

03:36:40:171   1200   GPU 1 temp = 68, old fan speed = 49, new fan speed = 40

03:36:40:186   1200   GPU 2 temp = 68, old fan speed = 55, new fan speed = 40

03:36:40:233   1200   GPU 3 temp = 72, old fan speed = 69, new fan speed = 58

03:36:40:249   1200   GPU 4 temp = 74, old fan speed = 63, new fan speed = 53

03:36:40:280   1200   GPU 5: got incorrect temperature 511, ignore
03:36:40:280   1200   GPU 6: got incorrect temperature 511, ignore

It shuts the miner down.  I am running 7 Sapphire rx 480 8g cards with Windows 10, and I have not figured out what to do to get rid of it.  May be the result of using a pcie splitter on the 6th slot, but I have 40 other machines just like it and none of them are doing it.  Please share any experiences you have with this to give me some ideas.  I have reinstalled the drivers 3 times (August 234d blockchain drivers) flashed the video cards' bios back to the original, and removed all control parameters from the miner.  Looking for the "what else" I can try.  Thanks.

Hello Guys,

I have one rig with 4x RX580. The primary GPU (GPU0) is conected to monitor. If i disconnect the monitor, and watch with Teamviewer,  Claymore (v11.0)  dont pass to initilize the GPU's .He stop to sequence  POLO/SOLO version and freeze. If i input the monitor cable , he go to the next step , find the GPU and make the dag for each one and finally work fine. I try to change the GPU0 and the same problem is present. Mean time the hrate for the GPU0 is less than the same GPU in not the GPU0.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hive OS - new Linux GPU mining platform on: January 06, 2018, 09:33:23 AM
Hive is restarting mostly "Claymore reboot : Miner thread hangs, need to restart miner " - can you tell the possible cause ?

When the hive reboot it hangs on : " starting update resolvconf for network DNS" all night long ..... Smiley

I make the update writing a new copy of hive on usb and automaticaly make update on first boot. Now, with this version the watchdog is more reliable. Congratulation!!!

Claymore anounce the 10.3 version of miner for windows, but i think you know   .... Smiley

The update procedure don't work. If i touch the button , the mesage appear but the update dasn't work , and the old version of hive still remain. Could you do something about this or exit other way to do this manually ?

The most frequent problem is when the claymore start and stop before create dag files. After that all freeze and just reboot the system is the solution. I increase RAM to 12 Gb, i put  -gser 2 in options claymore miner but the problemm persist. Someone fix this ?

4gb ram is enough for linux and claymore and dag file.
I hope you have ssd.
and if it freezes while loading DAG in VRAM of GPU... i'd say this is something with the bus (if you know these gpus really work). Try different pci bus settings in mb bios, like gen1 and so on. Recheck the risers.

Manual upgrade is to run "selfupgrade" in console.

i try also the selfupgrade but the version of hive into de web browser is still old one.

the GPU is work fine till now on w10, and the setting of PCI-E on BIOS is set on GEN1.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How to transfer eth from blockchain to other address (wallet or exchange) on: December 03, 2017, 03:19:15 PM
For whose want to use an external wallet this is the procedure to transfer paid balance  from blockchain to external wallet or exchange. I need this procedure and i didn’t find anywhere this steps. Firstly I try to ask this to the support team of ethermine.org but all the answers from support was copy-paste from general FAQ.  So I decide to help with this tutorial, saving time for others.

STEP 1:
Fisrt of all, open the File Explorer and use menu View- Options- Change folder and view options – View – Hidden files and folders and  check the box "Show hidden files, folders,or drives"
Go to your computer ( mining computer ) into directory  ( for windows 10)  ThisPC/logical_disk/users/user_name/AppData/Roaming/geth/keystore  and find the file with name like this : UTC—year-month-day………………………………   ( ex : UTC—2017-10-03T07-55-08.270501900Z …………. ) . The size of this file is about 1kB.  Save this file into safe place – this file contain the private key of yout blockchain wallet. You can use it to recovery you wallet so be sure you copy into safe place!!!
Logical_disk may be c: or d: or network drive
User_name  -  user name declared on Windows  instalation ex : John, Administrator, User, Student, etc

STEP 2 :
Be sure in  your miner address, ethermine or other pool , the id must begin with 0x  like this one :  0xg1513968f6b6c8b97b7394fab52db6bf2f9e1739

Identify your destination id address from your wallet or exchange. The form of this must be like upper pattern.
!!!!!! Verify twice this address because, if is wrong, you transfer money to other one and this procedure is irreversible !!!!!!!

STEP 3 :

On the miner computer, open a new command windows ( win button+x - Command prompt Admin ) and type geth --rpc then pres enter

STEP 4 :

Open www.myetherwallet.com and firstly verify your balance on the meniu View wallet info . Check the Keystore / JSON File, then , when “Select wallet file” appear, select from your secret location the file you have saved previously. Introduce the password,  then click on UNLOCK button, and in few seconds you have the information about you blockchain wallet. On  “Account balance” you have the maximum amount to transfer ( don’t forget the fees ( platform requires min 0.01 eth for this fee)  - it depends of the load of blockchain).

STEP 5 :
Using the meniu  “Send Ether & Tokens “  check again the box “Keystore/ JASON File” , select again your wallet file, introduce the password and press UNLOCK .
Into the field “To Address”  copy the wallet destination address
Into the field “Amount to Send ” introduce the amount of money you want to transfer ( use " ." for decimals)
The Gas Limit  field is already fix, if you want change is possible.
Press  the “Generate Transaction” button and on screen appear the “Raw Transaction” and “Signed Transation” both encrypted with your private key.
Click on “Send Transaction”  button and one pop-up windows appear summarizing the transaction. Verify again the addresses  and the amount of eth, and if you are sure, send  the transaction.

Normally, the transaction is instantly, so verify in your wallet the amount you have transferred , eventually verify again the block chain wallet info .

I hope this tutorial will help you,  and if you appreciate the effort …………

Hello guys,

I use one  rx570 nitro+ for dual eth + cdr mining and my Hrate is about 30 MHs ( eth). The valid share is verry inconstant and after some hour decrease on 5. So i use the -r 180 restart option on Claymore bat and  in this condition i eliminate this min share. Have someone else this problem and what  is  the solution ?

So, the content of both bios are the  same ? Why on modify procedure is recomended tu use silence BIOS ?

2 different modes. Stock and other is Silent.. Or Flash failure back up
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / what is is the porpose of the bios switch on: October 26, 2017, 07:57:38 PM
I have one Sapphire RX570 nitro + 8GB. What is the porpose of the BIos switch? I mode the BIOs with this switch on front position ( up to connectors) but i want to know more about .
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: October 26, 2017, 09:32:01 AM
My configurations is : one Rx Sapphire 570 nitro+ OC mod with 1700 bios and blockchain AMD driver. mclock 2200 cclock 1340 ( default) 28MH/s (max ) on eth.

I wrote on claymore's bat configuration -cclock 1400 the computer freeze and just with reset is rebooting. If i try to change this value with MSI AB is steel remain the default value 1340. With AMD drivers 23.20.782.0 ( 2.010.2017) is possible to change the gpu freq up to 1600 with MSI AB and the changes are semnificative ( 2-3 MH/s ). How can i force this flag with command line on claymore start.bat ? It work on someone the -cclock settings?

And one more question : what is the role of the bios silent shitch ?

Thx.
