1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: btcQuick.com Feedback Thread on: August 22, 2013, 11:50:04 PM
I placed an order on 8/14, order # 11032. The order screen still states the order is " under review ". I have sent several emails and called 3-4 times and have yet to receive a response. I still wish to complete the order, please let me know what I need to do to make it happen. If there is a problem on my end. I will be happy to do whatever is necessary. I do not want the order cancelled, I bought the BTC in good faith at the price quoted at the time. To cancel the order now and require me to place the order again would amount to penalizing me for a problem that was beyond my control.
Please advise...
2  Economy / Service Discussion / BtcQuick Service or the lack of... on: August 22, 2013, 08:48:14 PM
I placed an order with BtcQuick on August 14th and despite numerous emails and phone calls, I have received NO response. This is not the first time I have purchased BTC thru BtcQuick. In the past I was served in a very quick and efficient manner. The order was placed and the coin received within hours, no problem. The order I placed on the 14th is still "under review" (what ever that means) and despite many attempts to contact them I have yet to have ANY response. I know they're small time but even if they were grossly understaffed, just a "We have received your inquiry and are looking into it." would be better than complete silence.
Has anyone else had these types of problems, or is this the norm?

When I had a problem with BitInstant, I had to go to Facebook to get a response from them. Does anyone have any suggestion how I can get BtcQuick to respond?
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinapult: Crooks or just bad programmers? Both, maybe? on: June 20, 2013, 12:19:16 AM
ZurichLady,
Exact same thing happened to me. That was (one of ) the reasons that brought me here. Some advice from another noob w/out boobs,  Roll Eyes  (take FREE advice for what it's worth), When you were asked to go thru the process of buying the BTC, there's a screen that asks for a PIN but there's no indication that you should keep the PIN, ie. no explanation as to why you're giving the PIN. It's presented as just "input a PIN".

I went thru the process you're describing in your post,
"....I asked support at Bitinstant (kinda cool company) and they forwarded the ticket to Coinapult who said I had to put a ticket in at Bitinstant! So we could go in circles forF'never.) and found Bitinstant was willing to help in anyway they can but Coinapult is less than useless. The never acknowledged they had even received the service request.

I had to go thru the process of buying another BTC and found the screen where they asked for the PIN and I remembered I had used a throw-away PIN (one I use for hotel room keys, casino card PINS, etc). If you'll go thru the process again (only to the point where they ask for the PIN) you may remember what you used. If you have a bank account, s/up an account w/Blockchain ( @--- https://blockchain.info/wallet/----) they are good in that they will s/up a wallet and facilitate purchase of BTC, that you can then "send" to another "wallet" etc., etc., etc.

I also had some problem with "MultiBit" wallet client. But that's another story entirely.

Hope you get your money (BTC), but if you can't remember the PIN you used, I"m afraid you 'll be out of luck, and out your money too. If there's any way I can help please PM back and I''ll help if I can.

9  Other / Beginners & Help / Zerocoin on: June 04, 2013, 04:41:36 AM
Has anyone read the whitepaper on Zerocoin? What a fantastic concept. A currency that is truly anonymous. The first of the cryptocurrencies that are able to integrate it will be the winner. As I understand it (and correct me if I'm wrong), the implementation with the current BTC system presents only a few minor technical problems. Not in respect to mining, but , well read the paper:

http://www.reddit.com/r/ZeroCoin/comments/1f3cc3/is_the_fixed_denomination_requirement_of_zerocoin/

Keep your eyes open. You might, if you're sharp, be able to buy @ .0001  sell @ 100.00.

Now that's what I call profit.  Grin
10  Other / Beginners & Help / New-Be Honest: Have you Ever Lost a Wallet or BTC Yourself? on: June 04, 2013, 04:12:05 AM
We have all heard "Be careful".  Roll Eyes
Most of us are, some of us aren't.  Angry
The best and brightest are careless or unlucky ( sometimes).  Grin
If you've ever "lost" ANY  BTC, not to scams, not to rip-offs, to ANY cause that would forever prevent those  BTC from re-entering the market place, for any reason that would forever
take them out of circulation--- :

              Shocked       VOTE!!! Huh

Leave a short explanation so we can accurately calculate percentages of total votes AND
by statistical analysis extension, percentage of total now and points in the future as
certain "quantities in circulation" are reached. Should be interesting...

12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What brought you to bitcointalk and your interest in bitcoins? on: June 02, 2013, 05:19:26 PM
What brought.......? Practical necessity. Roll Eyes Any serious person that spend time, effort, and butt aches sitting at a keyboard knows, if they have any historical perspective, this is only the beginning. As blog posts, commentary, and major news organizations (read WSJ) mainstreams what we already know we are in for a wild ride. Bitcoin may be the AOL of the internet but "cryptocurrency" is here to stay. Ask anyone that has a decent system if they're printing money with it and they'll laugh. When you tell them you are watch their face go slack. When they ask what you're talking about, tell them you'll "let them in" for 1btc. Watch the value begin to rise!!!
